SO A HERONSTAIRS QUARTET!!!
Jem - Violin (ofc)
Tessa - Viola (inspired by Jem she picked it up and learned over the years)
Kit - Cello (look,, if Jem is in charging of Kit’s shadowhunter training he’s gonna make music education a requirement!! And Kit chooses cello— he also plays in his school orchestra!!)
Jace - Piano (ofc—they recruit Jace for the keys, and this leads to more Jace and Kit bonding opportunities)
+ 1 - Mina (she makes appearances sometimes with her toddler sized violin — eventually joining when she is old enough and they become a Quintet)
They rehearse weekly in devon!!
And Kit shows Jem how easy it is now to buy, look up, write and transpose sheet music and Jem becomes OBSESSED!!
They play a mix if old classic and classic renditions of modern pop songs (bridgerton style) — Jace and Jem write some of their own stuff too!! And eventually Kit starts writing as well!! (jace and kit both already have the sad boy poetry down for songwriting — haha)
Will is their biggest fan ofc!! You can hear him cheering from the next life
