In physics, Newton's 3rd Law says "For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction." In Alignment based #yoga we call it "Balanced Action". My mother always told me, "Too much of anything, even a good thing, can become a bad thing". Science, yoga and my mama....the three major resources and references in my life. I'm a Libra ♎️so my whole life's endeavor has been about finding balance. There are always two forces or energies at play...the yin/yang ☯️, inhale/exhale, masculine/feminine 🚻, discipline/freedom, strength/flexibility. In yoga it's about ENGAEMENT/EXPANSION, EFFORT/EASE, MUSCULAR/ORGANIC ENERGY. Balanced Action creates and optimal amount of both STABILITY and FREEDOM of movement in the body so energy can flow freely. Off the mat, Balanced actions in our life helps us to move and express ourselves freely and safely as we flow through life.
