Today was more insane than yesterday at work. We're reorganizing everything, moving tables, bookshelves, displays. You name it and it's been moved. I'm glad to be on my feet and go go go but what's even more relaxing is the after work shower and being in pjs. Some yarn I've been working on. I spun one ply on my old wheel and the second ply plus plying them together on my new wheel. Finally feeling pretty confident with spinning. After some thinking and a great suggestion from the person who got me into spinning, I'll most likely make a cowl out of this yarn because there isn't much yardage there. I'm still super excited to have my first project idea from my own handspun yarn! On the drive home today I realized that the past few summers I would go from work, home to change, and spend 30-40 minutes at the gym. I don't know where I got the energy from but I do know most of those old days I barely hit my step goals. What I know moving forward is that I need to get back into doing more than walking 10k steps and drinking 120+ fluid ounces of water. I know these are small steps but I need to start making larger ones since I've been doing a great job of maintaining these smaller ones. Also on the drive home today I thought about soda. I had really bad heartburn at work and a security officer suggested warm soda which led me to wonder when I had a soda last. I gave up soda in 2011. September 12th to be exact. And I think it lasted for almost 2 years without a drop. Slowly I'd integrate in here and there but nothing major. And honestly I'm still like that. I choose other drinks over soda but if I'm on the road traveling I usually take it because of the caffeine and fizz. So I have maybe 2-3 sodas every other month when I'm traveling to see M. Apparently I had a lot to think about on my half hour drive home. But all good thoughts moving back to me trying to figure out what will work for weight loss again because I don't like the number on the scale or the fact that my 30th is literally just around the corner. #no reblog
