aftermath angst meme / accepting !

It felt like a dream. As if she was floating somewhere in oblivion. That the voice that was speaking to her wasn’t really there. Something had lured her to the harbor, and she was only aware that she had been in the midst of killing herself before it was too late.

She remembered screaming. How the water had filled her lungs and filled her pit with dread; how quickly it had turned dark. Words of encouragement were the first thing she heard, before feeling lips pressed against hers and hands pressing heavily against her chest. It was CPR. That’s what they were doing.

A few more puffs of air and another push to her chest did it for her, causing Melanie to get up on her side to violently cough the remains of water out that had been trapped within her. Droplets of water were clinging to her face, eyes wide as she looked up at her rescuer.

“Sean?” she uttered, feeling herself starting to shiver. Her body was too cold to feel anything, her senses numb to everything. Yet, there was something she had recalled when taking CPR. “You need— you need to get me to the hospital. You might have broken a rib.” Even if she wasn’t sure of it, this was her being practical even in her most dire situation.

“Aw, you have feelings for me? Cute.” Blaise knew what he meant, but she obviously wasn’t going to let that stop her from teasing him a little. Pursing her lips slightly, it grew into a rather sultry smile as she considered what he had just said, both of her eyebrows quirking up suggestively. “Isn’t that just another way of saying that you have a fear boner for me?”

“is that a complaint i hear, dulany?” it’s not out of allison’s comfort zone to speak her mind about what, or who, she wants. she’s a very strong headed girl who doesn’t let her image in society’s eyes, tarnish who she is in her own. some seem to enjoy the fact that she’s outgoing and well spoken, whereas others would remark such a comment, like sean’s, except they would mean it. it’s taken a lot to get to the point where she doesn’t care. 

her head tilts a little to the side, doe hues seeming to sparkle with mischief. “i thought you liked how bold i was,” she hums, a faint smirk touching her lips.

who started liking the other first? oohhh. I think secretly Tyler.

who’s behind the wheel more often during road trips? Tyler!

who sets up the tent and who gathers firewood during a camping trip? HAHAH Tyler. Unless a comment is made questioning her strength. Then Caroline would do it all to prove how badass she is.

who hooks bait during a fishing trip? Tyler who catches more fish? Caroline, much to Tyler’s dismay.

who insists on learning how to ballroom dance? Caroline

who goes all out on the other’s birthday? Caroline!

who teases the other for said singing? Both. Then Caroline gets butthurt about it.

“---Are you here to tell me that I should’ve been sorted in Hufflepuff too, sir?” 

There’s nothing wrong with being a Hufflepuff. Udyati knew people in Hufflepuff. Friends, even. Yes, Rohini Persaud was two years older than she was, but she wore the black and yellow with pride. And then there was her other friend, Urmila Reijners, one year older than she was, and a Ravenclaw through and through. 

“’Cause if you are, please don’t bother. I’m happy where I am, sir.”

Udyati wrung her hands together, a nervous habit that she hadn’t quite managed to kick to the curb yet. Briefly, she canted her head. “Or are you here because the professors are getting tired of me, very gently, and very respectfully, pointing out that there are other types of magic out there, too.” 

Like wandless magic! Rohini could do wandless magic! And Urmila’s family carried magic in their blood, able to put anyone to sleep with just a touch. Compared to them, Udyati was woefully average. 

All she could do was apparate and disapparate. Or rather, she would be able to do so, after she got her permit. Which was lightyears away. Or so she felt.
