"I had no idea I was meeting Celine," Grace said, watching her daughter pace back and forth with a sympathetic expression on her face. "But I've always been attracted to her and we hit it off very well."
"Very well," Celine agreed, taking what Grace was handing her. "We had a great time. I showed Grace some new things."
Mira's shoulders started to shake.
"So many new experiences," Grace agreed, smiling.
Zoey stared at her a moment, then resumed pacing, now with added muttering and expressive hand movements.
Celine decided to take mercy on her— just not right away, "I may be in need of one of those shirts that says step-father material."
There was complete silence for an entire second before utter and complete pandemonium.
Hello
hey, i'm embr! I'm an aspiring teen author, and I mainly write when inspired by music/books/movies or about my emotions and crushes.
i'm bi and ace, and i've been out to my friends for almost two years now
i have a writing instagram (https://www.instagram.com/embr_writing/) and i'm on SnipFic under embr
recently downloaded snipfic and started writing on there and lemme tell you. It is quite the adjustment going from the lawless paradise that is ao3 to a place where you can't even have too steamy a romance lest you get obliterated.
I WANT SNIPFIC SO BAD BUT I DON'T HAVE A PHONE
NOOOOOOOOOOOO AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Hey there 👋 This is a small blurb from my wip. It's from my debut novel.
I'll keep trying to post scenes from my writing as frequently as I can. I also post on Snipfic regularly, please do consider reaching out there too! I opened this account with the understanding that to write a book also means to market it, and I'm trying. I'm also learning. By no means am I an accomplished writer, I'm learning and I am open to any suggestions. And if you're someone like me and can relate, reach out. Let's build a community. The title is linked with my snipfic account.
Sorry for the ramble and thank you 🫶
To add some background, the boy, "Staney" has a rough childhood. This scene is a memory from his past, an inciting incident. And "Gabriel" is his incident.
Memories
“I see you,” Gabriel said. 'What does he see?’
When seven-year-old Staney stared at the mirror in his new mansion of two years, all he saw was someone wearing clothes that weren’t meant for him, too skinny, and too dark for his new hostile surroundings. When he was twelve, on a cold Friday, he saw the lines of his ribs and the shadowy dark purple bruises on his stomach. On his sixteenth birthday, his mother saw her husband’s face and in the reflection of her eyes, he saw a love that held her captive and the curdling hatred she held for her son. But he didn’t see him, in the mirror, in her eyes, not even in the still gutter of the alleyway.
A snippet from my debut novel that I'm working. If my work interests you, kindly consider following me to support my writing 🫶
I Can't.
