Lost Girls Setting Aesthetics (2/?) Setting: Milton's Market
Every Wednesday morning, the girls (usually Erica and Julie, but sometimes the others will come along) get up at the break of dawn and either walk or rollerblade to their favorite fresh food market, Milton's, to stock up on fruit & veg for the week. The market is owned by a lovely couple, Madge and Milton, and they always give the girls warm smiles (and sometimes, free samples!) when they come in. It's one of the girls' favorite places to go.
Setting Introduction ⇢ Dagwood
The combination of the six packs surrounding the pack hall. A territory separate from human civilization where all wolves reside.
Location
Oregon, inspired by Forest Park.
Population
The packs have varying populations of their own, Gemini being the largest and Faded Moon the smallest. The overall population is around 3,000.
Aesthetic
Bright eyes, crooked grins, freckles, the sun rising, full moons, fog, towering trees, the buzzing of bees, flickering fireflies, messy hair, bustling communities and quiet forests, unmade beds, loose ponytails, sunlight seeping through curtains, barefeet

Amnexia (historical-fantasy wip worldbuilding, pt. i)
✧ updated version (oct. 2018) ✧
This post is the first in a series about Amnexia, a country in western Europa on my alternate earth Terrus, and the setting of my wip The Lost Country.
geography & climate
Amnexia lies hidden within the western Pirineus mountains between Hispania and Francia (Terrus versions of Spain and France.) On our world, the Pyrenees sort of peter out as they approach the Bay of Biscay, but not so on Terrus - they are substantial enough to conceal a country. (I was inspired by Andorra, an actual country located in the eastern Pyrenees.)
Amnexia is very small, but not as small as Andorra. It’s about 1,300 km², the size of the city of Los Angeles, for reference. It lies in a valley, surrounded on all sides by mountains which reach, at certain points, over 2,000 m (6,500 ft.) in height. There are passes which allow year-round access into the country on foot or by horse and cart, though it is infinitely more difficult in winter.
Within Amnexia itself, the forested skirts of the mountains give way to pastures that roll through the valley, punctuated by trees and shrubs, and veined with creeks which swell seasonally from the snow melt. Amnexia receives a lot of precipitation, thanks to the moist air that blows in from the Atlantis Sea. Spring and fall tend to be quite wet, while winter always brings plenty of snow. Summer is short but lovely, and very, very green.
