Watching today’s scenes and thinking they’ve got to be setting up Robert to finally have a mental health storyline because the way he’s currently acting isn’t consistent with who he is

Remembering what show I’m watching and that they don’t care about Robert because all they’ve done is make him a villain in a storyline which began with him protecting his little sister from going to prison

You know, I'd take people critiquing Metaphor Refantazio more seriously if, you know, they actually had legit criticism.

i only have one thought and it’s WOW yr needs more episodes. i don’t even mean this in an “omg-i-need-more-wilmon” kinda way. it’s just that lisa introduces a lot of topics and issues each season that (imo) ARE interesting and/or relevant but they’re not given the screen time needed to fully flesh them out.

as a result, viewers dismiss a lot of yr’s plot lines as rushed, underdeveloped and unnecessary when i would argue a good 95% of what lisa has written was needed in the show. (yes, even the damn horse)

imo lisa succeeded in the first season because it was mainly wilmon-centric. but, with s2, we were introduced to other stories as well. which isn’t a bad thing! it was just difficult to see other characters get the screen time viewers believed wilmon should’ve gotten, especially considering this was the point their characters/relationship needed the most development.

s3 (so far) is an example of what an amazing show yr could be with multiple characters/stories while still being wilmon-centric. but, yet again, time is not in the writing’s favour as wilmon, once again, does not get the time they deserve.

idk, a good 10-12 episodes each season would’ve been amazing. but that’s just me.

In other words, I still have no idea what to do Guinevere and I'm starting to feel like I wrote myself into a corner with her. Which is impressive, considering I barely did any writing with her-

I really should talk about my characters more. Years ago something nasty happened and because of it I've constantly convinced myself that I subconsciously stole my own ideas from other people or that nothing I make is likeable. But, I know for a fact that they were wrong. I know it's just my anxiety and trauma talking. "Nothing is truly original" and that's a good thing.

And hey, when it comes to ocs, we should be our own biggest fans. No one's gonna be curious about them if I never talk about them! It has taken me years to rebuild the confidence to start sharing them and their stories again and I am starting to feel my mojo coming back!

It’s interesting to me that Violet seems to be more popular than Scarlet when it seems to me that the designs for all of the Paradox Pokémon from the past are blatantly more interesting than for the future, lol. 

All the future ones just look like “(Pokémon) but robot now.” besides Iron Valiant (also the fact that they’re all named Iron Something is super boring) while the past ones have more varied designs with a theme that’s less obviously expressed. I actually like some of the Violet Pokémon despite that, but none of them really get as cute or interesting as Scream Tail or Sandy Shocks, imo. Also Koraidon is cooler and Turo is a cryptobro looking fucker lol.

They’re basically the same game at the core so it doesn’t really matter, but I didn’t realize my aesthetic sensibilities were that far from the norm, y’know?
