What a great catch that Buck really was scared of what kind of a state he found Eddie in. He's been taking it for granted that Eddie is the more adult one of the two this entire time. Eddie is a solid fixture in Buck's life, his closest person who seems to have it all together.

I am now realizing when Eddie has been at his lowest over all these seasons, they have never let it be Buck who sees him and puts him back together. Buck has literally never seen Eddie crumble, only heard about it after the fact. The show has gone out of its way to delegate the lowpoints to Bobby and even Lena, a temporary character.

According to Buck himself, he dreams of the life Eddie has, wants his home and a child like Chris, looks up to Eddie's skills and values Eddie's life above his own. Eddie even handled a brush with death better than Buck did his own injury. The man can do no wrong in his eyes. It has probably not even occurred to Buck that Eddie could break inside, only be broken by an outside force like a bullet.

This is in response to something I mentioned in the the 513 clothes meta. I’m really glad it resonated with you! I do think Buck got to see one moment when Eddie lost control of his professional demeanor due to how emotionally upset he was, and that was in the grocery store in 305. More than that, it was Buck’s absence that made Eddie lose his cool! I still think about what that must have meant to Buck, who was so convinced that everyone can easily and happily move on from him, to see Eddie act so out of character because he couldn’t take Buck not being there. But you’re absolutely right that everything to do with Eddie’s lowest point, the street fighting, was done in front and resolved in the presence of others. So yes, this was absolutely the first time Buck saw Eddie completely fall apart. And maybe at some point they can talk about how even this was partly (much smaller part, but still) due to Eddie being without Buck. Maybe one day they can actually confront what this means... Or what it means when Eddie only allows himself to admit to his real fear in Buck’s presence, and can only begin to heal once they’re back to being a team, working together to take care of both Chris and Eddie. You know, like all platonic besties... ;p

if they do this they can seriously kiss goodbye to a large portion of gifmakers. monetising a social media site is already fairly questionable, but making it so we have to pay for a normal feature would be way too far

I don't know any spoilers but I think we all need to get ready that Eddie may be in the store to buy a suit for his upcoming wedding 😬 this show likes to move FAST with het relationships

oh i don't think there's any reason to worry about that, my friend, it seems HIGHLY unlikely. first of all, we barely know ana, she's not a developed character and so far the writers haven't taken enough interest in her (unlike taylor for example) to make us believe she's here to stay. second, they haven't taken any time to explore the eddieana relationship either (and they had a whole season to do it), as if they purposely wanted us to see it as superficial and bland (it's even pointed out by eddie himself when he describes their relationship as 'nice.'). there were several opportunities where they could've deepened the bond between eddie and ana, but the writers chose not to and instead focused on eddie's relationship with other people (mostly buck). not only that, but they explicitly made eddie question his relationship with ana. it's not what he wants, it's what he thinks christopher needs which ultimately won't be enough to sustain it and by the end of s4 it seems like he's come to terms with that bc why else would he tell buck about the guardianship after he'd begun to doubt his 'love' for ana? he sealed the deal by telling buck and there's no going back now. how do you explain to your potential future wife that she won't be your son's legal guardian, but your best friend will? if he saw a future with ana, he would've kept his mouth shut and eventually changed the will to make her the guardian and buck would've been none the wiser. but in his mind i think it's already settled that buck is irreplacable and that ana may not be what he truly wants. there's also the fact that eddie had already been married and it fell apart so badly that he's still traumatized. it would simply make no sense for him to jump into that again so soon, especially not with someone he still barely knows and doesn't truly love (it would be insanely ooc). the only way it would make sense is if they've spent a season or two properly developing the relationship, which, again, unlikely bc gabrielle walsh is not a regular on the show and the writers don't really seem to care about her :/

ofc, i can't be certain about any of this, but if there's a single braincell between these writers, then they'll tell this story right

p.s. maddie and chimney have been together for 3 whole seasons and they're still not married

p.p.s. i think if eddie was choosing a suit for his wedding, he would've chosen something more stylish than that third tier suit we see in the promo 😂

the ideal run time for a movie? 2+ hours is too much imo

Depends on the filmmakers honestly. I’ve seen movies that are expertly crafted that was 90 minutes long and some that went over 3 hours. For me personally, when I’m not trying to play catchup on stack of films, I’d love a  2 hour movie... maybe more depending on the subject matter.
