I just got back from my follow up appointment for my SI injections. The doctor agreed I need the surgery but then told me that my insurance 100% denies covering any portion of the surgery because it's still considered "experimental" and won't be a guarantee to stop the chronic pain. There's another patient who has appealed the same insurance 4 times and they still won't approve her. I don't know how I can change my insurance when I can't hold a job because of how severe my chronic pain is. I'm feeling so fucking hopeless right now because this was literally my last option. I don't know what to do anymore.
