The gang is all here to celebrate Pride and looking ✨fabulous✨ as ever while doing so. Also likely going to kick some bigots asses while they're at it. Because together we stand stronger.
I’ve fought beside all kinds of people—Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, you name it. Didn’t matter who they were. What mattered was that they showed up. That they fought for something bigger than themselves.
Now they’re trying to erase those people from the record… like they never counted.
Not on my watch.
They’re trying to erase you from history.
But I see you. And I will fight for you.
Because I will never back down. Not when it comes down to you.
"ceterosexual is just fetishization. how can you tell who's nonbinary?" well, how can you tell who's male or female?
"that's different. you can tell by their looks." no, you can't. looks may indicate a more likely chance, but it's not always the case.
"but you can at least experience the attraction based on what you assume." well, yeah. obviously. i've heard stories of strictly gay men hitting on stone butches until they realized they were women, not men. they simply lose interest once they realize they're women, despite looking like men. perhaps the same logic applies to ceterosexuals, no? unless, of course, you simply think those gay men are just fetishizing masculinity...
These are pride flag redesigns & redefinition! Our flags are permanently completely free-to-use, always! This includes a brown chevron for people of color.
This will only be refered to as allotroposexual in its redefinition.
Allotropo (romantic/sexual) is a microlabel under the nonbinary umbrella. Allotropo (romantic/sexual) is an orientation in which a person is primarily or exclusively attracted to individuals who identify under the nonbinary umbrella and don’t adhere to a strict binary gender (man, woman), including genderqueer, agender, multigender, and neo/xenogenders.
🌲 redesign / rename / redefinition notes
The allotropo- in is based on the Greek words for "different" and "mode of life." — its a fun way to say this flag!
in terms of design, I found the initial proposed colors to be too oversaturated, unappealing and especially imbalanced. Its design did not feel inclusive of the "other" non-binary genders as defined.
I find without the overt implications of the kind of people this flag is for, as quoted in its wiki, chasers may find comfort in this label. This is a microlabel intended for queer 4 queer limited relationships.
"The prefix skolio- means "crooked" or "bent"— Queers are not crooked, bent or bad, especially those who already find trouble fitting in as non-binary folk
"The cetero– in ceterosexual is based on the Latin ceterus, meaning "the other, the rest". — though i understand its initial name is based in a latin word i've chosen to both rename and not primarily Identify this flag under its alternative names (skoliosexual/ceterosexual) for multiple reasons;
1. It's hard to pronounce.
2. its too similar/can come off as an alternative to "heterosexual" when this is not, even in proper definition is intended to be.
3. Heterosexual folk may find comfort in this term-- it is not meant for these individuals.
