hey @edderkopper look at my new coloring book!
Hello, good followers!
I have become a Devotee and Godspouse of Fairge, an abyssal fae-king. Although unrecorded, they are connected to Scotland, including Orkney and the Hebrides. Their domain(s) include the sea, sleep and dreams, as well as fae-king related things.
I still plan to have topics of spiritworking and godspousery, as well as norse things, but given the exciting news, I will definitely be including a lot of devotional content.
If you don’t want to see this, I’m being careful to tag my stuff. But, if you don’t want to see this... then my new content might not be up your alley. I’m enthralled and in love with my Rìgh-Sithe and I’m going to share that a lot.
So... I guess I shall be researching sea deities now. I had a aha moment seeing someone else's post.
Feeling slightly foolish that Someone basically shouted "FISH!!!" in big letters across the sky and laid several dead fish in my path and somehow I missed the point almost entirely for days. I feel they may be amused, though.
Time for another photo dump!

To Choose To Drown
TW: concepts of drowning, self-harm, deep water, and probably bondage elements
The sea is choppy, breaking against me as I swim out into deeper waters. I can no longer see the shore — could I ever? The water is cold, rough, unyielding. Nothing like the beaches of my distant memories, nothing like a brief vacation to tropical sands. This water is born from open seas, from the thunder-crashes on…

question for people with sea problems
Would any of y’all be willing to talk -- in the tags or reblogs or privately or whatever -- about Who your problems relate to and how They show/ed up and maybe interact? Particularly if your Sea Problems mostly go with masc-of-center expression? (@edderkopper @strange-lights-and-stardust also at anyone else who feels like jumping in, I am tired and not good at remembering names at the best of times)
Context: I am still getting Sea Problems but am not having a whole lot of luck figuring out the Who. Things I know so far:
masc of center
broad/tall/sturdy
overwhelmingly coastal and near-coast imagery -- some open-ocean stuff but mostly within eyesight of shore
seabirds, waves, caves, inlets, tides, sometimes storms and/or wind, seals, sometimes cetaceans, more seabirds, not much that lives below the mesopelagic zone
familiar with Loki, Odin, and Freyr (first two could be Anyone, as much as the Two-Man Con get around, but I feel like being familiar with all three maaaaybe implies Someone with some proximity to the Norse bunch? from a neighboring pantheon if not Norse Themself?)
doesn’t seem to be particularly wild or violent; seems actually to be pretty chill -- if I met this dude in person I would assume habitual meditation, habitual weed, or both
I keep thinking maybe Njord? But I’ve floated that past the Others a few times and gotten basically an amused Not telling! every time, so I don’t want to assume, y’know?
