You thought that teaching Michael how to make pancakes would be a good idea, it was at first.
He was surprisingly well with mixing the ingredients together to make the pancake batter, which wasn’t a surprise either.
You already had the stove ready for him and put the batter on the pan, looking over at Michael… he was holding the spatula like it was a knife.
“Mikey.. that’s not.. here.” Taking it away you grabbed his hand and showed him how to properly hold it, earning a head tilt in return. You had your own spatula.
“Whenever the pancake isn’t sticking to the pan and isn’t breaking if you try to pick it up that means it’s time to flip it.” You showed him how to flip it. “Like this, think you can do that?”
He nodded his head before looking DEAD at the pancake, almost like he just left it there. 2 minutes went by, he still didn’t do anything. Maybe he’s zoned out?
He finally flipped it. But… it was black.
Blacker than the color black itself. He turned his head towards you and it took everything in your willpower to not laugh. He BURNT the pancake.
Your eyes were watering due to not laughing, you wanted to laugh so bad but you couldn’t or else he would leave you there. “You did.. you..burnt.” You let it out
Holding onto your stomach as you started laughing, “I’m sorry it’s funny!” You knew when it was the right time to flip it but you wanted to see if Michael knew… and he FAILED.
His grip tightened on the spatula. Not liking your response to the flip. Letting out a grunt before hitting you on the head with it. “HA- OW! Mikey!” After he hit you Michael put down the spatula, now leaving the kitchen to do who knows what.
“I should’ve recorded that..” you said after your giggles eventually died down. Now going to make the pancakes yourself.
