Announcing New Bleach Imagines Event:

This is a collab event that sprung from @seireiteisins Bleach discord! Everyone can thank Mia and Tati (the first two blogs linked below) for putting in the leg work and making this event happen! ❤️

@seireiteisins @thoti-thots @mindinmuken @chire-senbonimagines and I will be posting pieces based off Summer prompts + Bleach characters we threw into random dot org. Too bad chaos doesn’t start with an S or I would’ve threw it in the title. 😌

I will have our character lists below! The prompts will stay a spicy (or sweet) secret until the piece has been posted.

Not everyone has decided which pieces they want fluff/smut so that may be unlisted (TBA = To Be Announced). These lists are also in alphabetical order, not in post order.

All pieces will be linked below after they’ve been posted! I will also be adding a link to this post on my pinned directory so it’s easier to check back to.

hello there!! decided to reach out and ask for some shinji headcannons with his kids? i know deep in my soul they would clown him

lemme tell you he stole my heart so roughly that i could just stand and stare blankly

(fun fact: I had a crush on him *years* ago when I was heavily into Bleach; kinda around the same time when Aizen got defeated in the manga. I come back to it in 2018 and I’m hit in the heart by a truck with the feelings for him. like dammmn)

y’all already know that Shinji would still very much be in touch with trends going on in the world of the living.

I mean, you know he’d miss some stuff from living there

So you can bet yer ass that his kids would end up knowing all sorts of stuff and even owning shit from it

He’s not super strict, so he usually is willing to get them something if they ask

That… uh… can turn out to be bad, though.

First off, no matter how close he is with his kids, they will ABSOLUTELY PRETEND THEY DON’T KNOW HIM IN PUBLIC

“Who’s your dad?”

“He’s dead dw about it.” WHILE PURPOSELY DRAWING ATTENTION IN ANY DIRECTION SHINJI’S NOT IN

They’ll eventually admit who their dad is if they have friends coming over a lot, but typically still pretend he isn’t related to them.

“Oooohhhh? One of my darling children brought a friend home?~”

“Who are you again? Mooooommmm!! There’s a weirdo in the house!!!”

Heart break, but just to be dramatic. Y’know how he is.

So, despite what one might think, he can actually keep up with ALL the latest things. Let’s just say, one of them said ‘ok boomer’ when they were annoyed with him.

His response? “Stop killing industries, millennial”

They also lost their shit when he retorted with ok boomer.

Shinji was all over vine and actually p popular, WHICH KILLED HIS KIDS

HOW WERE THEY SUPPOSED TO MAKE THEIR OWN CONTENT WHEN HE USUALLY HAD THEM IN THE BACKGROUND

LIKE STOP KILLING MY LACK OF INTERNET FAME

I HAVEN’T EVEN STARTED YET

He sends them memes and they can’t help but snicker despite themselves.

He’s also super embarrassing in that he’ll call them and say super sappy stuff or go up to them in public and yell obnoxiously OH LOOK AT MY WONDERFUL KIDS I LOVE THEM SO MUCH

He sends pictures or screen caps of things and says ‘it u’. It’s either a meme or something wholesome. There’s absolutely nothing in between.

i dunno, that’s what my brain came up with.

Thank you for being so patient, angel! This is my first commission posted now that I think it’s good enough lmaooo. I know this is going to throw you for a bit of a loop but hear me out—I’m right no matter what and Renji is your new King 😌

YOU’VE MATCHED WITH: RENJI ABARAI

Because of your inclination toward silence in unfamiliar company, it starts slow. He sees you in the peripheral sometimes but only catches you silent and attentive or rushing to finish work.

But, then you two get caught alone, jockeying for the same number of Hell Butterflies for your respective squads. One of his subordinates is fetching more so they’ll have enough for your order too.

Your first instinct is to flee, but you REALLY need the butterflies today. So to ease the tension bubbling in your chest, you crack a shitty joke. Half stunned and half genuinely amused, he barks with laughter and goads you for a few more. Did you just....make a pun about Captain Byakuya? Are you pinpointing his exact flavor of humor on the first try? Could your smile be any cuter? His life has been rocked. It might be the closest thing to love at first sight he’s ever experienced.

Renji starts seeking you out. He tries to be subtle—tries as well as he can—but he gets impatient and it feels less like pining and more like a game. Which feels gross. So he asks you out directly after a few awkward ‘coincidental’ hallway run ins, hoping for more jokes and less silent staring at him.

While he boils, you simmer on the surface. But Renji is persistent enough to dig under the hard protective film you’ve grown accustom to wearing. He takes your self deprecation in stride and learns where to lean in to the joke and where to disagree and reassure.

The work you make him put in to prove that he’s sincere in his interest and growing care for you is something he doesn’t even blink at. This man has been working for the approval and respect of other his whole life. He understands the need to guard yourself, as well.

So when you turn him down, but silently expect him to keep vying for your affection by bumping into you in hallways and roads between your respective divisions, he doesn’t disappoint. He’s a dog howling at the moon and he’ll keep singing until he can reach out and touch it.

Of course, everyone has their limit. It’s your apprehension to put a label on what he is to you, after numerous dates and giddy make out sessions, that pulls him to confront you in a real way. Renji isn’t some two bit asshole who’ll get bored of you or turn against you—he sees that person you are when you think everyone’s back is turned, the one who cares about the people you love and wants to spread joy and protect people from pain.

He sees you and he relates to your fear of being abandoned, of not being seen as good enough, and he loves all of you. He says it too, that he loves all of you, that you make him feel like a dirty rukongai rat running with something precious in his hands. That he wants to guard you and be adored by you in turn.

It’s a hard conversion that doesn’t happen at all once. Being vulnerable like that is tough and neither of you want to walk away feeling rejected or misunderstood. And, honestly, Renji is a great guy to learn to open up with. He is always striving to meet your point of view even if he gets frustrated, even if he feels he’ll never get there—Renji doesn’t give up. And your faux abusive style of affection and flirtation isn’t something he’s sensitive to either—it feels natural considering his rough life.

Renji also gushes to his friends ALL the time about you and is invested in you getting along with them. He wants to meet yours and is nervous when he does. To him, friends are the family you’ve chosen and the only ones he’s ever known. Renji likens it to meeting the parents, really.

Accompanying his deep rooted patience compatible with your slow to warm nature, he’s a true domestic God. Renji grew up having to fend for himself and therefore has had to learn as many life skills necessary to see him fed, clothed, and sheltered. He can sew your uniform when torn, cook up a daily bento for your lunch, or take care of repairs around the house—also looks fantastic in nothing but an apron. Renji also loves you so much he’ll pretend Alfredo every night is a delight. And insist on being your sous chef. You can be completely useless at making a good roux for your sauce together since he doesn’t know American dishes and you’re likely to burn the kitchen down on a good day.

Now, his inclination toward being touchy might cause friction at first when it comes to PDA. It’ll take some compromise on both sides. Renji can funnel his urges to lift you into tight bear hugs and give you a peck on the cheek in public into more platonic gestures. For example, ruffling your hair or squeezing your shoulder, but he would have a rough time adjusting to only linking arms. Plus you’re super cute when you kick at him and tell him to be less of a pervert in public when he tries something as tame as hugging you to his side.

Also, you’re really changing this mans’s life when you introduce him to video games. He couldn’t even afford a card deck growing up, so he looks like you just handed him a fat stack of money when you offer to teach him. He’s trash at moving the camera around with the controller, but his aim in FPS games aren’t bad. He is convinced, no matter what you say, that moving his controller in different directions helps him move faster and aim with more accuracy.

You also do the most chaotic thing known to man and introduce him to memes. You’re laughing until he orders custom Guy Fieri sunglasses and you’re forced to be seen in public with him. He starts taunting his captain with vine quotes and internet lingo, which makes up for it (at least a little bit).

You’re both rough edges covering kind souls. Both quick to get loud and excited or silent and serious. You both yearn for true acceptance and love. And not only does he knows the best tattoo place in the Seireitei when you go for your first one, but he’d also rather adopt kids from the rukongai than immediately expect you to grow a family.

yessss I am so thrilled to write for Lisa! And I’m happy to see other Bleach blogs too.

She’s definitely the chillest girlfriend possible. Never any drama with her. She simply does not have time for it. She’d much rather just tell you if something is ever wrong and fix it.

She gives plenty of compliments, but she can be blunt to a fault. She’s bound to make you blush with just how direct her compliments can be.

Definitely prefers more casual dates. As a captain she definitely has the ability to clean up and be formal for a bit, but she finds casual dates much more enjoyable and doesn’t really see the point of all the formality. Why would you need all that when you two could have some bento together and have just as much fun?

Can be pretty physically affectionate, though maybe not in the suggestive way you might expect from her. She’s the kind of person who thinks actions show how she feels much better than words. Definitely the type to just casually make that contact with you, either with an arm draped over you or leaning against you.

Actually gives some really good advice when you’re feeling lost. Again, she can definitely be blunt, but sometimes that’s what you need when you have a problem. This is really her go-to solution when you’re feeling down, but if you just need some comfort instead, she’s perfectly fine just having some time together to get your mind off things.

While she’s never really a sappy person, she makes sure you know she cares in different ways. She may not really be writing love letters or anything, but you’ll always feel loved.
