Trapped

With all that has happened in Baltimore this week and throughout the US in the past few years, I think it is easy to say that we all kind of feel like the people you see inside the back of this truck in the picture above.

Honestly...

What is going through your mind as you look at this picture?

Where do you think these people are going?

Do you feel sorry for them?

As you struggle with those questions, I want to be real clear that you and I are no different than the folks above.

You see this is one of the busses in Cuba. Thousands of folks all over the country get on this freely every day to go to work, travel to see family or just to get around town. Yes, there are nicer ones. Even ones that are air conditioned. But some don’t feel worthy to get on those. Other don’t feel like it’s a good use of their money. Others honestly do not feel they have an option.

Sound familiar doesn’t it?

The world is a fallen place and America is no different when you get down to the basics.

We wake up everyday to the same old routine. We get up, get something to drink, get whatever it is we are going to do for the day together, we get something done and then we go back to bed.

And that is not a good thing...

You see, we freely get on that bus every day. The bus that the politicians and the world has provided for us. We are thankful and happy because we don’t want to lose our comfort. We can complain about the suspension and the AC on a hot day, but we still always get back on their bus.

Baltimore is a small result of ALL OF US getting on that same bus every day.

And by we, I mean the CHURCH. It is ALL our doing.

We have stood by and built our houses of gold, only to let the government make a mockery of our fallen God.

We sit in your same pew each Sunday, only to turn our back on Jesus Monday through Saturday.

We give $50,000 for season tickets for our favorite sports team, but we cannot even come up with $1 to give a homeless kid.

That’s not why we were created!

Jesus called us to deliver love.

He didn’t call us to add fuel to the fire. He didn’t call us to mock the uneducated. He didn’t call us to judge the lost.

He...

Called...

Us...

To...

LOVE...

12 This is My commandment: that you love one another [just] as I have loved you.13 No one has greater love [no one has shown stronger affection] than to lay down (give up) his own life for his friends.14 You are My friends if you keep on doing the things which I command you to do.15 I do not call you servants (slaves) any longer, for the servant does not know what his master is doing (working out). But I have called you My friends, because I have made known to you everything that I have heard from My Father. For us to be his hands and feet, we must lay down our life.

In other words, give up the crap we think is important and put Jesus on top so we can freely love and heal.

We need to give our talents to Christ in all we do. We need to praise Him daily in victory and in defeat. We are called to hug. We are made to bring peace.

And whatever it is that drives you from loving... peace can be found by simply saying “I’m sorry” or “I forgive you”...

So take this and go make this world one of LOVE!

Estou distante.. Me perdi nas palavras.

Sinto tudo distante, é como se eu mesmo me afasta se do mundo, estou no meu isolamento, estou vivendo para pensar, vivendo para também contar os meus pensamentos, estou vivendo quieto, estou indiferente, estou nem ai para o resto, estou sei lá, está tudo distante, estou me afastando de tudo, da minha família, de meus amigos, da minha namorada talvez eu não tenha culpa, mas acho que se encaixa, talvez eu precise do meu momento para analisar o meu futuro, acho que preciso do meu momento, para crescer, acho que preciso de me desligar dos outros, as vezes para pensar em mim, acho que os outros precisam se desligar de mim, para mim poder ficar em paz, mas ninguém vive sozinho, quem dera fosse possível mas também não teria a graça do amor, mas tudo está distante, até minha mente esta distante de minha alma, até meus sentimentos estão longes da razão, nada faz sentido, tudo distante, nada certo, como entender ? como fazer um caminho certo ? só restar pensar, analisar, tramar, raciocinar, tudo as vezes gira contra tudo as vezes  quer derrubar, a distancia vezes quer separar, ou ate pessoas querem prejudicar, foda-se tudo isso, fique distante, pense tenha ideias, as pequenas ideias é que vão mudar tudo, pense em você, pense em seus amigos, em sua família, em sua namorada, mas nada é eterno, então se distancie de tudo aquilo que não te trará frutos, pense no seu futuro, pense que o que faz no seu presente, em um momento já é passado, ao mesmo tempo que viva o presente, se distancie do passado, e pense para viver no futuro, mas pense em você!
