i wonder if you can give me a rye cookie x outlaw cookie reader
I have been thinking of doing a sort of Outlaw AU for a little bit. This will suffice!
“Cheers! Here’s to good travels ahead of us!”
The Traveler’s Best, a place where the locals can gather for a nice time while travelers can rest their feet during their path. The shelter is always bustling with all manners of guests, some come for the drinks while others like to chat with fellow visitors. The atmosphere can really make you feel like home.
And while the locals are no strangers to the likes of bounty hunters coming through that shelter door, the atmosphere would quiet down when Rye Cookie opened that door and lets herself in.
“Traveler’s Best, Pilgrim Village’s major hotspot, ain’t this just the nice and dandy place to be.”
She looked around the place as she headed for the bar, the bartender was cleaning the glass shot in his hands as Rye Cookie headed for him, he didn’t look up from what he was doing.
“What can I get for you, friend?”
“Get me somethin’ cool and refreshin’”
“One moment, and…here you go.”
Rye Cookie took the beverage from the bartender as she chugged down the drink, letting out a sigh of relief.
“Woo WEE! Now that hit the spot! I’ve been needin’ a drink like this all day!”
She took another drink as she looked around the shelter and noticed that the wanted board posted on the wall only consisted of a couple posters.
“Say, that wanted board is lookin’ pretty lonely there. Ain’t a lot of criminals out here lately?”
“No, not with the Heartbreaker Gang running about.”
The shelter quiets down at the mention of the gang’s name as they turn to look at Rye Cookie and the bartender. Some were shocked while others were irritated.
“The Heartbreaker Gang…they sound like a troublesome group of Cookies…tell me more.”
“They’ve been hitting banks and trains recently, taking off with massive hauls of riches and coins. All masterminded under their gang leader, Y/N Cookie…”
Rye Cookie’s attention was now fully captured as she looked at the bartender more intently.
“Did you say that Y/N COOKIE is runnin’ this gang?”
“Yes, but that’s all I know from the back of my head. Look at the board if you want, but be warned. Watch your back if you do decide to go after them. Many bounty hunters and lawmen tried to go after them, many return disappointed, if they even come back at all….”
Rye ponders on that warning as she heads for the wanted board. The bartender was right, the couple of posters that were there are the ones ONLY in the Heartbreaker gang…
Chocolate Hat Cupcake Cookie (Alt Crowned Cupcake Cookie)
Apple Cobbler Cookie (Alt Dumpling Cookie)
Chili Sauce Cookie (Alt Salsa Cookie)
Snake Oil Cookie (Alt Bitter Candy Cookie)
Bluebonnet Cookie (Alt Rose Lotus Cookie)
and Cherry Choco Pie Cookie (Alt Cherry Cream Cookie)
And at the top of the group of posters was Y/N Cookie themself, the highest bounty on the board belonging to them…
Rye looks at the poster some more before ripping it off, leaving the rest alone as she brings it to the bar counter to show the bartender.
“Quite dangerous game…now this will be interestin’~”
“Are you nuts? This is not going to be easy at all! They strike without warning and vanish like the wind.”
“If it means I have any kind of shot towards Y/N Cookie, I’m willin’ to take it! Let their little posse try to stop me!”
“Sounds like some sort of payback you want to do, hold on….could you perhaps-“
I’ve had my run-in with this Cookie before and they’ve only left me wantin’ to hunt them down even more!”
“I won’t stop you, but why try when you’ve failed to stop them before? And now with their gang, they’re practically untouchable now.”
“Heh, I’ve gotten close before. I can do it again.”
Rye Cookie swipes up the poster from the counter before heading out the door. One of the shelter’s patrons looked at the bartender.
“She ain’t gonna come back, is she?”
“Probably. Who knows, she might surprise everyone by bringing them back all tied up, hehe.”
As Rye Cookie was heading out of the village, she can’t help but remember her last run-in with Y/N Cookie and how it could’ve ended for her…
——————————————————————————————————————
Night covered the desert, the sounds of digging shovels is heard as Rye Cookie comes into consciousness, kneeling with her hands and legs tied as she looked up to her captors.
“Let’s wrap this up, Y/N. We shouldn’t idle on bounty hunter scrap for too long.”
“Woo, for a second there, I had thought Snake Oil killed her.”
“I-I swore I didn’t give her too much medicine…”
“Well, guess who’s waking up, helloooo…”
“I suppose it’s time our friend here is checked out from the banks.”
“Can we get this done? Someone could see us out here!”
“Relax, all. No one will find this place, it’s why I picked it. I want this Cookie to remember my face as the last thing she sees before leaving this world.”
Y/N Cookie turned to face Rye as she struggled against her binds, recognizing them as the Cookie she was hunting.
“You made your last hunt, madam. Sorry you had to be sent to track me down, but I’ll commend you for getting as close as you did!”
Y/N Cookie then pulled out their revolver.
“From where you’re kneeling, it might it must seem like an 18-carat run of bad luck. Truth is...”
Y/N Cookie raised their revolver at Rye’s head.
“…..your hunt was rigged from the start.”
A dummy round at Rye Cookie’s forehead, which knocks her down out cold.
“All this work and you’re letting her live, is this really a good idea?”
“Why not? I haven’t had this much fun with a bounty hunter in forever!”
“She’s seen your face, she will come back for you, dearest!”
“Let her return. We’ll be ready.”
“Then why are we diggin’ this grave for? My dress is sullied!”
“Oh, that’s just for disposing our junk. We may be outlaws, but we ain’t litterers!”
——————————————————————————————————————
“All that and ya let me go…”
Rye Cookie clenched her fist as her grin widens.
“Just ya wait, I’ll relish the day I get my hands on you, hehehe….”
