imma go on and on about the same scene but it’s just so WELL crafted. the whole scene aggravates and frustrates ning que, he knows he can’t lose sangsang bc he loves her and that his lifeline, his weakness, but he also doesn’t realise sangsangs own feelings for him and it frustrates him when she mentions marrying someone else bc he doesn’t want that he wants a lifetime with sangsang but he’s so balled up in complicated feelings and emotions and stress that he doesn’t realise it and his anger and sangsangs anger are both so well crafted ugh, i could rewatch this scene for days

it also allows him to start to realise the difference between like and love, he likes the bookworm maniac, he likes her however he loves sangsang, it’s likes the being of the a domino effect
