Sensitivity
These last few weeks were strange. Though the word "strange" wouldn't suffice to describe the familiarity I'm experiencing. It's more than the usual deja vus. It concerns the relation I have with the environment around me. I've never felt so connected to the world I'm living in. I can reason myself into thinking that everything that was happening around me were mere coincidence, but day by day it can no longer be considered as a "coincidence". It wouldn't be sensible of me to believe in the supernatural power of sensitivity. The more I think about certain things, the more vulnerable I am to it. And those things could feel my vulnerability. So I am as much as a slave to them as it is to me. Neither side wins. Only loses a part of itself to the other.
heart heavy
looking for evidence that love is a gift is a real kick in the gut because your mom left your dad who's now with a woman whose daughter has a father only on occasion and anyone you've loved has fallen short, or you fell short for them and it seems every time the world is condensing you into a pulp of the girl you used to be or could have been it is for "love," for the vulnerability that makes you sweet and real but that kills you with every soft sigh, every eyebrow furrow, every delivering of thought. weakness isn't starry anymore it's just viscous and caging and i need a way out
