the imperialism that Israel is aiming at is going to be one of the bleaker passages of the history books of the 21st century showcasing a furthering of western imperialism

#yes it's western it's backed by the US and parts of europe especially the parts of europe that matter in the grand scheme #sadly enough #it's not even something we can vote ourselves out of because the two candidates in the US both support Israel #just taking the US as an example #which still has it's power over europe too thanks to nuclear bombs that are kept here #not that if europe worked better together we could actually distance ourselves from the US politically #which is something i actually really believe in #idk power structure wise i think we need to work on a more connected europe that works together on a bigger scale so we can distance #ourselves politically from the US #just get ourselves in a position where we aren't completely reliant on them anymore #not that this will ensure better international policies from europe but at least there will be more that's possible and we will be able to #deviate from the US #but sadly we can't even handle a pandemic and distributing masks so i don't have much hope unless there suddenly comes a radical change #which i do not see happening #radical change as in there is suddenly a huge want from the population of europe to make the EU work better and have more cohesion #i don't even know what would have to happen for that to change #sadly the anwser would probably be extreme racism and xenophobia which is not something i am hoping for

It's the end of the pride Month. I've been seeing looots of pride posts and that makes me happy. The talks about inclusivity, accessibility, love. That's all just so wonderful!

And it blows my mind that for some countries it's not just dreams... I live in a place where you will me imprisoned if you go as far as to wear rainbow. Not even a flag. Just regular rainbow. There is no pride here.

Survival, rather.

The authorities went even further. Now your friends and family can tell them you're queer and they will come for you. They don't really need to check or hold a trial. That's just it. You're done for.

All of that... Just to stop love.

The worst thing is that I know for a fact there are lots of queer people in my country. We still have communities, just really closed ones. I know that if we had an opportunity, the pride would be absolutely fabulous.

For us, the fight is far from over.

Which doesn't mean that we will give up.

So, happy pride. Be yourself. You're beautiful as you are.

And you're not alone.
