season 1 Magnus was beautiful ans magnificent and gorgeous. removing magnus’s makeup thinf definitely took a little bit from his character tbh. Also, we’re all very used to seeing Magnus as the protector, the saviour of nephilim and the most powerful warlock and what not- but in SH, magnus’s vulnerable side was portrayed more which I absolutely loved.

also, whatever wrong SH did wrong with magnus’s character was redeemed when they made him THE FREAKING PRINCE OF HELL I MEAN- MAGNUS BANE ON A THRONE
