Even though over a decade has passed since the Mesipar Sea War, water people still live in fear of the resilient sand people and their ability to form glass weapons at will

Finally I have a day off, I work in a call centre servicing car insurance, it’s slowly killing me but it’s survival and at the end of the day, you gotta do what you gotta do. But today I got a day off, so I run to the beach, had the most humble of small rituals because this is the time iv worked for to be me. I might work in a call centre my I’m still a witch damit 😂

Use a stick or feather found on the beach

— but make sure you don’t take it with you, leave the stick/feather with the beach once you’re done —

Draw a circle with that stick/feather & inside write a goal you have!

Seal it with something that represents you

— as simple as your initials, a symbol, rocks from the water, seashells from the water, ect. —

Watch & let the tide carry your desires with it

Re-watched “Witch Way Did She Go?”

And a few implications and lack of logic stood out to me:

[1] When Aladdin accuses Sadira of attacking them with a sand viper, in what way is a sand viper going to achieve the goal of obtaining Aladdin? I ask because up until now Sadira’s main goal was to get with Aladdin (via a sand beast, the sands of time, and sand mesmerism). So what about being attacked fits into her usual schemes? Unless by the end, Aladdin sees Sadira as a magical menace in general?

[2] When they arrive at Sadira’s home and see the other Witches of the Sand, why didn’t anyone think they attacked them with the sand viper (thereby clearing Sadira of her “guilt”)?

[3] What does Aladdin mean by “She’s tried this before.” Tried what? Pretending to be their friend and attacking them?

[4] When Jasmine points out “how they might think you did it,” she’s not incorrect to say “because it was an evil sand spell.” She’s not saying Sadira is evil, but thus far, Sadira’s sand spells haven’t really been used with good intentions. So of course the group would associate sand magic with bad consequences.

[5] Sadira’s sand magic is inconsistent, or at least what she uses to implement it. In her first episode, she uses a magical amulet; this is destroyed. In her second episode, she uses the sands of time, and in her third episode, she uses...a spell of some kind. And in her fourth (and last) episode, she uses nothing except direction manipulation. I suppose the only consistent factor is the scrolls, except in the last one. 

I guess, I just wonder what is the limit of sand magic? How does it function? Is it controlled via spells or direct control? If Sadira became more competent, would she zap green lightning when she’s controlling sand?

[6] Why did Sadira shoving the Witches of the Sand into the Realm of Mists suddenly make her trustworthy? Was it because it showed that she wasn’t on the Witches’ side? Which she already told them and they should have realized that Sadira hadn’t attacked them.

spell jar for focused creativity

here is what you’ll need:

a jar! 

sand; for focus and organisation (use beach sand if possible, or at least very fine sand)

clear quartz point; for focus, energy and direction

citrine; for creativity and positivity

tiger’s eye; for motivation and concentration

dried rose petals; for inspiration and passion (could also use rosebuds)

how much of each thing you put in is going to depend on the size of your jar. you want it to be about half full of sand but not so much that you can’t easily see anything else. add half as many rose petals as there is sand. for the stones you can use one of each or lots of smaller crystals but whatever you use make sure you can see them amongst the sand and petals. combine the ingredients (?) in whatever order seems best to you (i like to say what each part is for as i add it). you can seal the jar if you want but it works very nicely if you can take the lid off and touch the things inside sometimes! keep it on your desk/creative space and when you need a creative boost this is where you’re gonna get it from. turn it over, shake it, get the stones out and feel them in your palm, watch how the light comes through the glass and reflects on the crystals. talk to the jar, hold it in your hands. this jar is like a little friend that can guide you in the right direction, but only if you pay it some attention once in a while!
