house md is a weird ass show bc it makes you think it’s a medical drama/comedy but then it hits you with themes of devotion and love and repression in a narrative that hardly ever allows for explicit queerness. and. and then it ends with two of the main characters literally riding off into the sunset together without them ever explicitly acknowledging their love for each other but showing it time and time again. they’re weird and repressed middle aged men lmao. so they show affection in their actions that come back to a love that’s fucked up and manipulative in a lot of ways, it’s love that’s full of internalized homophobia, repression, and an inability to properly communicate what the person you love truly means to you. but it’s love nonetheless, it’s loving someone for over a decade and giving up your entire livelihood, the profession you spent years of your life cultivating… you throw it away to spend the last months of his life with him. and he practically begs you to tell him you love him. he’s dying but you can’t make yourself say it, you just can’t. so you fake your death. that’s the only way to ensure you can spend the next five months loving him until his illness catches up with him, takes him from you, and you’re all alone. anyway. who tf is doing it like hilson. WHO

Good ‘Morrow

Hello, it is I, your local bother, here to wish you a Happy Saturday and update you on the status of the blog and me.

-The culling has begun. If you’re a long-time mutual you’re more than likely safe. If you see I unfollowed and you want to know why, just ask. The answer will probably be some version of “I’m doing what I can to make this my happy place again”, but I’ll probably have a specific reason as well.

-Obviously this blog has been multi-fandom for a very long time, since I stopped watching Doctor Who some time during Twelve’s reign. I’ll be updating my list of fandoms on my blog at some point today, so you can take a look at what the future will likely be and decide if I’m someone you want to keep following.

-That said, I’m keeping my URL, because it’s freaking awesome and I still can’t believe it wasn’t taken??? HOW???? So yeah, never giving this URL up. It’s mine. Miiiiiiiiiiiiiine.

-Billie Piper is always gorgeous though and will always be my icon in some way. I didn’t even watch Collateral but look at her.

-In addition to being fandom, this is also my personal blog, and while the depressing thoughts have gotten a lot better/I don’t feel the need to vent as much/I’ve found better ways to handle it, I’m still going to post things about my life. Probably funny things or observations. Or things to do with my fiancee

-BTW, I’m getting married in less than two months. So there’ll be talk about that. A LOT.

-Also pictures of the cat and dog, probs. Because those are necessary. They’re both doing well, by the way.

I think that’s it, for now? I know this is a bit of a hefty list, but I have a lot of cleaning up to do to make this blog functional again, ya know?

todd cries after his first show at henley hall, and he wasn’t even onstage. they just had him running props, and tomorrow night he’ll help strike the stage after the last performance. being in henley hall’s auditorium without neil, with the knowledge that he should be there too… it’s too much. so todd bikes back to welton alone after the show, in silence. the right side of his dorm room is empty, as it has been for the last four months. four long months has todd been without neil. todd never thought it possible to miss someone this badly, and yet… his heart and his very soul, they ache with the loss. missing neil felt a lot like breathing, like it simply happened whether todd thought about it or not. it also felt like a part of him had left, left him alone in the world. not that todd doesn’t have other friends, of course. but neil is—was, todd reminds himself—different. todd wishes he’d had the guts to tell neil how he felt, if only just to speak such a deeply personal truth without regard for reciprocation. it wouldn’t have mattered, anyway; not really. once neil perry made up his mind, you’d be hard pressed trying to change it.
