Ghost Wuya can go directly into people's heads and extract specific information from their mind.
Hannibal can wriggle into people's heads and influence their subconscious.
Sibini can crawl into people's heads and control their body.
What the Hey! Have a second plot today~!
Jack Plot 135: Sibini!Jack
Instead of possessing Clay, sibini possessed Jack.
He'd been sneaking into the temple at the time and found the broken mosaic scale in Clay's room. No one thought anything about Jack acting evil and more of a prankster than usual. It was the perfect hiding place! Because of no one thinking anything strange about Jack, no one bothered to look into the mosaic scale issue until the monarch wings went active and Kimiko was forced to spill she'd broken the scale. Suddenly all eyes fall on Jack. They were such fools! Jack was never REAL evil before!
The monks end up late to the party and Jack-bini has already claimed the wings (Chase didn't get involved because Sibini would have no reason to seek him out) with both wu, Sibini leaves his host and a disoriented Jack is left to be ambushed by the monks thinking he's still possessed.
After learning what had happened Jack is super ticked off, and joins the monk's side to stop this jerky earwig who wore him then tossed him like last month's fashions. He screws around in his lab while the monks try the upfront approach. They fail of course, but good thing Jack's smarter than he gets credit for. He whips out a prototype of a project he'd been working on since wuya left because she drives him crazy. A way to contain powerful magical beings.
Jack makes a puzzlebox.
He gets the monks to lure Sibini in and then snaps the trap. It works wonderfully. He shoves the container into Clay's chest. “go seal this up in your vault, or maybe somewhere that's actually difficult to break into.”
Let me know if your write it~!
Yes I am in fact making all of you suffer through more of this AU because it makes me laugh.
Anyway: enjoy some ‘band cards’ of the Dashi Trio and the Demons from this story (bet you can guess who is who!) 🤣 along with ‘Chapter 2’ (which is mostly just silliness)
Chapter 2
In which Chase meets with Hannibal and Dashi insists he has a completely legit way of fixing Chase’s voice.
Your theories about the Shen Gong Wu being sealed monsters with minds of their own make the Heylin Comet stuff make SO MUCH SENSE
Thank you! It really does make sense, I think. There's a lot of East Asian myths regarding monsters and magical creatures that have been sealed inside objects, so it makes logical sense. Especially with how they often behave with their own wills/minds in early episodes. So an outside magical force makes sense as affecting them if you consider it to be one of those types of events where a boundary becomes thinner/their vessels begin having less control over them.
Though I will clarify that I don't think every single one was originally its own creature. I believe that all of the components of Mala Mala Jong (Fist of Tebigong, Two-Ton Tunic, Eye of Dashi, Third-Arm Sash, and Jetbootsu, along with the Heart of Jong), were originally all parts of Mala Mala's original body, and cut apart by Dashi in the early days in order to split him up and seal away his powers and body with more success. Same with other Wu that have an intrinsic connection (Mosaic Scale and Monarch Wings being components of the original Sibini).
old art i did for xiaolin showdown
Chase already finds "possession" distasteful/lazy, I can hardly imagine how angry he'd be if Hannibal specifically possessed Omi...
Me too, anon. But one is certain: he would be seeing RED. If the monks wanted to team up with him to save Omi, I think he would even yell at them for their incompetence, which led to the possession of Omi in the first place.
And if this arc takes place after Raimundo gets promoted to leader, Chase would coldly state he's not fit for the position if he can't even keep the team together.
In normal circumstances, Rai would argue with Chase because he hates his guts. However, saving Omi is a top priority so Rai puts aside the grudge and tries to convince Chase to include them in his plan to defeat Sibini and Hannibal. (it takes a LOT of convincing btw. But Rai is good at coming up with a strategy so Chase reluctantly could admit he could use some of their help as a preventive measure. Bc both Rai and Chase know that the real target is Chase and if the monks helped it would create an element of surprise to their advantage or sth)
This screenshot has a big meme potential! So I did some, under the cut!
I call this one: ‘Chase stares into camera office (to ignore his guests)’
