Day 01. @cyanidelegacy by @weicyn. I’ve been meaning to make this post for a while but haven’t felt up to it but when @simmingkatie and I decided to do this, I knew that Cyn deserved to be the one I kick off the challenge with.
Buckle up, my loves, because this wonderful gal deserves SO. MUCH. LOVE.
First of all, for @weicyn, I have to say what an incredibly wonderful, supportive, kind person she is. She is constantly going above and beyond to support her fellow Simblrs - big and small - and it is something I absolutely adore about her. And, honestly, it was her kindness that inspired me to spend so much time sharing the love around myself so thank you, Cyn, for being such a spectacular influence.
Not only is Cyn SUPER supportive of other Simblrs, she’s also incredibly supportive of people in general. I have been going through a lot over the last few months with my diagnosis of endometriosis and the battle that followed. Every single time I posted about it, Cyn was there with a beautifully kind comment brightening my darkest days. Thank you, again, for being a friend.
Now, onto the incredible content she blesses us with on @cyanidelegacy!
I have been following The Cyanide Legacy since I joined Tumblr, and I’ve reread from the start on more than one occasion because I love the story and I love the writing style. TCL follows the life of Cyn Cyanide and her descendants, the products of romances between herself and Patchy, and with Grim. It has the right amount of highs and lows, drama, comedy, and heartwarming moments. It’s the kind of story that really draws you in and you find yourself so invested in the lives of the family.

If you’re like me and can’t get enough of The Cyanide Legacy, Cyn also has two different spin offs! Currently, she is also posting her story Faust Files, which focuses on Fred Faust and Artemis Reaper and their off-the-book investigations. You can also find her highly entertaining, more comedic posts about Aarnav’s misadventures. I absolutely adore the exasperated tone in which his story was written, it’s kind of like everything Cyn touches turns to gold?
I’d also like to mention here the effort that went into setting the scene for Faust Files. I remember seeing the prologue/scene-setting posts as they were being published and being in total awe of how incredibly dedicated Cyn is to making sure that her readers get as much out of her stories as possible.

It’s so obvious that Cyn really puts her heart and soul into her stories. The planning, the writing, the structure, all of it must take so much time but Cyn is so dedicated to making sure that her story flows and it shows! I love The Cyanide Legacy, remember, I’ve read it more than once, and I love both spin offs. I’d also like to acknowledge that she makes a conscious effort to warn her followers about upcoming scenes including sensitive topics, which I’ve really appreciated.
If you aren’t already, I really recommend that you follow @cyanidelegacy for incredibly well-written stories.
Jakob: Looks like the fundraiser is going well. It’s amazing what you are trying to do for the kids. Baking all these goodies so the kids can go on a trip. Charlee: Thanks. I love baking it was no trouble. Apparently didn’t bake enough. We are almost sold out. Jakob: I see you still have some carrot cake left. Charlee: Can’t get kids to eat anything with a vegetable in it I swear. Did you want a slice? Jakob: If you don’t mine. -mouth full- Oh god. This is so good. Charlee: T-thanks. It’s my grandmother’s recipe. Jakob: I’ve never tasted anything so good, really.
Eliza: Hey. Hey! Calm down for a second. I- God I wanted to tell you this later but you’re hella stressed right now. Their birthday is coming up, I was gonna invite Lillian and Raven, my parents, Sage and Sofia.
Irvin: ...
Eliza: I was also gonna suggest you move in.
Irvin: !!!
Eliza: The twins have already asked if we can “keep you.” I think it’d be easier to tell them you’re their dad if you actually lived with us.
Irvin: I- I don’t know what to say. Yes? I just... Yeah, yeah I’d like that.
Irvin: Sorry--for blowing up at you.
