aphrodite | Αφροδιτη

these are some small devotional acts to bring yourself closer to Aphrodite, goddess of love and beauty

✩ use rose scented beauty products

✩ carry rose quartz with you

✩ drink some tea that you would associate with Her

      ↳ i use a rose and vanilla tea i bought, and i usually add some honey (love,            sweetness, romance, beauty), cinnamon (love, lust) and a little bit of                    black pepper (it’s a powerful attraction and protection ingredient and it                  actually tastes really good!)

✩ wear gold or rose gold jewelry

✩ wear a sweet smelling perfume

✩ spritz some perfume onto your hairbrush while brushing your hair

✩ use a rose incense stick/diffuser/candle

✩ meditate and try to meet Her

✩ write a letter to Her

✩ wear colors you would associate with Her

       ↳ I recommend...

          ↳ pinks and reds

          ↳ gold and rose gold

          ↳ white and purple

✩ honor Her on Fridays, they’re sacred to Her!

✩ help someone else with their relationship(s)

✩ give a compliment to a stranger

✩ try something you normally wouldn’t be confident enough to do

✩ eat a salad or an apple

     ↳ not with the intention of weight loss etc., I included this because lettuce is           actually one of Aphrodite’s sacred foods

✩ wear makeup if you usually don’t, or go bare faced if you usually do

✩ take care of your skin and your body

✩ play some love songs (i like the older songs better, but click here for my devotional playlist!)

✩ sing a song for her

✩ got a crush? shoot ya shot!

✩ sleep in

✩ if you can, go to the beach

✩ support local animal shelters/show strays some love

✩ eat some chocolate

✩ try a face mask

     ↳ ideally a rose themed/scented one, but a good diy one I like is honey,                   coffee, matcha, and a lil bit of cinnamon

✩ show some love to those you care about

✩ take and post pictures that make you feel confident

✩ if you wear makeup, enchant it! i recommend...

     ↳ lipstick - persuasion / attraction / love

     ↳ mascara - captivating eyes

     ↳ eyeshadow - commanding attention / attraction / love

     ↳ highlighter - attract love and attention

     ↳ blush - attracting romantic / sweet love

✩  find solitary hobbies you enjoy

✩ make art! doesn’t need to be Aphrodite-themed, but it can be

✩ write poetry! again, doesn’t have to be Aphrodite or love-themed

✩ treat yourself!

✩ have a self-care day

✩ work on loving yourself

✩ work on not caring what others think

✩ do some witchcraft you associate with Her

✩ research Her epithets

✩ read some of Her myths

Know how to deal with or help someone experiencing dysphoria

Hold people accountable of their actions, regardless of sex or gender

Practice doing makeup and planning outfits that work for your body & facial type (not your sex) 

Compliment strangers on their appearance 

Shop on both sides of the clothing store; forget the labels 

Don't judge others based solely on their looks 

Work on balancing your feminine and masculine energy 

Make an effort to ask & use others preferred pronouns 

Learn to say "No"  

Don't put yourself down for not being physically perfect; Hermaphroditus understands & thinks you're awesome

Small devotional acts.

Care for a pet fish

Make your screensaver an ocean scene

Go swimming

Wear colors, patterns, and flowy clothes that look like the sea

Listen to ocean sounds

Collect seashells

Drink floral/herbal teas

Go horseback riding

Use more sea salt in cooking

Learn about marine life – especially crabs, lobsters and dolphins!

Color sea-related pictures

Give salt/ocean water as a libation

Use a water diffuser

Use temporary dye/hair chalk to color your hair like the sea

Incorporate seashell, dolphin, rope and ocean designs into your life

Burn ocean-scented incense or candles

Wear seashell or opal jewelry

Make a mini sand garden

Stand outside at dawn when everything is misty, or during the beginning of a storm

Learn some new knots or macramé

Visit an aquarium

Wear scents that remind you of the ocean

Grow white flowers like jasmine or orchids

Visit a river or stream and imagine the waters flowing back to the sea.

Visit a natural body of water

Drink more ice water

Braid your hair, if possible

Visit the ocean! Or a beach at the very least!

Invest the time to fully prepare for your next test

Take the leap, try something new

Make cordage and wear it as jewelry (anklet, bracelet, necklace)

Keep a jar of the coins you find in random places

Do something that strengthens your body

Practice your cursive

Watch the Olympics

Burn sandalwood or rose incense*

Gold everything

Do little things to be more prepared (carry some band aids, replace your shoelaces, etc.)

Drink some tea/take some vitamins that help strengthen your immune system

Try a new sport***

Take pride in small victories like getting all your homework done or finishing the laundry**

Write little things you’re proud of having done on bay leaves n put em in a jar**

Compliment someone one something they did rather than superficial things**

Push yourself, but recognize when your mind and body need to stop**

Write a message to one of your personal heroes, even if you never send it to them**

Check in on someone you think is strong or a friend who takes on the mom friend role**

Take a bath with Epsom salts and essential oils – take care of your body

Never doubt your abilities
