It’s concept art for the Pixar short Sanjay’s Super Team, directed by Sanjay Patel! It’s about an Indian-American kid who loves superhero cartoons, but is bored out of his mind by his father trying to get him engaged in meditation. The kid ends up daydreaming and imagining Hindu gods (Vishnu, Durga, and Hanuman) as superheroes, leading him to appreciating them just as much as he appreciates his favorite cartoons
It’s an insanely fun and beautiful short, and I’m so sad it premiered before THE GOOD DINOSAUR of all movies, bc tbh I loved the short more than the actual film itself 😭
A few years back I bought a copy of the accompanying art book for this short, and getting to read about all of the thought that went into the production process was SO cool AUGHHGHGUGH I could talk about it forever and ever
