“ Are you going to have any other lectures I can show up to?” There’s a grin. Will he listen or sleep? Who knows.

Getting onto school property wasn’t difficult when he’d been studying the right path to sneak past the custodians to get to his target destination: the chairman’s office. His father’s lair. A place that potentially held the secrets Gakushuu had been looking to uncover, the ones he couldn’t find in news reports or his own home. Gakushuu hid, and upon being sure that those weren’t his father’s footsteps entering the room, he stood, assuming it was a custodian and armed with the excuse of retrieving something for the chairman, only to pause when he saw the other person.
“Kirigiri,” he said slowly after a moment. “Is there any particular reason you’re trespassing on school grounds after hours?”
