I have a red Tangle in my hand and a black chewable Dulcimer pendant around my neck. That shirt is the best shirt I ever bought. LOL! (My sign says “Blue awareness highlights symptoms. Red acceptance highlights personhood.”)

Yes, I chose that sign to go with my Godzilla T-shirt and slippers. (My sign says “Stomp out stigma! #REDInstead”)

A shot with my Wile E. Coyote plushie, who has been my main comfort object since I was 5 years old. I’m 36 now, will be 37 in July 2017. I dressed Wile E. in a little red nightgown my grandma made for him when I was a kid. (My sign says “Love, not fear.”)

Finally, a shot in sensory heaven. Major stimming going on here, I have a gif of what it looks like in motion. I was listening to “Africa” by Toto on repeat. I enjoy stimming like this in corners because corners offer proprioceptive input. (My sign says “#AreYouAwareOfMeNow”)

Hello :) Wondered if you can help, I’m running a campaign for the promotion of autism acceptance and educate against autism speaks as a part of my a level media studies. I am looking for people with autism to help me out. I am currently in the process of being diagnosed. If you could please share with your followers. I am asking for anyone with autism to take a photo, draw a picture or anything. (E.g. Taking a picture of holding sign saying whatever.) about anything to do with autism, SI or anything you like. This is to be used on my facebook campaign, website and instagram all in the idea of promoting education etc. If you could please help I would be grateful, thanks. This seems like a good project to me. It’s always good to promote acceptance and education (not just awareness). Personally I don’t really like the idea of posting a photo of myself, but anyone who is comfortable with that: go for it.

Autism Survey

Hello, we are doing research for our campaign smashing stigma. We have set up a survey for anyone to do (Self diagnosed autism/ diagnosed autism/ relative / parent / teacher / carer / friend / ally / supporter) about preferences to autistic or person with autism and autism speaks. It doesn't take long as is only 8 questions, with the option of adding a comment. So far we have 315 responses and we are trying to reach the 500 mark, or atleast 400, because the number 300 isn't liked much here at smashing stigma (Sorry number 3 lovers).
