Heads up! It’s hotter than the devil’s bum out there, and dehydration can be sneaky (and dangerous!)⁣

Some quick signs you might be dehydrated: ⁣

You have bad breath! ☠ We create less fluid when we’re dehydrated. Saliva is antibacterial, and when there is less of it, well… you guessed it. More bacteria can develop, which means… ew. 🤢 (Think of morning breath! Saliva production stops while we sleep!) ⁣

Sugar cravings! 🍟🍩Dehydration sometimes shows up as hunger. When our fluid is low, your body pulls from its glycogen storage for energy. When THAT gets depleted, we start craving things like carbs to get it back up again. #sneakysneaky!!⁣

I start every morning by chugging some water! And I never leave the house without a bottle in my R2D2 backpack.⁣

Whoops!!

“Ok Avaara, be quiet now. No one can know we’re doing this.” As per her request the skull of Avaara remained silent as Aellesaan checked to make sure everything was in place. The door was sealed tight so no light could escape, and everything had been pushed to the walls, giving her access to a clean floor space. As she had read in the books she wasn’t supposed to have, she circulated her hands and pictured the place she had in mind. Brilliant blue appeared between her palms, growing and growing, until it leaked onto the ground and began to formulate a shimmering circle in mid air.

A shout of glee erupted from her mouth, as the portal solidified. The place in question, Silvermoon, had been one she had read about many times and filled her over the brim with curiosity. The colorful arrays it held, different people, towering buildings… she wanted to witness it all again with her own blue eyes. She had done this a few times before, stalking a particular blood elf that struck her fancy. The other night, she had been given an address to his home and a list of his guilty pleasures.

After all, she couldn’t introduce herself to him unless she had something by which to enter his good graces. Before stepping through, she snatched her bone staff with a firm grasp.

The portal whisked her entire body through within the blink of eye. She was met with a tumultuous feeling, which was North and which was South she had no way of deciphering. It felt like ages before she toppled head over toe into an empty alleyway. A gracious feeling dawned over her that she hadn’t ended up in view of anyone, like a few nights ago. Quickly dawning her darker hood, and cloak, she skittered to the mouth of the alleyway.

No one could be seen, and it was late at night to her advantage. Most people would be asleep. Different greenery littered the side of the street in colorful pots of various sizes. The road was paved in red brick on the sides, and outlined with yellow. The center of the street held brownish green bricks. Even their lampposts were more than a bulb on a stick. All the colours in one place made her smile. Stormwind was vast, but it was dull. Grey stone everywhere, besides the mage district, and little to no greenery unless you visited Lion’s Rest or the mage district.

Knowing she had not much time to waste, dawn was only a few hours away, she began her adventure towards the house. Following the pattern of shadows so well provided here made for quick movement and little time to see her. As a child, she had learned to be sneaky, and had utilized this ability quite frequently as of late to escape her instructors. Her experience negated any qualms about being caught and filled her with a sense of calm.

She made turns on several windy roads, nearly bumping into a promiscuous couple at one point, and almost knocking over a plant a little bit later, but she made it to her destination without incident. If her memory of the detailed map she had stolen was correct, this was the house. 

Making sure no one had followed her, she skirted around the building to the back door. Lock picking was not her forte, but she had the power of frost. Albeit, not as conservative when it came to breaking and entering. With her palm outstretched, she froze the door knob until it became brittle and too dangerous to touch bare handed. Procuring a special glove she had stolen from class, she donned it and broke the knob, rendering the lock useless. The door swung open easily enough, not even making a sound as if well oiled. She donned some hoof slippers, something she had come up with a few years prior, and snuck around until she found what she was looking for. His bedroom. 

Her heart began to beat with a loud thud, increasing in pace as she entered his personal domain. The room was tidy, with open curtains on one wall, a bed in the center, and a dresser conveniently placed immediately to her left. She could set her next note, and gifts there. She quickly set them out, making sure they were equally apart and not crooked. The sun had begun to paint the sky, and she was running out of time. Before she could sneak back out, the blood elf moved. She quickly took one last look before snapping invisible and hiding in the darkest corner the room offered. 

When the rogue awoke, he would find the thistle plant, a miniature thistle boat, and... another note. Just as before, everything was placed precisely in the center, and equally apart. However, the handwriting was the same, as if they had had little practice. "Do you like surprises? I'm having quite a bit of fun. Also, maybe specify which type of thistle is your guilty pleasure next time." Another smiley face was placed below.

Kirollis, the blood elf, groggily swatted at his face in a bid to wake up. How long had he been sleeping? The sun was already up, evident by the beams of light that shined through his drapes. It wasn’t often he chose a day to sleep in, but with all that he had coming his way in the not too distant future? A day of rest seemed appropriate.

As he drifted to his dresser, the gift package left on top of it became abundantly clear. “Okay so I guess I have to change all my locks…” He lamented to himself, obviously aggravated that this person had seemed to sneak into not only his office twice- but now his home. While the gestures themselves were obviously harmless, the implications left him with the sudden urge to stab whoever complimented his home decor next.

He looked over the thistle plant, the boat, and the note. Mulling through one before moving to the next. Though there wasn’t any hint of playfulness or joking demeanors. No, it was far too early in his morning ritual for all of that. “Listen, show up or I’m going to find you. It was cute at first but uh… this is crossing a line.” He stated hoping the shadow was still listening.

Out of the dark, in a corner, sudden cussing would ensue. “Shit shit shit. Not now! Uh oh…I come in peace I swear!” A dark blue Draenei of average height, with blonde hair would suddenly wink into existence. Her eyes were wide with fear as she sat in the corner curled up on herself. Chuckling lightly she raises up her delicate hands in surrender “Surprise?”
