I am rereading ASOIAF and am up to the chapter in ACOK where Ser Cortnay Penrose will not yield Storm's End and I'm sure others have posted about this before but this parallel is new to me

Making the Freys in AFFC look even worse and more stupid as well

The band starts playing Rains of Castamere, and it all begins. Catelyn finally puts everything together when she sees Ryman Frey is wearing mail and strikes him for it.

It’s nice to give Catelyn a little bit of agency before everything goes down. I was happy with how it turned out even though the foreshortening on the striking arm was a little tricky.

I should have had Raymond react to Catelyn's strike a bit more.

Ryman's Wife = she wasnt given a name, so I named her. She is Anya Smallwood, and is the sister of Theomar Smallwood. She Does Not Like her husband (or her children tbh) and lives in a nearby motherhouse. She's waiting for Ryman to die so she can become a septa lmao. I just imagine she doesnt have a ton of ambition, got married to Ryman of all people way too young, and watched Ryman 'ruin' all their children in her opinion. She ptobably left when Petyr fostered somewhere.

The Siege of Riverrun

Do you think Stoneheart will ever get revenge on anyone directly involved in the Red Wedding, instead of targeting people who are only guilty by association (Brienne, Jaime, and as you've theorised Jeyne Westerling)?

She already has. Stoneheart’s crew has executed multiple Freys, including Lord Walder’s heir Ryman, who led a dozen men-at-arms to attack the guests at the Red Wedding and personally killed Dacey Mormont.
