I love God 💗
Take hold of what God has promised He will do. Believe it, and in that believing, the spirit flows.
John Piper
“For the shepherds have become dull-hearted, And have not sought the LORD; Therefore they shall not prosper, And all their flocks shall be scattered.”
-Jeremiah 10:21 NKJV
It is through Christ we prosper in fact, Ephesians 1:3 states “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who HAS blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,”, looks like we already got it all (we just need to believe)! Now I don’t know what “every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places” all entail’s but anything to do with blessing, heaven and Christ is good to me. I do plan on doing a study on this at some point, however the point I want to make is that because the people did not seek the Lord they were not prospering. Now just like Jeremiah you may be wondering “but Lord the wicked do prosper?” But is earthly prosperity anything compared to eternity in Christ? Ultimately those who put their trust in riches are going to come to ruin, but those who put their trust in Christ shall have eternal life with Him. I don’t think that means God won’t bless us with earthly means, it’s through these means (and spiritual ones) we bless others. I actually believe God WANTS us to prosper in ALL ways.. and we do so by seeking Him out.
Can we note that those who are not seeking the Lord are DULL-HEARTED. Like woah. This one hit me as I have my own struggles in seeking Him. Dull-hearted is not something I want to be.
He loves us far beyond what we could ever imagine...
Not So Quiet Time
Not So Quiet Time
James 1:21-25
Most Christians are taught early on to incorporate a devotional time into their day. This typically includes Scripture reading and prayer, both of which are essential for spiritual growth. But occasionally we should evaluate what effect this practice is having in us. In other words, we should ask, Is my quiet time accomplishing God’s purpose, or has it simply become a ritual I do…

Stop being angry! Turn from your rage! Do not lose your temper— it only leads to harm.
Psalms 37:8 (NLT)
Having hope will give you courage. You will be protected and will rest in safety.
Job 11:18 (NLT)
Therefore say to the house of Israel, ‘This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said: “Come back and turn yourselves back from YOUR dungy idols and turn YOUR faces back even from all YOUR detestable things; for any man at all from the house of Israel or from the alien residents that reside as aliens in Israel, that withdraws himself from following me and that brings up his dungy idols upon his heart and that sets the very stumbling block causing his error in front of his face and that actually comes to the prophet to make inquiry for himself by me, I, Jehovah, I am letting myself be brought to answer him by myself. And I must set my face against that man and place him for a sign and for proverbial sayings, and I must cut him off from the midst of my people; and YOU people will have to know that I am Jehovah.”’ ‘And as for the prophet, in case he gets fooled and actually speaks a word, I myself, Jehovah, have fooled that prophet; and I will stretch out my hand against him and annihilate him from the midst of my people Israel. And they will have to bear their error. The error of the inquirer will prove to be just the same as the error of the prophet, in order that those of the house of Israel may no more go wandering off from following me and may no more go defiling themselves with all their transgressions. And they must become my people and I myself shall become their God,’ is the utterance of the Sovereign Lord Jehovah.
