Auctober Day 17 - Sensory Profile
we are an autistic system. we are sensory seekers and avoiders. - Honey
we are an autistic system. we are sensory seekers and avoiders. We are an polyfragmented system so it makes things much more complex. Some of us can't hand background noises, other alters need noise to work or go to sleep. Lots of us need visual sensory or audio input that we can control. we can be very hypersensitive to a lot of things. we are also hyposensitive to a lot of things. everyone even in our system don't have the same sensory needs.
What do you do for a kid who refuses to cut her nails because "they feel weird for a few days afterward"?
There are random sensory issues in my family, so I believe her, but it's getting out of hand.
