Hey, just to make clear, this graph shows the opposite of what you're saying. It shows absolutely no increase in average conservative support among young relative to older men, it shows them staying exactly stable.

This is indicative of a massive split in gendered politics and that young men haven't got the fucking message and that is a goddamn thing we ought to (and are). But conservatism among youth is not rising. It is falling among women and remaining stable among men.

I did not say that conservativism is rising among younger men, its very clearly stable across generations among males. It was the entire point of why I bothered to add to the post: whenever males get "discouraged" or "feel left behind" when an easy money career and a hot gf with a clear path to a house and kids fail to materialize before they're 30, they will bank hard right to beat women back in line and get the government to force women to birth them children and disenfranchise them from social life.

bc men will always, always, always perceive the problem to be that what they're entitled to has been taken away from them by libs and women and immigrants and whoever is the current scapegoat. it is very much a fundamental problem that made it possible for the two most qualified presidential candidates in history to be defeated by a reality star with countless felonies running on a christofascist platform.

the original post is also correct in that the "rise" is genZ males aging into political maturity instead of simply parroting what they felt socially acceptable to say to not get backlash from their own generation's female population or publicly humiliated online by older progressives that genZ girls were listening to.

this election genZ has started to catch onto how bleak their futures look and how unattainable the american dream of a McMansion complete with a car, dog, 2.5 kids and a wife who has the time to cater to their needs like its the 1950s really is for them. both girls and boys are being picked off by the church and "traditional values" content creators telling them that no no it's possible and they will tell you how.

this is not about a "message" that the poor boys simply didn't get so they voted confused. they are the ones sending you a message and it is "I don't care from who and how much I have to take to have what I consider to be owed to me."
