My job actually is usually pretty decent. Schedule can stay consistent for weeks, and my boss is super chill. Main thing that sucks about being a shift manager at a small store is that one thing can happen and there goes literally all my off days

Me: I am going on vacation.

Also me: my favorite part of conventions is volunteering.

My boss: so you're going to see the world on your vacation?

Me: I am helping run a convention

My boss: so you're going on vacation to work?

Me: No, all volunteering. These things run completely on volunteers.

Boss: okay so how much of it are you doing?

Me: oh only around 45 hours

Boss: You're gone for 5 days.

Me: yes, I would be doing more but shabbat took a day out of my time.

My boss looks at me like I'm insane.

My dude, I have worked here for a year, if you haven't figured that out yet then you're not paying attention and I need to take more advantage of it

I'm at my job at a fast food restaurant, I'm a shift manager. And I get so irritated when new people think I can't do your job and mine at the same time. Sir, I realize that you are overwhelmed that you gotta do dishes after I ask you to drop some fries and drop 20 fish but if you could not act like this is as busy as a hospital because it's really not that hard.

Workaholic! Advice?

Hey everyone! So I am in training to be a shift manager at the local Burger King and the past two shifts have been awesome! Little nervous though to give them my preferred name! Will probably wait until I get to know the official store GM in depth before I do this. She seems really chill and like she’d be able to accommodate and not get me fired or discriminated against but for the time being I’ll go by my birth name.. Any way also starting August 30th I start four out of the six Fall classes I am signed up to do the other two start September 13th. I am way nervous because working 45+ hours a week on top of 6 classes on top of trying to do a YouTube channel and grow on tiktok as well as Spend time with my Wife as much as I can is giving me a lot of stress.

So to all my life scheduler guru peoples....got any advice for me on A how to not have a nervous breakdown and B how to manage my time wisely and effectively. Any advice would be Much appreciated
