Many scientists and researchers over the decades were attempting to commit a great discovery - to find a great ape in the North America. Many a conmen attempted to fake the remains and footprints and photos of those non-existent creatures, but many believed that a true american great ape can be found in the south-east of the United States - The legendary cryptic Skunk Ape. One can only wonder if those explorers and hunters would be dissapointed or exited to find out that this beast isn't a great ape after all. The legendary beast in reality is a way more unique creature - A colossal, much taller than a man, bipedal monkey, a distant relative of mandrills and baboons, tho exept for the fanged colorful face it doesn't share many surface-level similarities. The skunk part of its name derives both from its black fur with dirty-white stripes, as well as disgusting stench constantly being emmited by it, mainly from its maw - The smell coming from the fumes of its extremly powerful stomach acid, which allows skunk ape to digest anything it can chew through and swallow without any negative effects, letting it feed on plants, wildlife, bones, wood, and even lost electronics, garbage and local infrastructure.
