Soft fruits in your Gn’T m’lady?

The last half dozen of these beautiful golden nuggets of lush yumminess from our first cane we purchased this year. . . Earlier this year my partner and I purchased a few soft fruit plants so that when we move we can put them straight in the ground from their pots and they’ll have a year ahead of themselves in grow time. . . Some soft fruits are notorious for not fruiting in their first year or two. Our Golden Raspberry is definitely a a bit of a show off. We noticed a few weeks ago some flowers and thought little of it. What we’ve ended up with is around 2 dozen beautiful, tart but sweet nuggets of raspberries that blow your mind. . . I wanted fruit that not only are expensive to purchase but that I also haven’t used very often, whether due to cost or just looking at it and thinking “Not Today Satan”. These golden raspberries are definitely in both categories. I am really glad I’ve done it though. It may be late in the season and completely unexpected but my golden raspberry canes are fruiting!!! Only a couple more days and the first ones will be ready. I honestly can’t wait it’s so very exciting!!! I’m loving the process of growing my own fruits and herbs.
