SAHM/Full-Time Student

Not every stay at home mom has it the same. Every child is different and some of us have multiple children, different ages and different personalities. Some of us didn’t anticipate leaving our jobs to take care of our children, because it’s cheaper to stay home rather than send them off to daycare. It’s better to leave our jobs because we know even if we decide to work, we would never see our kids.

I left my job with the intent of raising my child. However, I am not done with my career. I do online courses while I take care of my son 24/7. During his naps and quiet times, I am still working on my education. When dad comes home, he helps with baby until it’s bedtime. Sometimes I have to stay up to finish before deadlines, sacrificing the little sleep that I barely get.

Finishing school is imperative for the sake of my child’s future. He didn’t ask to be born, so I work as hard as I can so I can give him the life he deserves. I don’t want him to have the childhood that I had. I’ll lose sleep. I’ll give blood. I’ll sacrifice fucking limbs for my child.

All while managing the housework and cooking every night. I never have a day off anymore. Even when his grandparents are watching him, I’m still on the clock.

Stay at home moms, do NOT let anyone tell you that you have it easy. Don’t let your spouse tell you that the house shouldn’t be dirty, that dinner should have been prepared already, that the clothes should be folded. We all are doing our best. Even one task done a day is an accomplishment. If that task is giving your children a bath, you have already done it. Stay at home moms get so much shit that it sickens me. Even though I manage pretty well, I have only been a mom for 9 weeks. He’s not crawling and walking yet, I still have it easy. All he wants is cuddles and love and I give him everything he needs first before I do anything else. As long as your children get what they need, you’re doing an amazing job moms.

I had to take my kids to an appointment and I couldn’t find anything to wear. I looked through my closet and found this shirt. I honestly can’t remember the last time I wore a button down shirt or anything with plaid. But I like it! Comfy, casual and dare I say cute. This could be my new fall look 🍁🍂

This momming thing is something else....some days you feel like superwoman...house clean...child fed...you even took a great shower without interruption...other days... you're sitting on the floor surrounded by clothes and toys barely eating your first meal at 215pm...(this may or may not be my current situation)
