I think his exact words were "How could you roofie my lasagna??"
He was never allowed to cook unsupervised again.
Been craving peanut butter lately but unfortunately being allergic to peanuts doesn't help. My flat mate found this no-but butter made from peas for me. Its a bit more carby than your average p. butter but since I only eat it once in awhile, I'll risk it. So glad I could have something like this, that is yummy and gives me my peanut butter fix !

Sneaky Chef Chocolate No-Nut Butter: A Nut Free Alternative
Back in March I did a review on the new Sneaky Chef line of products. Since then my family has continued to use and enjoy both the No-Nut butter and the Pasta sauces. In fact Sneaky Chef pasta sauce is the only sauce we buy now and the entire family agrees it tastes the best. But now the Sneaky Chef has introduced a new chocolate version of the No-Nut Butter. I was given the opportunity to…

so I'm on a health binge. why? I feel fat because clothing stores don't make my style in my size, and I'm only my size because I chose to have a straight marriage and have kids with him. my size is said not to exist by the media. they're full of crap and need to look at their public. Ect ramblings about how the world kicks you when you're down being saved for later. the other reason I'm on a health kick is because I have no Money and no income and need to pay bills and take care of my children. with all the stress... I picked smoking back up as a calming effect. and it has now become a habit I don't even enjoy. I no longer have any... but I need something to fill that space because its what would stop me from breaking down and crying in a full out panic attack. my current solution: I'm doing a sneaky chef cookbook attack on our meals. reason: its replacing our bad food habits with secret healthy ingredients we will hardly notice. many of which raise seratonin levels so that we can be happier and less depressed. second plan. everytime I get an urge to smoke I break out into some kind of exercise. the ones I've been doing: walk the block, leg raises, squats, crunches, plank, push ups, assorted stretches, And some assorted others that are only very randomly done. however. I am in tears from to much stress and argument right now. have been cooking and cleaning all day, and am going to pour myself a nice tall drink the minute my husband gets back home with his mom who is spending the weekend.
PaleOatmeal
As the calendar keeps its forward motion, I keep trying to eat healthier. Regardless of the latest diet du jour, healthy eating means more vegetables and fruit and less processed food. In case you’ve been living under a rock, one of the newest diet crazes is the Paleo lifestyle aka the Caveman Diet. Basically, eating Paleo style means eating lots of protein and vegetables, some fruits, and minimal carbohydrates.
My nod to Paleo living has been to incorporate more vegetables into as many meals as possible and to maintain my protein intake. I do not subscribe to the Paleo dicta that advise against soy and dairy. My bones are good friends and I want them to be happy. As for eliminating Carbohydrates, well, carbs are Vitamin C in my book, so I will eat fewer of them, but I refuse to abandon my old friends. When I was faced with a bounteous supply of cooked organic cauliflower, I came up with a way to use it up for breakfast. (Apologies to anyone affronted by my corruption of the Paleo ideals.)
Microwave* PaleOatmeal
Ingredients:
½ cup cooked cauliflower
½ cup traditional organic oatmeal (not steel-cut unless you cook on a stove-top)
1 cup filtered water
Optional: 1 T. dried unsweetened dried fruit such as raisins or apricots, dash of spices such as cinnamon or ginger
Method:
Microwave on 80% power for 88 seconds.
Stir.
Microwave again at 80% power for 88 seconds.
Stir.
Enjoy!

The Sneaky Chef Shares Her BBQ Secrets
Missy Chase Lapine, otherwise known as The Sneaky Chef, has all the tricks to make our favorite dishes a little healthier—and BBQ is no exception!
When Missy and her family have BBQ, she likes to whip up hearty dishes like Bacon and Cheese Stuffed Burgers, Teriyaki Skirt Steak & Rice Noodle Salad, and BBQ Chicken Drumsticks with her special blue cheese dipping sauce. Although it sounds indulgent, Missy’s mastered the art of sneaking veggies and whole grains into her recipes, without losing any flavor.
She’s even shared one of her favorite recipes with us—BBQ Sneaky Turkey Burgers.
“No one will guess these are turkey burgers, they look and taste like beef!” she said. “Adding my beautiful purple puree of blueberries and spinach gives a sweet moistness to turkey burgers which can often be dry.” Missy likes to serve them on whole grain English Muffins.
BBQ Sneaky Turkey Burgers Recipe
[Makes 4 burgers]
1/4 cup Sneaky Chef Purple Puree (see Make-Ahead Recipe below)
2 tablespoons tomato paste
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
teaspoon chili each chili powder and onion powder
1 teaspoon salt and a few turns of freshly ground pepper
1 cup ground oats (ground in a food processor or blender) or ground flaxseed
1 pound ground turkey (ideally white meat, or a mix of light and dark meat)
4 whole grain English Muffins
Optional topping ideas: tomato slices, pickles, cheese, onions, mustard, ketchup
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the Purple Puree, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add in the oats and ground turkey, mixing until combined (easiest to mix using your hands). Dampen hands and form into 4 equal sized balls, then gently press into patties, about 1 to 3-inch thick.
Preheat an outdoor grill (or indoor grill pan) to medium-high and brush or wipe both the grill and both sides of the burgers generously with oil.
Grill burgers for 7 to 8 minutes on each side until cooked through and no longer pink inside (or until burgers reach internal temp of 160 degrees Fahrenheit).
Serve on warmed English Muffins (or hamburger buns) with optional toppings.
SNEAKY CHEF PURPLE PUREE
3 cups raw baby spinach leaves*
1 1⁄2 cups fresh or frozen blueberries, no added syrup or sugar
1 to 2 tablespoons water
*Note: I prefer raw baby spinach to frozen spinach for this recipe for its more mild flavor; if you must use frozen spinach, only use 1 cup.
Raw baby spinach should be rinsed well, even if the package says “prewashed.” If you’re using frozen blueberries, give them a quick rinse under cold water to thaw a little, and then drain.
Place the spinach in the food processor first and pulse a few times. This will reduce the spinach significantly. Next add the blueberries and 1 tablespoon of water; puree on high until as smooth as possible. Stop occasionally to push the contents to the bottom. If necessary, use another tablespoon of water to create a smooth puree.
This recipe makes about 1 cup of puree; double it if you want to store another cup. It will keep in the refrigerator up to 3 days, or you can freeze 1⁄4-cup portions in sealed plastic bags or small plastic containers.
