It is late but I’ve got Ryulock on the brain so here I am! But I’m thinking about Ryu wanting to feel the warmth of another person after kazumas death. While he and Kazuma never went past heated kisses or Kazuma giving him a handjob, they frequently shared a futon when they roomed together. And on the short 2 weeks together on the SS.Burya some nights would even cuddle together.

Now 2 months into his stay at Britain his bed at Mr. Sholmes apartment feels so cold and lonely. And he can’t deny the detective is steadily growing on him. His thoughts wander from seeking comfort from the detective in a form of a hug to sharing a bed rather quickly.

Ryu can’t deny the detective is attractive, but he’s dedicated to Kazuma! But Kazumas dead. He’s gone and he won’t be coming back. Ryu doesn’t think he can move on regardless of that fact.

2 months later Ryu feels even more lonely, he’s surrounded by wonderful friends but the more happy moments he has the more he’s reminded about how Kazuma isn’t here in them. Ryu thinks maybe he can find comfort in Mr. Sholmes despite loving Kazuma. So he does just that.

He visits Mr. Sholmes room one night. An especially lonely night, where his empty bed and lack of his partners touch is debilitating. He pushes through his own anxiety and with a flushed and sweating face asks Sholmes if they can spend the night together.

Says it doesn’t have to be anything but a one time thing. How he’ll leave right now if Sholmes wants him too. But Sholmes can’t deny he misses his own partner. He feels a bit bad about using Ryu as a substitute. Key word a bit. So he agrees.

They don’t do much they’re first time. Ryu after having no ones touch for months cums surprisingly quick, to Sholmes at least. There is a next time though and this time Sholmes has a hefty secret to share. He’s a woman?! Or that’s Ryu first impression of Sholmes confession. The more he’s told the more he understands. Apparently Sholmes was born a woman but lives life as a man, he is no cross dresser instead a soul of man in the body of a woman.

That Ryu understands best. They continue their meetings after that and they progress the further they go. Until they have penetrative sex, something Ryu feels very conflicted about. Even he and Kazuma hadn’t gone that far. For a moment he thinks “shouldn’t I wait to do this with Kazuma” and it hits him finally. Kazuma is truly gone, he’s gone and he has to keep on living despite that. Mr. Sholmes would never be Kazuma and he doesn’t love him. At least not the way he loved Kazuma, no one would be Kazuma to him. And that’s ok.
