Something something, Johnny finds a cold, sick cat on a mission and he just can’t leave the tiny thing behind him, can he?? When they sit in the safehouse, all of the men pretend they aren’t absolutely enamoured with the little feline.
You, a cat shapeshifter, wakes up in your cat form, all warm and cozy in front of a little fireplace - confused how the fuck you got there or why the fuck four giant men in weird uniforms are obsessed with you. But they give you nice food and pets, so you won’t mind staying with them for a bit.
summary you are a shapeshifter, one night while enjoying the quiet of the woods, a bullet is shot at you, you now owe your life to a very confussed Eddie (2.8k)

a/n this is based on this ask,
Every time the night was as calm as this one you snuck out.
You found a way, an opened window, a cracked door and you were gone. There was something that let you feel more like yourself. No emotions to read, nothing to consider. Just the woods, darkness and calmness.
If it truly was just you, you didn’t feel the need to change. You let your hair flow freely, your own scent mixing with every other animal in the forest. You could just be one more, without overthinking everything you do, letting go of the thigh control you always needed to have on yourself.
You spent a while enjoying it.
The calmness.
The silence.
Until you froze.
You felt an overwhelming sense of nervousness, it made your chest tighten, your skin shiver. That thick smell of sweat and restrained breaths that drilled the quiet air.
Something was there. And they weren’t alone. You stood still, listening carefully to every single rattle and change in the air. You heard a twig snap under someone’s weight.
You needed to move.
And you needed to do so now.
Hopper had been right, they were here once again.
And they were looking for you.
Fast, something fast. Easy, it has to be easy. You begged with yourself as you quickly closed your eyes. You let the wave of pain take over, that ripping sensation that cracked your entire back. You feel as every bone snaps and twitches, replacing themselves through your body as you crumble down. You feel a familiar stabbing in your arms as your skin transforms itself. It’s no longer smooth, it’s not sprouting a thick coat of feathers. You can’t help but move them in short circular motions while you bite down your lip, choking a scream that threatened to come out, and in doing so reveal your exact location. You felt how the wings came out, your head hurting immediately as you started commanding their movement. Once you opened your eyes you find yourself starting to float mid air, your feet hanging above the musky floor. Your hands were now covered in grey feathers. You still have to learn how to control it. You can hear Hopper's voice remembering you to take a break, that there was no rush.
But you had to be quick now, you had no other option.
The trees that surrounded you were crowded together, the branches knitted tightly swallowing most of the moonlight. It was your safest bet.
You startled yourself with the hush your wings produced, hoping it wasn’t as loud as you heard it. But you know it was no use as soon as a wave of excitement invaded you. You knew you had to be incredibly still and quiet for them to not notice you.
It was no use.
Even if you stilled your breathing completely, you knew it was too late.
The rush of excitement and rage invaded you, with the usual shade of red that advised you it wasn’t your own feelings, but somebody else’s.
The only thing to do now was run.
You heard their screams, someone asking the others to keep up, someone pointing out exactly where they saw you, someone demanding the youngest sounding one to aim carefully.
You just kept advancing, tree to tree. Trying to go over them proved to be more complicated than you had anticipated. There was no clear clearing, no space for you to fit through without harming yourself. Leave no trail. Was the only thing you had on your brain. You blinked, feeling how your eyesight got sharper in the darkness. Get distance, change again. You prayed to a god you didn’t believe in for them to slow down.
You didn’t have the chance to.
It was sudden. The air cracked, and you heard the loud echo that confirmed a shot had been fired. You felt legitimately scared, it wasn’t just you that did so. You heard as hundreds of wings fled the scene, while your left wing stopped flowing.
The pain was unbearable.
You tried to stay afloat. You managed to somehow keep your rhythm, even if you felt slower, heavier, clumsier.
Thunder ripped through the trees once more. The left side of your ribs was agonizing. Your hand instinctively reached for the open wound, the warmth spilling from it, your hand was dyed with a deep burgundy colour you recognised immediately. The metallic smell was unrecognizable. You closed your eyes and hoped for the best.
Your body plummeted to the ground, your knees hitting asphalt first. The impact shocked you, you’d expected damp earth, wet dirt, something softer. With a bit of luck, you could use the last of your energy to shift again. Something small. Something hard to find.
Headlights blinded you.
Tires screamed. Metal groaned as the heavy van swerved, losing control in its attempt not to hit you. It was useless. The last thing you felt was a cold force against your injured back, knocking the air from your lungs and forcing your wings to vanish.
A broken sound tore from your throat as the world went white. Pain, sharp and splintering, blinded you as consciousness slipped through your fingers.
Eddie cursed every god he could remember.
Panic came first. He thought he’d hit some strange animal, or that a tree had fallen into the road. But he would recognize that tangled hair anywhere.
How was that possible?
What had just happened?
Then he heard them. Rushing footsteps, distant shouts.
“Got her!”
His blood ran cold.
Decision made, he slipped one arm around your waist, the other beneath your knees, and lifted you quickly. He needed to get you out of there.
That’s when he saw the blood.
He swallowed his panic, forcing himself to stay quiet.
“Stay with me,” he whispered, laying you carefully across the backseat of the van.
You recognise his voice, the sincerity, the need, the hopelessness that floated away from him made you softly smile. Maybe it was the adrenaline of the pain, maybe it was the warmness of his skin against yours.
“Joyce” You whispered with your last breath before closing your eyes.
-
Eddie started honking and making as much noise as possible as soon as the Byers home came into view. He carefully watched as he saw the lights turning on, the door opening at once and a very angry Joyce looking outside.
“What the hell do you think-” Joyce stopped mid sentence, once she saw your body laying on the backseat of Eddie’s van she had to hold her tears, shaking her arms before getting to work. “Shit” She closed the distance, softly caressing your forehead as she checked your temperature. “Jonathan’s inside, Jane should be sleeping, wake her up.” She stared at Eddie, who had panic in his eyes and wasn’t sure what he was witnessing. “Go, what are you waiting for? Go!” She ended up screaming.
Eddie had a hard time not wobbling through the corridors. Shock was the only thing keeping him going, the only thing he knew for certain was that his eyes felt itchy, and he needed to see you breathe once again. He banged on every door he encountered, his words barely leaving his lips before Jonathan, El and Will headed for the door. He helped Jonathan as best he could, holding your body and letting you rest on the sofa. El already had everything that was in the medicine cabinet on her arms. Will was with the walkie, screaming for help.
“Why was she outside?” Jonathan’s voice was higher than Eddie had ever heard.
Eddie was frozen in place, watching how Joyce crouched next to you investigating your wound with furrowed eyebrows.
“Jonathan get the vodka.” Joyce demanded with intention.
Eddie heard the fast steps, the rustling over in the kitchen. But he couldn’t move.
He just watched.
He watched as Joyce spilled some of the Russian drink on a cotton swipe, brought it to her nose. He watched as your eyes twitched, how your chest rose slowly again and how you mouthed a soft sorry without any sound.
“You need to try to remain calm.” Will advised to Eddie, his eyes couldn’t leave your body either. “She’ll get overwhelmed if we’re all worried.”
“What the fuck is going on?” Eddie finally spoke, his voice breaking as he uttered the words. “She fell from the sky, had wings.”
“You need to calm down.” Jonathan’s voice was more severe, like a soft warning. “We’ll explain later.”
The lights were too bright, your eyes hadn’t shifted yet. You looked at Joyce with a weak smile, and nodded as soon as you saw El. “Shot” You muttered as you tried to point at your back.
“Sorry” El whispered back before holding out her hand.
You couldn’t help it, the guttural scream that escaped from the back of your throat filled the small room you were in. It was almost as overwhelming as the pitiful looks you could already sense.
You felt something move inside you, something that your body hadn’t produced or changed. It burned. You smelled the smoke coming out of your back, you noticed the pool of blood getting bigger with each inch.
“Do it” You begged through gritted teeth.
You felt the concentration emanating from both helping hands. Joyce’s hands moved quickly over your ribs, cleaning the wound that was already closing. Jane’s movements made way until you felt the rip of your skin, heard the metallic clash of the bullet against the wooden floor.
“Thank you” You muttered.
“Your dad’s going to kill you” Joyce chuckled back, relief washing out of her, infecting every inch of your body.
“Not without a silver bullet.” Jonathan added, a cup of water already in his hand.
You looked at it with pure hatred, your blood covering it.
“Turn around, I’ll stitch you up.” Joyce pleaded with you, her hand on your warm forehead.
You shook your head, already feeling the usual drain that night like these left you with. “Sorry” You managed to whisper before closing her eyes again.
You stayed on your side while Joyce did what she could, holding your shirt up while she looked at the wound. The blackened wound was all the confirmation they needed.
It had been silver.
It had meant to kill you.
She cleaned you up, she stitched as best as she could. She ordered her kids to go back to their beds.
“That means you too, Munson.” She advised. “We’ll meet up tomorrow when it’s safe, we’ll explain everything then.”
“Fuck that.” Eddie answered, making his way to the small love-seat that was right next to the sofa where you laid. His hand already on your tangled hair. “I’m staying here. At least until she opens her eyes again. Also all of you are way too calm with this. She fell from the goddam sky, she had fucking wings. And that was what? A fucking Silver bullet?”
“She needs rest.” Joyce declared, with a solemn voice that only she could manage. “We all do.” She looked around to her kids, seeing as they retreated back to their bedrooms. “You can ask anything you want tomorrow. Not now”
Eddie nodded, trying to calm himself by fixating on the way your chest slowly raised with every breath you took.
He sat there, watching over you while the rest left.
Joyce pulled a blanket over you, gave one to him, knowing he won’t leave until you indeed opened your eyes.
-
Before you even opened your eyes, before you even dared to face reality the overwhelming sense of worry invaded you. It already made your head hurt. Even before you could start feeling the weight of your own body settling into your bones, you could already feel that knot in somebody else’s throat, the pressure between their eyebrows.
As soon as you moved your body, you felt the sense of worry intensifying, it was tiring.
“Relax” You whisper with your eyes still closed “I’m alive”
“Thank fuck” Eddie muttered, quickly leaving the uncomfortable seat he had spent the night in. It startled you, that it was Eddie’s voice, not Jonathan or even Will. “I can’t really relax”
You loudly exhaled, before speaking knowing it was going to come ruder than you wanted to. “”Grab some air” You resettled into the sofa, your eyes opening up slowly. “You feel too much”
“What the fuck is that supposed to mean?” The panic in his voice, the shift from worry to offended was quick, and it made you chuckle, the different colours that he was projecting made you grin.
“Goddamit” You mutter as you look at him straight into his eyes.
You heard the footsteps behind the door, the rushing and the hushing of the usual chorus of voices.
“You’re grounded” Hopper said as he crossed the door threshold, even if he sounded harsh, and concern was all over his face, the only thing he felt was relief. You knew. So you just nodded with a pleasant smile.
“Love you too” You muttered as he rustled your hair.
He gave a wary look to Eddie, who cleared his throat as he kept looking at how every single person entered with soft look in their eyes. It drove him mad.
Everybody found a place inside the small living room. Some sat on the floor, some stood, some just resignated and invaded spaces, like Dustin who sat on top of the coffee table, or Max who was reclining her weight on the window still.
There was the usual soft chatter, where everyone asked questions about your well-being without actually asking you any questions. They thought that it would overwhelm you less, granted, you were grateful for the effort, but the overwhelming sense of relief made you drowsy from time to time.
But Eddie’s eyes couldn’t leave yours. Eddie was still emanating that worry, that sense of unknown that drew you to him. You stole glances, knowing that if you stared too closely, you’d crack.
“Why’d you leave?” Hopper finally asked you. You couldn’t deflect, not when all of a sudden all eyes were on you.
“I had to.” You admitted, finally incorporating, stifling a grunt only Eddie seemed to catch. You sat on the couch, your back finally upright. “It was the perfect night.” You smiled, making your eyes shine brighter, trying to make everyone feel safer with your choice. “And I needed to know.”
“Needed to know what?” Eddie begged, his hand finding your knee.
“Was it worth it?” Steve asked at the same time. Your eyes found his, not ready yet to face Eddie and his overwhelming feeling of devotion and protection he radiated on this moment.
“Well, now we do actually know they’re here.” You nodded right as you blinked, your eyelashes grew just enough to appear softer. “And we know they want me.” You looked back at El, for just an instant. “And that they’re dumb enough to go outside unprotected.”
“Like you did?” Dustin tried to argue.
“He has a point.” Robin added while she exhaled.
“I’m sorry?” Eddie let out a strained chuckle, clearly not following — confused and seconds away from losing it. “Who’s here? Who are they? What the actual fuck happened last night? Why did you have wings on your back? And why don’t you have any bruises? Also, did your eyes just fucking change again?”
It all came out in one breath. His gaze swept across everyone in the room. Every single one of them avoided him.
“Calm-” Nancy started, her demand unfinished.
“I swear to God, Wheeler, if you tell me to calm down too, I’ll lose it.”
Your hand pressed to your temple as he spoke.
“But you do have to calm down,” you said softly, finally meeting his eyes. “You feel too loud.”
“What the fuck does that mean?”
The mix of emotions flooding off him was blinding. Your eyes flinched.
“She can feel what you feel,” Nancy tried again. “So if you get too agitated, or worry too much…”
“She’s like a mirror,” Robin added, trying to help.
“But she’s also like a druid,” Lucas said.
“Again with the druid,” Mike argued. “It’s more like a doppelganger. She’s never a full animal like a druid would be.”
“If we’re being technical, she’s closer to an Eberron shifter,” Dustin corrected.
“What, like-”
“D&D” Will finished.
“Have you all finished explaining me for me?” you cut in, pushing yourself to your feet. “I can control the small things, like eyes, hair, weight, height, whatever. But the bigger shifts? They hurt. I just… ask my body for what I need and deal with it later.”
“So yesterday… the wings?” Eddie asked quietly, glancing at your back.
“I needed a quick way out,” you shrugged. “That’s what it gave me.”
“And you can feel…?”
The realization hit him all at once. If you could feel emotions,if you could sense what he felt, did you already know?
“Yeah,” you admitted, cheeks warming despite yourself. “We should talk later.”
Eddie went very, very quiet.
“So?” Max asked, eyes narrowing. “What’s the plan?”
You didn’t hesitate.
“We’re going hunting.”

"Spouse" Reader: Honey, I want to change myself for the better. For us. I've been on the phone with a therapist and I'm taking you out to your favorite restaurant this evening.
Yan: Darling...
-
Shapeshifter Reader: I... I'm sorry for deceiving you.... For once, I just wanted to know what it's like to be accepted by a human.. I stole your beloved's face.... I am a monster
Yan: I know.
Shapeshifter Reader: You...know?
Yan: Soon as the word "therapist" left your mouth I knew you weren't them. I honestly planned on murdering them when they returned from that 'business trip', but then you came along and I fell in love for real this time.
Shapeshifter Reader: Ah....
Yan: Also, humans don't usually purr when we're excited-
May I request Bender with a shapeshifter reader who does robot repairs? Love all your work btw
Awww thank you sweetheart 🥰 this is a fun idea too hehe~
Warnings: some suggestive comments
Bender x Shapeshifter!Bot Repairer!Reader
Bender is really snippy with you when you first meet, more demanding than the average robot. This customer doesn’t waste time with pleasantries, simply tells you what he needs done and asks that you do it practically on the spot. Naturally, you tell him he has to wait his turn like everyone else, he’s not the Queen of Robo-England.
He huffs and crosses back to your waiting seats. Glancing up from the circuit you’re soldering, you catch him trying to steal one of your tubs of polish and smack his hand with the one not holding heated iron, only for that bravado to completely fade as he whines an overdramatic ‘owww!’.
“Baby,” you tease, smirking and picking your wrench back up, “I could have made my hand three times that size.”
“Baby?” You hear him repeat under his breath, not knowing it was his catchphrase although you meant it in a very different way. “Made your…”. He gasps. “Are you a shapeshifter?”
“What do you think?” You asked, humanoid form rippling away, shrinking and lowering until you looked like a talking cat.
“If you can take any shape, why don’t you go peak performance and turn into a robot?”
“Our shifting only works with organic materials,” you remind him, growing and resuming your position on your hind legs, face so close to his your forehead is practically resting against the cool metal, “I can’t exactly turn my DNA into wire and steel. I like to think that actually makes me better at playing with them.”
“I’ll be the judge of that. By the way, I’m Bender, baby.”
You rolled your eyes, but you knew you brought it on yourself and were far less than mad about it. Telling him your name, you patted the workbench in front of you, PCB long forgotten. He climbed up on there and yanked open his cavity door, jolting when you connected him to your diagnostic port. You told him to stay still, he told you to bite his shiny metal ass, he immediately rescinded that when you gave him a reboot so good he saw stars, and the rest was history.
☆ Even in the early days of your relationship, Bender is always asking you to change into this or that for his amusement. The only reason you put up with the demands is how hard he giggles about it, which in turn makes you laugh.
☆ As is always the case, when you become official Bender loves to show you off, but he has the added benefit of boasting about your relationship and skills all at once. “The only one who gets to put their hands on my processor like that is my baby~” “You losers have to go to the doctor but I’ve got the best mechanic at my beck and call, isn’t that right?” Had it not been for the love and pride dripping from the way he adds your name, you’d be giving him another little smack love tap instead of just teasingly telling him that’s right, his repairs are free unless he really pisses you off.
☆ Another favorite boon of your ability to your beloved bot is when you take a form small enough to curl up inside his cavity. Bender will open it up to show everyone how cute you look in there and woe to anyone who talks even remotely too loud if you fall asleep in there.
☆ Probably tries to convince you to add whatever modifications suit his whims on a given day, making sure to include requests for things that would, ahem, benefit you too.
☆ “Quick, turn into something big, I need to hide!” That phrase has become very common in your life of late.
☆ You’re one of the few people who can tolerate Bender’s cooking since you can literally transform your body into that of a species that tolerates whatever he metaphorically throws at you!
☆ Bender finds himself loosing up and gushing about how much he loves you when you work your magic, the tricks and tune-ups you’ve learned over the years his equivalent of a massage that has him turning to gallium beneath your practical yet gentle hands. You may catch him all but purring. Point it out, though, and he’ll deny it.
☆ “I say kill all humans, but you aren’t a human and that’s why you get to stay!”
☆ Gets so jealous when you’re repairing other robots he’ll be in your lap demanding extra love as payment whenever he sees you at work 😘
☆ You and Bender practically have skill-offs when people need things, you hurriedly shifting taller and taller as your boyfriend extends his arms or legs, trying to bump you so he can beat you to it. For once, he suddenly wants to help people when it’s a contest…and secretly he wants to impress you too! You’re so amazing, he can’t help trying to find something he can provide for you when it already seems like you can do it all!
This fanfic ideas been stuck in my head for days now. Just imagine a reader who looks like a dolls- ball joints and the mechanical soft clicks for blinks- everyone knows they are a shapeshifter- but was she human? No one knew- because her shapeshifting ability is a power any mob would love to have control over so she hid her civilian identity well… so well she and Coupé met in a library and reached for the same book- yet Coupé didn’t realize it was the reader… because the doll joints were gone… but the presence seemed… comforting to her…

¡Hi! What do you think about a DD story of Sanemi x female reader where the reader has powers to change shapes? Like she transforms into anything or a monster?
Summary: Sanemi is sent to find a missing guild member and take down a dangerous beast. Well, he found them both.
Sanemi was staring at the guild's board, looking for a job that could offer him a challenge and quench his thirst for some action.
The young man frowned as it looked like there were only some minor quests, such as collecting some herbs or helping some farmers, but there was nothing that could make his heart beat with excitement.
"Shit, do I really have to stoop low enough to gather some herbs?" He growled quietly by himself when suddenly a guild lady who was responsible for keeping up with the jobs and such approached him and pinned a new job on the board.
"Oi, give me that!" Sanemi snapped as he quickly grabbed the flier and looked at it.
'Dangerous Beast Detected In Shady Forest' it read and as Sanemi looked at the quick sketch of the monster, he could feel himself getting excited.
"Ah, I see you're interested?" The guild lady nodded, and Sanemi grinned, "Hell yes I am!"
"Are you sure?"
"Why wouldn't I be?"
"The amount of money you get from this job isn't as big as you may have gotten used to...?"
"I don't give a shit about money," Sanemi scoffed and the lady smiled, "That's good because this job is very urgent."
"Why so?"
"A new member of Slayers went missing around that area a couple of days ago, just before the beast was detected."
So there was someone, one of the Slayers, out there in danger? They might as well be mincemeat already, but if Sanemi had a chance to rescue them then he would take that chance.
"So it's in the Shady Forest?"
"That is right."
"Great, I'm heading out then!" Sanemi waved as he turned his back to the guild lady and left the Slayer's base. He looked at the drawing again before tucking the piece of paper into his pocket.
Shady Forest wasn't that far from the city, but it was famous for harboring some fierce and sometimes mysterious monsters. It took Sanemi a couple hours to make it there on foot, and not a moment later.
The Shady Forest was worthy of its name. As soon as you stepped inside, you were swallowed by shadows as the sun couldn't breach the thick leafage above. There was just enough light that one could see, just like on a very cloudy day, only this one never cleared up.
Sanemi frowned as he looked around, trying to locate the missing Slayer or the monster, but the forest was as eerie as it was rumored to be.
"Where the fuck could they be...?" He grumbled quietly after an hour of searching and looking around... But then he noticed something gleaming under the leaves and he bent down to investigate.
There was a book on the ground? Sanemi frowned as he picked up the book and flipped it open. It looked old and well-read, but what caught his attention were the claw marks on the cover.
"Shit, this must have belonged to that newbie...!"
Sanemi was mad. Sure, he wanted some excitement, but he also wanted to save the newbie. Maybe they were still alive? There was no blood around the area where he found the book so changes were that its owner might still be alive and kicking.
"Grrr....!"
Sanemi immediately jumped back and pulled out his twin blades that were blessed by Wind, as a huge creature stepped out of the bushes and showed itself to the young man.
A Ramphera, a huge feline monster black as night, with huge curved ram's horns and claws so sharp they can cut through steel.
"No way...! A Ramphera...!" Sanemi's eyes widened as he stared at the monster and he grinned almost manically, "No way, this is way too good to be true...!"
It really was, he was burning to fight and slay this monster. Experience had taught him that the first one attacking usually got the upper hand so he bounced at the monster, twin blades drawn and he brought them down-!
The Ramphera growled as it bounced sideways, but Sanemi was quick as the wind and quickly changed his attack route and brought his blades down, cutting the beast's front leg and being the first one to draw blood.
"Tch, come at me!" Sanemi shouted as he flicked his bloody blade. The beast growled and the young man prepared himself for one of the famous headbutts...
But instead of bouncing at him with its huge horns, the Ramphera just prowled around him, alerted now that blood was drawn.
Fine by Sanemi, he would go at it if the monster wouldn't, but just as he was about to attack, the Ramphera turned around and took off running.
"Oi, wait up, I'm not done with you yet!" The young man snapped as he quickly ran after the beast, but as he ran he realized that something was wrong.
These felines were known for being fierce and aggressive so what the fuck was this one doing? Why would it just appear and run off without even attempting to kill the young man?
Sanemi frowned. Something was wrong and he was going to find out what.
He followed the monster all the way to a cave and he figured that it must have been its nest. That's when he had an idea. That beast's cave was most likely the place where he could find the missing Slayer, taken if they were alive.
"Oi!" Sanemi snapped as he looked inside the dark cave and he frowned, but just as he was about to shout out again, he heard a voice.
"G- Go away!"
So there was a survivor there! But why were they refusing his help?
He knew that going into the beast's cave without any source of light, fire, or light magic, but there was a person there!
"I'm coming in!" Sanemi warned as he entered the cave. It was too dark for him to see but suddenly it got brighter and he realized there was a small source of light deep inside the cave.
The young man ground his teeth as he approached the light and finally, he saw a young woman hunched over a small ball of light that was no doubt made with magic. It was you.
"Oi, are you the missing Slayer?" Sanemi asked as he approached the woman cautiously. The Ramphera might have been close by and as much as he wanted to hunt the beast, saving human life came first.
"It's dangerous here, so we gotta get out-!" He was saying but you smacked his hand away, "Go away!"
"Are you stupid!?" Sanemi snapped as he reached forward and forcefully grabbed your wrist, "Get up and-!"
"Ouch!" You cried out and the man's eyes widened as he let go of your hand and he looked down, realizing that his palm was soaked in blood.
"What the-!?" He looked at you, worried that Ramphera had gotten you, but then he watched eyes wide as you turned shape and suddenly there was the Ramphera before him and not a human woman.
"Shit...!" He reached for his blades, but then he noticed the beast's bleeding front leg and he connected the spots, realizing what was happening.
"Fuck..." Sanemi growled, "You're a shapeshifter, right?"
The beast growled and despite the obvious danger before him, the young man raised his twin blades and showed them to the beast before dropping them on the ground.
"Look, I'm unarmed," He frowned as he kicked his blades towards the Ramphera, "So don't maul me or something."
The creature stared at the blades and the young man... Until, finally, it hung its head in submission. Sanemi sighed as he lowered his arms, an action that made the beast flinch and he frowned, "I'm not hurting you, I'm just getting my blades...!"
The Ramphera watched him carefully as he picked his blades and put them away, and once the weapons were in their holsters, the beast relaxed notably.
"Now, turn back to human," Sanemi ordered and the feline hung its head even lower and the man frowned, "What the Hell, turn back!"
The beast made a pathetic sound from the back of its throat. The young man frowned as he waited, tapping his leg against the ground, but nothing.
"Hurry up, or else-!" He was saying when a stupid idea popped into his mind, "Don't tell me...? You don't know how to turn back?"
The Ramphera let out a sad noise and Sanemi slammed his palm over his face. Of course, just his luck.
"Great, just fucking great...!" He cursed under his breath and then sighed as he reached for his bag for some medical supplies he always carried with him.
"Give me your leg," The young man ordered as he offered his hand to the beast, who quietly did as told and Sanemi pressed the disinfectant pad against the wound-!
The Ramphera let out a loud squeak that didn't fit the beast, but it certainly fit the young woman it turned into.
"It hurts!" You cried out as you tried to pull your arm free, but the young man's hold on you was strong like steel.
"Quit whining, you're a Slayer!" Sanemi snapped as he pressed the pad harder against your wound, trying his best to clean it before he would bandage it.
He quickly added, "You are a Slayer, aren't you?"
"Yes...?" You whimpered pitifully as the man pulled the bloody pad away, took out some gauze, and started to wrap it around your wound.
"Are you the one that went missing?"
"Missing?" You tilted your head, "But I've been here the whole time?"
"That counts, dummy!" Sanemi snapped as he finished tying your wound, "There, good as new."
"Will... Will it leave a scar? You asked as you looked at your bandaged arm from different points of light.
"What if it does?" The young man rolled his eyes, "Just use some healing magic if you don't want a reminder of our meeting."
"But I don't know any healing magic?" You frowned and he shot you a glare, "You gotta know some magic, don't you!?"
"But I don't!"
"Then what the fuck is this light!?" Sanemi snapped as he pointed at the small shiny ball of magic floating next to you guys, "Or what do you call this as!?"
"It's a nightlight!" You protested, "Everyone knows that much magic that they can create a nightlight!"
"Tch!" He didn't know even that much, "What about your transformation?!"
"What about it?"
"How do you turn into other creatures? That's magic, right?"
"It's not as simple as magic!"
"Don't call magic simple when you can't even cast a minor healing spell!"
"It's not magic!" You snapped, "It's druidism!"
"So nature magic!"
"It's not-!" You pouted as you fumed quietly, "It's not magic magic...!"
"Fine, let's drop the whole ass magic subject!" Sanemi was just about done, "You turn into animals and other things, right?"
"Yes, but-!"
"But what?!"
"I might be a shapeshifter, but that doesn't mean I'm good at it!" You cried out desperately, "I don't even know how to turn back properly once I transform!"
"Shit..." Sanemi felt like he was being pranked and some guild members would pop out around the corner to laugh at him.
...He wasn't that lucky.
"So you're a shapeshifter that doesn't even know how you transform?"
"Right," You nodded and he frowned as he thought about all that had happened until this moment.
"If my gut is right, you turn back when you get hurt, huh?"
"I don't know!" You pouted, "I don't know what triggers my transformation and what undoes it... Mostly pain, I think..."
"And people at the guild know about you?"
You shrugged, "I'm not sure? Maybe the guild lady-?"
"Fuck! That wretched woman back at the guild could have told me you were a shapeshifter...!"
"It's not like I flaunt with that knowledge!" You snapped, frustrated with yourself and the subject. Sanemi glared at you, "That leads us to question why you even are here!?"
"For herbs!" You replied, as you reached for your bag "I came to pick up herbs, but something attacked me, I got scared and it triggered my transformation!"
Ah, not only was Shady Forest known for its monsters, but also its herbs, medical plants, and other rare or otherwise wanted flora.
"This must be yours then..." Sanemi grumbled as he pulled the book he had picked up earlier.
"That's my field journal!" Your eyes widened as you saw the book and quickly took it from the young man, "I take notes on herbs, their locations, and other stuff that mages, alchemists, or other people like that may need!"
"Then why the Hell you didn't return to the city once you got the herbs!?"
"This sounds like the start of a joke," You snorted a little, "A Ramphera walked into a city, and you can probably figure out the rest of the joke?"
"I can, "He nodded and you frowned, "That's why I've been sticking to herb gathering and such... I don't trust myself when against living beings that can trigger my transformation..."
"I can see why," Sanemi rubbed his eyes, feeling a headache approaching quickly.
"Why did you come here? Did the guild send you?" You asked and the young man nodded, "More or less... Some idiot must have seen you and mistaken you as actually a dangerous monster and alerted the guild."
"Ah, I see..." You sighed sadly, "Misunderstandings tend to happen when scary monsters and such are in question..."
"Or a bad shapeshifter...!"
"I'm not bad!" You snapped stubbornly, "I'm just not good at it yet!"
"Trust me, I know...!" Sanemi groaned but he couldn't leave you there. It would get dark soon and Shady Forest was way more dangerous during actual nighttime.
"Pack your stuff, I'm taking you back to the city."
"Really?" You smiled as you felt like a great weight had been lifted from your shoulders, "You will take me back?"
"That's what I was sent to do." He grunted as he got up and your smile just grew as you gathered your things and followed him outside
"Follow me, I'll take us out of here," Sanemi ordered and you nodded as you followed him all the way out of the Shady Forest.
As soon as you were out of the forest, you gasped for air like you had been submerged this whole time instead of hiding in a dark forest.
"Ah, fresh air! I thought I might never get to see or breathe it again!"
"You're being dramatic," Your savior rolled his eyes as you kept waking.
"I never got your name?" You asked all of a sudden and the young man grunted, "It's Sanemi. Sanemi Shinazugawa."
"The Sanemi Shinazugawa!?" You gasped out loud, "The same man who tamed Wind and harnessed it with his twin blades!?"
"Yeah, so what?" He scowled as he glared at you over his shoulder, but you were totally fangirling, "Oh God, I never guessed they would send you after me!"
"Well, count yourself lucky."
"Honestly, you're like a legend!"
The rest of the walk to the city was filled with your excited questions and Sanemi more or less answering to them. Finally, you made it to the city and he turned to look at you.
"Your wound is still fresh." He frowned as he pointed towards the hospital, "If you head to the healer quickly then you shouldn't get a scar-!"
"Nah nah, I think I'll keep this scar!" You laughed as you showed him your bandaged arm, "Not many can say they went against Sanemi Shinazugawa and got out alive!"
"Tch, you make it sound like I'm some sort of monster," Sanemi grunted, but he was secretly smiling inside.
"Well, still!" You smiled, "Thank you for helping me out! I would still be stuck in that forest without you!"
"You're welcome..."
"Well... I hope we see each other again at the guild?"
"Maybe..."
"Thank you one more time," You smiled as you turned to leave... But as you walked away, Sanemi got the feeling that he was letting something important leave and never to be seen again.
"Hold it!" He found himself shouting as he grabbed your upper arm and stopped you.
"What is it?" You blinked in confusion as you looked at him.
"I- I-!" He quickly came up with something, "I think it would be dangerous for you and others to let you go on your own out there!"
"Then what do you want me to do?" You frowned, "I can't stop adventuring!"
"Join my team!" Sanemi shouted, much to your and even his shock. Just what the fuck did he just say?!
"W- What!?" You were taken aback by his words and he nodded, "Form a team with me! I believe that we would both benefit it if we worked together!"
"Are you-?" You smiled, "Are you serious?"
"I never joke around!" He snapped and you cheered as you jumped and hugged him, "Thank you, thank you! I will be the best apprentice you can hope for!"
"Tch, enough...!" Sanemi growled as people started to look at your guys curiously, "Let's head to the guild and make our party official..."
"Yes!" You cheered and the two of you headed towards the guild together, a question popped into Sanemi's mind.
HELLO!!! i have a request for a platonic Crowley and Aziraphale x fem!reader with she/they pronouns 😄 if you know Nimona, then thats what i want the reader to be like. theyre a spunky, immortal, young teenager anarchist who can shapeshift and has unnaturally coloured eyes and hair. one day they find the two (husbands), and kinda just stays, so Crowley and Aziraphale accept their fate!! i dont mind if you decide to include a smudge of angst (or a shit ton whatever you prefer, but im impartial to both, so do with that what you will,) because after the newest season, i cant get enough of it.
many thanks!!
Oh! I haven't seen the movie but I know about Nimona!
......
You met Aziraphale and Crowley in 537 AD, encountering them by pure chance.
At first you intimidate them as a dragon, thinking they were two hapless knights who lost their way back to their kingdom..
Until you saw Crowley's snake eyes, and you realize he's not human at all.
"You there...I like your eyes.....are you another shapeshifter?"
"...um..nope." The demon in black armor looks incredibly confused, especially at this dragon talking to him. "Don't know what gave you that idea.."
"Well technically he is." The white knight adds on, smiling nervously. "You see, my erm..."rival" here is something of a serpent who was sent to-"
"Shut it, Angel. This beast doesn't need our lifestory! Now if you could kindly excuse us, o' great dragon, we have to discuss-"
"Hate to break it to you, but....I'm not actually a dragon."
"Then what are you exactly? You...said something about "shapeshifting" before, didn't you?"
To answer Crowley's question, you transform into a young human clad in knight armor, taking off your helmet to reveal your unnaturally-colored eyes and hair, smiling. "Bingo."
The pair are quite impressed, so they have no reason to hide the fact they were an angel and demon.
You explained how you've had these shapeshifting powers for a long time, being on the run since everyone thinks you're a "cursed child" or some monster that was once banished, wanting nothing more than to drive a sword through your heart.
When it's clear that neither Aziraphale nor Crowley have any intentions of hurting you....that's when you decided to stick with them.
It took them 20 years to realize you never aged, learning you're an immortal being in a teenager's body.
Your powers allow you to keep up with the times, disguising yourself as animals, people...or even angels and demons if your heart so desired.
Sometimes you'll turn into a snake much like Crowley's own snake form (although your scales have the color of your hair, ofc, so you're not 100% identical).
You haven't mastered turning just your head into a snake, however.
In the modern era, you enjoy being a nightingale after learning they were both fond of those birds, often singing in the bookshop out of boredom.
Although Crowley's fully aware you're not a demon, you got a spunky and rebellious personality and love getting up to mischief.
And he 100% encourages this (while poor Aziraphale's practically begging you to stay out of trouble).
But you're definitely on the angel's side anytime he compliments Crowley, who just snarls and denies ever doing something "nice" or "good".
You don't believe he's all that evil for even a moment.
While you're aware that they have to act like they despise each other bc they're on opposite sides...in your eyes, they behave so much like an old married human couple.
Aziraphale emphasizing "our car" when talking about the Bentley made you roll your eyes and joke about when the wedding's gonna start.
When Aziraphale returns to Heaven without Crowley, you realize that maybe your "marriage jokes" went a bit too far...even though neither of them blame you for their falling out.
Still, you feel bad bc you can tell Crowley was genuinely in love with him.
You overheard everything, and after his "no nightingales" remark, you're reluctant to shapeshift into one again out of fear of upsetting him.
Yet he asks you, too, as he couldn't bear the silence in the bookshop anymore...and listening to any of Aziraphale's music records would've been too painful for him.
You obliged, staying perched on his shoulder as he stared out the window for hours...hoping that his angel would come back to him.
You hoped so, too, waiting everyday by his side...until the end of time if you had to.

The last thing you remember after you wake up is Natasha Carrying you. You sit up, confused as you find yourself alone in Wanda’s room. You looked behind you where a change of cloth and a Note sat.
‘Hey Y/n, When you’re awake come find us in the kitchen :)’
Wanda’s writing greeted you and You sighed, ‘Guess I’ll find out if i’m about to be homeless or in a cell’ You said to yourself, Quickly changing before you heard a phone ring, Natasha’s phone, as far as you have known her, She never leaves her phone behind, Not unless she wanted the person to find it. As it continued to ring, you sigh letting your heart control your movement as you went to pick it up, Wanda’s Name flashed before you. Confused, you answer the call, waiting for whoever was on the other side to speak.
“Hey Y/n, Just wanted to check in if you're awake, glad you are. We just wanted you to know that if you aren’t comfortable to come out like yourself, we won’t force you darling, You can come meet us however you like." Wanda spoke and the anger and disgust that you were expecting wasn't there, instead all you felt was comfort and concern. You were taken aback, never in your 18 years of being alive had anyone been so patient and Nice with you.
You, instinctively, as your body remembers, turn back into the black cat, the fabrics covering you as you grow smaller. Once you get out of the said pile of fabric you rush out the room, carefully walking through the hallway until you make it to the Kitchen Turning. You could hear Natasha mumbling about how her sister was sending too many memes while Wanda laughed along. As you enter their line of sight, a genuine and Kind smile makes its way across Wanda's face and you could feel your body relax just by it. "Hello there My girl" The shine in your eyes when Wanda calls you as if you were just her own pet is noticeable from anywhere and anyone. Natasha smiles as pats her leg, telling you to climb on. You quickly agree, grabbing onto her boots before throwing yourself towards her lap, Landing perfectly. She chuckles as she Rubs your Head, earning sweet sounds of your purrs. “Are you Hungry?” You Shake your head up and down, fast. They Raise their brow at you but nod and Wanda works on cooking some Soup for you while Natasha Turns you to face her.
While you and Natasha Play, Wanda finishes her Cooking, She Poured the Soup in your bowl before placing it on the table. Natasha gently lands you on the table before Getting up from her seat to stretch her legs. “I’ll be at the Gym, Eat slowly” She announced, Patting your head as you started slurping down the drink as fast as you could without burning your tongue.
“I’ll see you later” Wanda waves at her, You sit back, watching as Natasha passes the softest smile you’d seen her pull and walk away while Wanda’s eyes linger on her. When Wanda turns to look at you, You’ve sat, facing her, your soup long forgotten as you tilted your head at her, a shine in your eyes that had Wanda know exactly what was going on in your head.
“No no no, We are not having this conversation” She shakes her head, Walking away from the table as she tries to avoid your Calls. Well Meows, She sighs as she feels you jump and Climb on her back, Your claw tangling on her hair a little. “Y/n no” Before she could argue with a literal Cat for much longer, Stark jogs in, His gear signaling that he just came back from a jog. “Y/n? You named her already? Well about Time” he gives Quick Pat on your head before going to the Kitchen for what you presumed Coffee, Leave the man to drink Coffee seconds after he finishes his run. Steve and Sam come in soon enough, Sam Playfully glaring at you causing you to hiss at him. Steve laughs at the childlike behavior as Him and Wanda exchange greetings.
Wanda Carries you carefully so that You wouldn’t pull on her hair or tear her coat, it was a nice coat. Once Wanda carries you comfortably she and you make your way to The Gym where you can already hear Kate Complaining and Yelena Laughing. “We’ve arrived” Wanda announces just as You leap off her arms and Rush towards the Other, Straight into Kate’s Legs. “Hey~” Kate laughed as She picked you up. ‘I demand cuddles’ You huffed, Snuggling into her more, making Yelena Pout at you. “Seriously?”Nat laughs from her spot at the Weights and walks over to stand beside Wanda. “Spar?” She suggests and Wanda agrees, while they Spar, Kate and Yelena exchange Stories and Small talk while You try to Sleep.
-
The next time You notice your surroundings You are in the Living room, Kate beside you as she and Yelena play some sort of game. Peter is trying to make some project while Sam is passed out with some Old Action movie playing as the background. You stretch with a whine, Catching the attention of the new addition of the team who giggle as you Look around trying to find either Natasha or Wanda. "They are with Steve and Tony at a small meeting Little One. Should be back in a while" Kate Rubs your Back and You purr. Just like that the game was long forgotten as They took turns Playing with you until the adults came back. As soon as the Elevator opened, You jumped away from Kate and Ran to the Group as if your life depended on it.
Wanda was quick to kneel down to catch you making Tony Laugh as the force at which you came pushed Wanda to fall and sit on the ground. You lick her cheek in greeting causing Natasha to Humm in Offense. “I never got any greetings like that. '' She mentions as she walks away, fueling Tony's laughter more. “Never knew Red would be Jealous of a cat of all things.” He says in between giggles before he walks away. You look at wanda before jumping out of her arms and rushing to Natasha, clawing at her legs. She looks down at you, noticing the look she assumes is you pouting. She smirks before lifting her leg up so you could use it as a leverage to climb up her body and land on her arms. “Well hello there you” She rubs your head as you lick her cheeks. "You're lucky You're cute" She mumbles in a soft baby voice and Tony snickers. "Only a cat could reduce a cold blooded Assassin into a baby voice Pet lover" that earns him a kick on the back of his legs.
"You hungry Y/n" Nat asked, Your response being a very excited Meow and Your tail constantly hitting around her. "Alrighty" She says as she places you on the kitchen counter and goes to grab something for you to eat.
"I've noticed that you threw out the cat food, why? What does Y/n eat anymore?" Sam asks, waking over to fill his glass of Water. "Normal food" Natasha replied with a monotone voice. "What?" He has to double check that it wasn't a joke. "Something the cat cannot eat, no? She might die" He points out causing you to laugh, well as 'laugh' as you can in a cat form. "Don't worry, she'll be fine" Natasha says as she pushes him out of the kitchen as calls in Wanda. "I'm making dinner, what do you want?" "Pasta is fine Nat"
You sit between the two, moving your head every once in a while as they talk and chat. Slowly you get bored walking out and going back to Yelena and Kate.
