A/n: So! This is the first one shot of many to come. It’s going to go through your life as the adoptive child of Han and Leia! It’s going to be a series which I’ll try to keep gender neutral but if I come across one that I intend to make specific I’ll do a female and a male version. This will eventually be a Poe Dameron love story! There will be plenty of one shots between the reader and Poe but also plenty more that will focus on just the reader and their story! Also, there will be some one shots that you should read to understand others and I’ll indicate which ones those are on the Masterlist with ***... to explain more you’ll have to read those to understand the ones that come AFTER them but NOT BEFORE it. I really hope it makes sense and it should once I get more posted and have the Masterlist going. Let me know if you wanna be tagged! Also feel free to request a specific scene you wanna see! Also, I really love this gif!
Main Masterlist - Series Masterlist
You were petrified. The world moved on around you but you ignored it all and sat on the dirty ground leaning against random building in a semi-empty alleyway. There were a few homeless people accompanying you but they left you alone. You ignored them as well.
You hugged your knees to your chest and rested your chin on top of them. You stared at the wall across from you but you weren’t really seeing it. You were so lost in your mind that you weren’t in the alleyway but back in your home.
The home you grew up in. The home where you saw your parents and older sister get murdered in. The home you barely escaped with your life. You thought about how your parents would joke about you being the champion of hide-and-go-seek. You were so good you managed to hide the entire time the intruders were in your home. When they left, you weren’t far behind.
You were terrified they’d come back for you. So, you left your family and ran to the streets. You think you told someone what had happened as you cried but you don’t remember. You wonder if their bodies have been found yet or if anybody is looking for you. You doubt the latter though.
It’s been days, or maybe it was weeks, since the tragedy. You were only five years old but you managed to take care of yourself. You hid anywhere you could when you needed to sleep and stole what you needed to eat. You’ve been cursed at and chased away many times but you always got what you wanted and you always managed to get away.
You were covered in dirt, your feet have scratches and blisters, and you clothes are tattered and worn. You blend in perfectly with the other orphaned children and the homeless. Most people didn’t spare you a second glance.
Until one did.
It’s a boy who stops beside you. He’s a few years older but still far too young to be without an adult. He’s also too clean and too well cared for to be homeless or orphaned.
You don’t see him until you notice the red apple in his hand. He’s moved from beside you to in front of you. His grip around the apple is loose and you know you can take it. The rumble in your stomach encourages you.
There’s a reason you’re able to steal so well and get away with it so often. You have a gift. A gift that made you sister jealous of you but now she’s dead and you’re using it to survive. Your mother called it the Force.
You use it to take the apple from his hand. Once the fruit is in yours you jump up and dart away. You only get a few feet before the apple is snatched from your hand. You spin around, ready to fight for the fruit, when you realize the boy never moved. Then it clicks. He has the Force too.
You never met anybody else with your gift. You thought you had been the only one. It amazed you. For the first time since your world changed you snapped out of the funk you were trapped in. You finally focused on the present and what was in front of you instead of remembering the past and trying to survive.
The boy holds the apple out in his flat palm. Your eyes go from it to the boy. He doesn’t say anything for a moment, just watches you.
“Take it,” He says, in a soft and calm voice. You’re nervous but you lift your hand and bring the apple back. Wanting to see him use your gift you mimic what he had done.
“Take it,” You repeat. The boy’s lip quirks just a smidge before he does as told. The two of you continue this for a few moments.
This is how his parents find the two of you. They’re both relieved and focused on the boy. You deduct that he had run off without them and they had struggled to find him. It’s only when he points you out that their eyes land on you.
“Oh, hello,” The woman says gently. You look at her. You know instantly that she has the gift as well. It’s radiating off of her. You don’t get scared. The aurora around her is so welcoming and friendly. It reminds you of your mother.
Once the thought crosses your mind you burst into tears and run towards her. She quickly accepts you in her arms. It doesn’t take long for her to realize you’re all alone. She lifts you in her arms and turns to the man.
“No,” He says instantly. The woman doesn’t say anything and you snuggle into the crook of her neck. She holds you tighter. A few seconds later and the man sighs defeatedly. “Fine,” He claps the boy on the back and before you know it the four of you are leaving the alley.
You look up and notice them taking you to the largest ship you’ve ever seen. Your eyes widen in wonder and your jaw drops at it.
Then a large beast comes out of nowhere and roars. You squeal and hide in the woman’s neck. You begin to cry again which leads to her comforting you.
“Chewie!” The woman scolds. “Was that necessary?” The hairy ‘Chewie’ scoffs. You hesitate to sneak a look. “Don’t be scared of this fuzzball, he won’t hurt you,” She promises softly. “This is Chewie,” She introduces. You look at him and he tilts his head at you. You give him a small wave and he roars again but it’s softer which makes you smile.
“And this is the Falcon,” The man says, motioning to his ship.
“And more importantly,” The woman says a little louder. The man shrugs not understand that their names should be introduced before the ships. “This is Han, I’m Leia and that’s our son Ben,” You look from him to her to the boy.
Ben looks at you curiously but doesn’t smile when you send him one. The five of you walk onto the Falcon. Han and Chewie disappear. Leia sets you down on a cushioned seat.
“Can you tell me your name, sweetheart?” Leia asks, softly. You don’t respond. She offers you a motherly smile before tucking some hair behind your eat. “It’s going to be ok,” She promised. “You’re not alone anymore,”
She grabs a nearby blanket and wraps it around your shoulders before walking away to find you and Ben some food. This leaves you and the boy alone. You glance at him to find him staring at you. You hold his gaze.
He then pulls out the apple and holds it out to you. You smile using the force to take it. He smiles when you bite into it. You send the smile back to him. He stands and moves to sit beside you.
“Y/n,” You whisper. He looks at you before nodding.
Anonymous said: could you do some poe x solo!reader where she tells him about kylo being her brother
Poe left with BB8 on a mission to collect intelligence regarding the whereabouts of Luke Skywalker, your uncle. A day after his scheduled return when you get word that he was captured by the First Order. You’re struck with fear and worry, fretting over how your family could be lost. It is then you get word that Poe Dameron somehow made it back and is healing from his wounds.
“Where is he?!”
“Who?”
“Dameron, Poe Dameron!”
“He’s been logged, but we’re only letting ranking officials in to see-” You flashed your credentials at the nurse, whose eyes widened at the sight. “Oh! Lieutenant Solo!”
“Which room?”
“Here, follow me,” the nurse said, quickly moving out from behind the desk.
Her calmness and steady steps infuriated you. Your heart beat wildly in your chest and your pace was nearing a swift jog. Panic still held you in a tight choke hold; just as tight as it had been when your mother told you of Poe’s return. The moment after she told you, you made a mad dash to the medbay, pushing past anyone that stood in your way.
“He’s in poor condition,” the nurse said, breaking you from your thoughts. “He’s been drifting in and out of consciousness. But he is stable.”
“How can he be stable but unconsciousness?”
As you asked, you quickened your pace. A new wave of desperation fell over you. You needed to see Poe. You needed to see and learn what had happened; though you were scared to find out. And scared too see how poor his condition truly was.
“Well, it’s difficult to explain, really. He had a high burst of adrenaline, which got him here but then it crashed and -here’s his room- but, as I said, it crashed when-”
You ignored the nurse’s attempt to explain the medical reasoning for Poe’s condition. Though, when you saw him, part of you wanted to know what made him look so small. For as long as you had known Poe, loved Poe, he had been larger than life. He had been strong, with a smile and presence and took a chunk out of any room. It took strength to hold on as he was, but he looked as if the galaxy had chewed up him and spat him out.
“Poe…”
You walked over to his bedside, your footfalls falling into a beat that nearly matched the steady beeping of the vitals monitor. His tanned skin was pale and bruised in places. Cuts on his cheeks and one across the bridge of his nose made your stomach twist. He had been tortured, beaten, but the rise and fall of his chest was a reminder that he was alive. Perhaps that meant that your worst fears were fruitless, left unfounded.
You reached a shaking hand out to grab Poe’s. The flesh of his hand was still warm despite the coldness of the medbay. The limpness of his fingers was startling as you intertwined yours with his. You didn’t dare squeeze for fear of somehow waking him from his much needed rest. You did not move a muscle; not even when another nurse brought in a chair for you to sit in. Still as a pilotless fighter, you stayed standing by Poe’s bedside.
Time passed around you and the silent Poe. You weren’t sure as to how much time had passed until the door to his room hissed open.
“Y/N.”
You turned and met your mother’s gaze. Leia’s brown eyes were sad, glued to the scene before her. She saw your joined hands and lingered in the doorway, knowing that you wanted to be the first to be with Poe when he woke. Though, in the moment, you wanted answers.
“Did he do this?”
“It’s impossible to tell.”
“There’s no Force signature or something?” You were grasping for the right words, “there has to be some way to tell, to know that...”
“If you had finished your trying with your uncle, you would know that the Force doesn’t quite work like that. It’s not like a ship leak you can trace unless it’s left on purpose.” You squeezed your eyes shut out at Leia’s words. You shut them to control your anger; and to block the tears that threatened to spill out and over.
“If I had finished my training I would be dead,” you replied, “or worse: I’d be like Ben.”
When you opened your eyes, you met Leia’s gaze. Her mouth was slightly open in shock. You hadn’t said your brother’s name in so long. Even now, with his name said and hanging in the air of the room, it felt like a ghost. A tear slipped down your cheek at the thought.
“Tell me when he wakes,” Leia said softly, “after you’ve talked.”
“Gener-Mom,” you began to say, taking a step forward. But Leia was already gone. You bit your bottom lip to keep it from quivering as you listened to her walk down the medbay hall. Eventually, her footfalls grew quiet and you couldn’t feel her presence nearby.
Coldness left in her wake reminded you of the chill you felt the day you lost your brother. It was as if the entire galaxy had been filled with the cold snow of Hoth, only it was invisible. Every step and breath was harder, heavier. You were younger then, but you knew what the cold meant. It was darkness, the very thing you family had fought and was fighting. Ben had succumbed to it and left you, your family, lost in the snow.
“Crying over me?”
You gasped Poe’s name and turned your attention away from the now empty doorway. Despite the evident pain he was in, Poe was smiling at you. His grin coaxed you into moving to be as close to him as the medical cot and equipment in the room would allow. You smiled and, when you did, you felt the wetness that had gathered on your cheeks. Quickly, you wiped them away. You hadn’t even known you were crying.
“H-hey you,” you stammered. At the shakiness of your voice, Poe’s smile fell. He shifted in his cot, pressed his back against the small, metal headrest.
“I’m okay,” he said, giving your hand a squeeze. “C’mere.”
When Poe lifted his free hand and pulled his blankets up to make room for you, you felt your entire heart lurch with relief. Carefully, you clambered into the cot with Poe and wrapped your arms around him. You maneuvered around the tubes and wires connected to his flesh, fearful that knocking them would alert the medical staff of his lucid state. Selfishly, you wanted Poe to yourself, even if it was only for a little while.
“You know I couldn’t not see you again,” Poe said softly, pressing a kiss to your forehead. “I promised you that I would be back.”
“I know,” you whimpered. All of your strength and stoicness was gone now, held loosely, but warm, in Poe’s arms.
“What’s wrong then? Tell me,” Poe’s voice had lost it’s signature, confident edge. Exchanged it for a tone of deep concern. He was worried about you.
You craned your neck so you could look up at him from where you head rested against his shoulder. His brown eyes were darker under the synthetic lights of the room. With a slightly trembling hand, you reached up and trailed your fingers along his jaw. His already half-lidded eyes closed at the contact. In a way that was more longing than sensual, you brushed your lip along Poe’s full bottom lip. The sigh he released at the touch kissed the skin of your hand.
“You’re still really good at distracting me,” Poe murmured. A bit of lightness had returned to his voice which relieved the ache in your chest.
“I couldn’t distract myself from worrying about you.”
Poe opened his eyes and, when you thumb brushed against the corner of his mouth, he pressed the softest of kisses to it. A smile crept it’s way onto your lips and you felt your stomach twist. Despite wanting to savor the moment, bask in the fact that your love was back by your side and alive, you also wanted an answer. No, you needed an answer.
“Poe….who did this to you?”
His gaze fell from yours to his lap. A shuddering, haggard breath shook in Poe’s chest. The dash of contentment that washed over him disappeared in an instant. You shifted in his arms so that you could look into his eyes. When Poe finally met your gaze again, you could see the fear that was nestled there.
“Kylo Ren.”
Coldness returned to wrap its arms around you, a chilling reminder of the darkness that threatened to engulf your family. It had nearly destroyed Poe. Your eyes grew suddenly misty as you looked into his eyes. At the sight, he reached to hold your hold in his hand.
“Hey, I’m alright,” you pressed your face into the meat of his palm and closed your eyes. Poe, somewhat startled by your tears, continued to comfort you. “He’s more interrogation droid than man. He got to me, but it’s nothing we can’t fight. Once we find BB8, we’ll be ahead of him, alright? We’ll be okay.”
“No,” you whispered as you opened your eyes. “We’ll never be done with him.”
“Baby,” Poe said softly, “what do you mean?”
You looked into his eyes, savored the feeling of his concern, his love for you. After you told him the cold truth, he might not look at you the same.
“He’s my brother.”
Poe’s eyes widened but he did not recoil as you originally thought he would. His hand remained pressed against your cheek, with his thumb rubbing soothingly against the skin. When the silence stretched on, you pulled away from his touch. You readied yourself to leave in a rush; a trait that your mother said you got from your father.
“Kylo Ren is-
“Ben Solo,” you finished for him. You snuck a glance at Poe only to find he was still looking at you. Despite the shock in his expression, there were still hints of affection in his gaze.
Poe let out a heavy sigh and laid back in his cot. “And I thought meeting your father would be intense.”
Poe’s quip was enough to cut the heavy tension that had rested in the air around you. At his words, a sharp, bitter laugh fell from your lips. You had to place a hand on your chest to keep from tumbling into a fit. When you managed to collect yourself, you looked back at Poe. There was a slight smile on his lips as he stared back at you.
“Too soon?”
“How can you...how can you smile and make jokes right now?” A small flame of anger burned in your stomach. How could he be so light at a time like this?
Then the fire fizzled out under a wash of pure admiration. You loved Poe for that very reason. For, whenever it felt like the world, the galaxy, was crashing down around you, he could lift it up again. He could lift you up, save you from the drowning depths of your mind. Poe could do it so naturally, so effortlessly, and you were lost in him.
“Because your laugh heals all wounds,” Poe teased as he leaned towards you. He took your face in his hand and held your gaze. “Because I love you, no matter what, and I know you get trapped in here,” he tapped the tip of his index finger against your forehead, “and I want you here, with me, Lieutenant Solo. Can you stay with me?”
Without hesitation you replied, “always.”
Poe smiled at your answer and leaned in. For the first time in cycles, Poe’s lips have found yours. Warmth spread to every nerve ending in your body and the coldness melted away.
Summary: (Y/N) Solo is new to the D’Qar base and meets a certain pilot.
A/N: This is an idea I’d been toying with for a while, the introduction is way too long but I couldn’t bear to cut any of it because I’m kind of obsessed with Solo!Reader now lol (apologies for any spelling or grammar mistakes)
Warning: this fic is 18+ for smut! (also this is my first time publishing like genuine smut so apologizes for how awkward it is)
To say you were upset would be the understatement of the universe. You were furious. After years of training and countless successful missions, your mother had decided to abruptly transfer you back to her base, on D’Qar.
You’d grown up traveling around the galaxy thanks to your parents. But your mother had sent you to a resistance base in the outer rim, on Dantar when you were a teenager so you could train as a pilot, far out of the reach of your brother and the rest of the First Order.
But now your mother wanted you back with her, on D’Qar, so you could help her. After what? Six? Seven years of seeing your mom only once or twice a year when she came to meet with the vice admiral who ran the base where you were stationed. Seven years of her refusing to meet your eyes all because your brother had betrayed everything your family stood for. She had been punishing you for what he had done, whether she was willing to admit it or not.
She wanted you back. And Leia Organa was the general. So you had no choice to follow her orders.
Lucky for you, one of your close friends was also being transferred with you. Rose had been filing for a transfer to D’Qar for years so she could be on the same base as her sister, and you’d told your mother that if she wanted you on the transport that there needed to be a spot for your best friend too.
That was why both you and Rose were currently being pulled along at the wrist by Rose’s sister, Paige, as she told you all about how the cantina near the base had the best band on the planet — and how she couldn’t wait to introduce you to some of the other pilots.
Your trio strolled up to the bar where you each ordered drinks before a group of people seated at a booth in the corner of the cantina started calling Paige over to them.
“Hey, guys!” Paige said cheerfully as she hugged most of the members of the group, “This is my sister, Rose, that I’ve been telling you about, and of course-
“-(Y/N/N),” You say, cutting Paige off before she can tell them your full name. If there was one thing you knew for sure it was that no one likes to party with the General’s daughter, at least not before they get to know you. Withholding your full name for the time being seemed like the best move, especially since you were looking to have a properly wild night, which was much easier when people didn’t know who you were.
Everyone introduced themselves to you and Rose and you sat down with them. Paige and her friends took turns telling embarrassing stories about each other while you and Rose played the role of the attentive listeners.
As the night wore on, and you had lost count of how many drinks you’d had, people began to get up to go dance. And you were all but ready to turn in for the night when you heard laughing and cheers from a few members of the group who were dancing nearby. You turned towards the commotion to see what could only be described as quite possibly the most beautiful man you’d ever seen.
Eventually, after the man had made his greetings to the people who were out on the dance floor he came over to the table and hugged Paige.
“I don’t think I’ve seen you around,” The man said as his eyes finally landed on you.
“I just got transferred to this base,” you shouted over the music, “my friends call me (Y/N/N),” You tell him as you stuck your hand.
“Poe Dameron,” He introduces himself as he envelopes your hand in his own.
“Oh, I know who you are,” You say with a slight chuckle. Commander Dameron was infamous, you’d heard of him, even on Dantar.
“Best pilot in the resistance,” He quips with a smirk.
You coughed slightly on the drink you’d just taken a sip of. Was this guy seriously so pompous that he would compliment himself? Now you understood all of the rumors, with a face and attitude like that, you were sure that Poe could get anyone in the resistance he wanted.
You cleared your throat before turning back to Poe, “You know, someone once told me that (Y/N) Solo was the best pilot in the resistance.”
“General Organa’s daughter? Pfft, please, she’s just some kid,” He told you with a smug grin, “Just because she’s the General’s daughter and her dad’s Han Solo doesn’t mean she actually knows anything about flying a proper ship.”
Out of the corner of your eye you saw Rose and Paige silently watching your conversation, and the warning look that Rose was giving you. But you didn’t care, you were going to get him back for that comment somehow.
“Do you wanna dance?” You asked as you placed your hand on his forearm.
He nodded with a warm smile before taking your hand in his and leading him towards the thumping music.
As you danced with Poe you slowly began to relax. Maybe this transfer wouldn’t be so bad after all. You let yourself forget everything, the war, your family, all of the expectations that your mother had for you. You forgot them all as you snaked your arms around Poe’s neck and pulled him close to you.
You began to move in sync with one another. His eyes locked in on your own as you inched closer and closer together. Eventually, you couldn’t bear the tension anymore and you kissed him.
You pressed your lips against his as you pushed your fingers up into his thick curls. You pulled slightly, causing him to groan into your mouth. You smirked against his mouth as your tongues tangled together.
Your head spins, and you’re not sure if it's from all the drinking, or the way Poe’s soft lips begin to trail down to the crook of your neck and suck on that sweet spot.
“We should-” Poe mutters against your skin, but you’re already a step ahead of him as you grab his hand from its place on the small of your back and lead him off the dance floor.
You winked at Rose as you tugged Poe by the hand out of the Cantina. You were heading towards your new quarters but Poe seemed to have other intentions because before you were even two steps out the door he had you pushed up against the wall of the building as he feverishly pressed his lips against yours. His breath was hot on your face, his entire body was pressed against yours, only your shins were left to face the biting chill that the night had to offer you.
Eventually, the two managed to break apart.
“Now do you wanna go back to my quarters?” You asked, slightly breathlessly, as you looked up at the dark-haired man.
“Lead the way,” He said with a wolfish grin as you grabbed his hand once again and headed back towards the base.
It took you far longer to get back to your room than it had taken to go to the cantina at the beginning of the night. Mostly because every once and a while Poe had decided it had been far too long since he’d kissed you and the would pull you back into him, distracting you for a moment (or several moments).
Finally, you made it to your room, you were giggling as you finally stumbled through the doorway with Poe’s lips still attached to your neck.
“Woah, how’d you get a room this nice?” He said as he finally looked around.
“Oh, didn’t you know? I’m actually very important,” You tell him with a wry smile as you sit down on the untouched, completely made bed, “Do you want to help me break it in?” You ask as you nod down at the mattress beneath you.
“I’d love nothing more.”
His hands are on you before you can register it. His fingers are pulling at your shirt as he pulls the fabric over your head. You get to work on his belt as he pulls at your bra and palms your breasts.
Poe’s eyes bore into your own as you shrug his jacket off his shoulders and he helps you make quick work of his shirt. You don’t say anything as he tugs your pants down your legs and lets them pool at your ankles.
“Fuck,” You groan as Poe’s fingers finally make contact with your aching core, brushing against your slit over the thin piece of cloth still forming a barrier between you two. His lips make slow work from your knee to your inner thigh, leaving a trail of wet, open mouthed kisses in their wake.
“Please,” You mutter, your voice barely above a whisper as Poe’s fingers continue to tease your clit through your underwear.
Poe smirks up at you before hooking his fingers around the hem of your underwear and finally pulling them down. The cold air hit your already wet cunt and you had to stop yourself from gasping.
Your breath hitched and you can’t help but arch your back off the bed as his mouth attached to your clit. For a moment a thought forms in your mind about how maybe Poe’s cockiness is derived from the godly things he can do with his mouth but then he’s pressing two fingers into you and any coherent thoughts fly out of your brain just as an embarrassingly loud moan flies out of your mouth.
You get hot, so deeply hot as the elastic in your center begins to coil. You’re already close to your climax and Poe shows no signs of stopping.
“I-I’m gonna-”
“Come for me,” He mumbles into your thigh as he looks up at you, and sees just how close you really are.
And all it takes are those sinful words to come out of his mouth, dripping like honey as he looks directly at you.
Your orgasm comes fast and hard as your thighs tremble around Poe’s head, pressing slightly against either side of his neck as he coaxes you through your orgasm. You breathe out a shaky breath before propping yourself up on your elbows and getting a better look at Poe.
He pulls himself up to you and presses a kiss to your lips as you eagerly kiss him back, licking your own come off his mouth as your hand snakes down his torso and into his pants. He’s already hard, and as your fingers begin to stroke around him, over the head, and then back down. Poe grounds in your ear as he presses himself down onto your hand, trying to gain more pressure.
“You’re awfully needy,” You tease as your fingers continue their ministrations.
“Don’t-don’t be a fucking tease,” he grumbles as his hands begin to trail up and down your sides, desperate to feel more of you.
You smirk as you pull your hand out of Poe’s pants and he can’t help but groan in frustration before you make quick work of pulling his pants and underwear down his legs and push them off and throw them on the floor.
Throwing your legs around his thighs you push him down onto the mattress as you straddle him. You brace one arm against his chest as you use the other to guide yourself as you slowly lower yourself down onto his cock.
You’re not sure you’re still breathing as just the feeling of being so full brings up so close to another orgasm already.
You slowly lift yourself up and then back down, easing yourself into a rhythm as you fuck yourself on his cock.
“Fuck baby, you’re so good,” Poe hums as he looks up at you as you bounce on his cock, certain he’s never seen something so ethereal and unbearably attractive.
Poe can’t help but press his thumbs into your hips as he grabs onto your waist and rolls over on top of you, taking control before he begins to relentlessly pound you into the mattress.
“I’m so fucking close, so fucking close,” Poe groans, “Where do you want it?”
“Inside,” You huff as you feel yourself teetering on the precipice of your own orgasm.
And then that thing deep inside you snaps yet again. You think Poe said something, but you can’t hear him over the sound of blood rushing in your ears. Your eyes roll back as Poe continues to thrust into you with stuttering pushes as you ride out your orgasm.
Once you’ve both come (somewhat) back to your senses and your movements slow to a stop Poe unceremoniously pulls out of you before flopping down next to you on the bed.
You sighed, “That was…”
Poe smirks, “Amazing?”
“Don’t let the compliment go to your head, your ego’s already far too big,” You tell him as he wraps his arm around your shoulder and pulls you into his chest.
You feel Poe’s fingers playing with your hair as you slowly drift in and out of sleep, eventually you turn your head up to look at him with a teasing smile, “You can fall asleep, y’know, I’ll be here tomorrow.”
“I want to look at you just a while longer,” Poe replies, causing you to roll your eyes but you curl into him and finally close your eyes and let him lull you to sleep.
-
Poe woke up the next morning, in your bed, only to find you long gone, he suspected that you’d had to be up early to start your first day on the job.
He quickly pulled on his discarded clothes and made his way to his own quarters where he quickly changed into fresh clothes before making his way to the command center for his meeting with General Organa, a meeting he was already running late for.
“Commander Dameron, I want to introduce you to my daughter, (Y/N),” Leia said as she beckoned the pilot over. Poe made his way over to the General but the last thing he was prepared for was for you to turn around and smile at him.
The look on his face was priceless, you wish you had a holo of that moment so you could treasure it forever.
“Do you two know each other?” Leia asked after a beat as she took in both of your expressions.
“We met last night,” You tell your mother innocently, “At the cantina, Rose’s sister took us so she could introduce us to her friends.”.
Smoothing over the awkwardness quickly you turn back to Poe and stick out your hand, “It’s nice to officially meet you, Commander Dameron, I hear we’ll be working together quite closely,”

“Han’s ship…” Rey said, fully noticing for the first time the fire hazard that was the Millennium Falcon. Poe huffed, looking away with his hands on his hips. He saw BB-8 roll towards him, smiling at the sight of his droid before he registered his tell-tale beeping.
“What’d you do to the droid?”
“What’d you do to the Falcon?” Rey asked incredulously, gesturing at the large ship.
“The Falcon’s in a lot better shape than he is.”
“BB-8’s not on fire.” She countered, frowning at his argumentative nature.
“What’s left of him isn’t on fire.” He corrected, raising his eyebrow. BB-8 beeped unhelpfully in the background.
“Y/N is not going to be happy.” Rey folding her arms. Poe paled very noticeably, swallowing the lump in his throat.
“You told her?” he all but whined.
“What the hell happened?” You shouted across the base, storming towards the returned rebels.
“Speak of the devil.” Poe huffed, rolling his eyes.
“Dad’s ship… what did you do, Dameron?” you demanded, crossing your arms and tapping your foot expectantly. Poe opened his mouth indignantly. “Glad to see you home Chewie, Finn.”
Poe let out a humourless laugh, throwing his hands out; his frustration was growing. Rey and Finn greeted each other whilst you and Poe stared each other down.
“You know what, sweetheart-“ Poe began angrily.
“Call me that again. I dare you.”
“Oh really? What are you gonna do, Sweetheart? Force choke me or something? Turn to the dark side like your big brother?”
“You’re a sorry excuse for a commander, you know that Dameron? You can’t keep just flying first and thinking second-“
Chewie’s roaring interrupted you.
“You lightspeed skipped?” Rey asked, turning to Poe. Poe rolled his eyes.
“Yeah, well it got us back here, didn’t it?”
“Poe, the compressor’s down.”
“Oh, I know, I was there.”
“Every time.” Finn sighed.
You cast a glance over his shoulder, glad that the Falcon was being seen to. You couldn’t help but think, though: lightspeed skipping? That was technical stuff. You remembered one time with your Dad, when you were young, smuggling something or other off Kijimi; he’d told you about how the local spice runners lightspeed skipped.
“You can’t lightspeed skip the Falcon!” Rey insisted, looking to you for help. Poe followed her eyes.
“What, Sweetheart? Nothing to contribute?”
You sent him a dry, distasteful look.
“Nerf herder.” You muttered. He heard you and sent you his own dirty look.
“Alright, guys,” Finn begged, tired of the arguing. “We just landed, okay?”
Poe pushed towards the base, past Rey and Finn. You were still thinking about those lightspeed skips.
“What happened?” Rey asked as you all followed Poe.
“Bad news.” Poe’s frustration was palpable even without the force. “That’s what happened.”
“No spy?” She continued.
BB-8 rattled around by your feet. You smiled at him; you’d always had a soft spot for that droid.
“No. Spy.” Poe said. You rolled your eyes; he was so helpful.
“Did we make contact with the spy, or not?” Rey was getting frustrated, too confused about Poe’s bad mood to be patient as well.
“There’s a mole in the first order and they sent us a message.” Finn explained, looking from you to Rey as he spoke.
BB-8 made a series of beeps that you laugh. “You dropped a tree on him?” you asked Rey, an amused smile settling on your lips. Poe frowned at you. Rey exhaled sharply, turning to Poe.
“He blew both sub-alternators!”
Poe gestured to the ship angrily as Finn stood opposite you, between Rey and Poe arguing. You shot him a sympathetic smile.
“Well, maybe you should’ve been out there with us.”
“Guys.” Finn tried to interject, failing miserably.
“You know I want to be out there with you-“
“Yeah, but you’re not. You’re here training. With her.” He didn’t even look at you as he pointed. “For what?”
There was a significant pause.
“You’re the best fighter we have. We need you. Out there, not here.” Poe huffed again, turning to speak to one of the droid technicians about reconditioning an R2 unit. Rey and Finn stared at each other for a moment; you turned to leave, knowing when you weren’t required.
“It’s true.” Finn said as you began to walk away. He caught your eye, tilting his head a little as if debating how true.
After an eventful day, the ship bay was empty and so, you decided it was the perfect place to take refuge for your meditation. You sat cross-legged on the floor, trying to clear your mind of everything going on around you. You tried to forget about your brother, the Supreme Leader, and how he killed your Father and how there was war literally all around you and how annoying Poe Dameron was, just staring at you across the hangar. Wait, what? You lost your concentration. Both you and the tools around you hit the ground with a thud.
You groaned, peeling your eyes open to see Poe. When you met his eye, he grunted and carried on to his ship. You huffed. You couldn’t remember when the arguing with Poe started, really. It was like one day you both just decided you hated each other. Your Mother, rather unexpectedly, found it extremely funny; watching her daughter and her favourite commander fighting like schoolchildren was one of her only brief solaces from the war itself. Thinking about it, you remembered the lightspeed skipping and stood up, dusting off your clothes and approaching his ship. He made no effort to acknowledge your presence as he tinkered with it.
“I’ve been thinking about lightspeed skipping.” You announced, watching him drop his hand and groan lamely.
“Not you, too.” He looked tired. “Rey’s been on me about this all day and honestly, neither of you were there so whatever you want to say about it, fine. That’s fine with me. But you weren’t-“
“I’ve never met a pilot, a proper pilot, that’s known how to do that.”
He frowned, suddenly uneasy.
“I’m sure Han Solo knew how-“
“My Dad was a smuggler and a criminal.” You reminisced, dragging your fingertips across the nose of Poe’s X-wing. “He was also the best pilot in the galaxy… and even he didn’t know how to lightspeed skip.”
Poe looked very uncomfortable.
“Spice runners tend to, though.” You said softly, flicking your eyes up to meet his. You knew you had him there.
“Wow,” you said as he made a beeline down the ladder he was perched on. “Poe Dameron, a spice runner-“
“I was-“
“A spice runner, yes, I understand that now-“
“Look-“
“The others don’t know, do they?”
He didn’t answer.
You mused for a moment before a smile grew on your face.
“Is it bad that I like you more now?”
He frowned. You didn’t say anything else for a moment. His face changed to something brighter.
“More? I didn’t think you liked me at all.”
“You’re annoying, that’s why.”
“I’m not-“
“You’re very annoying.”
“And you’re not?” He raised an eyebrow. “I’m a force user” he mocked. “I’m so much better than you because I can move rocks with my mind.”
You let out a laugh in mock offence.
“You’re not much better, flyboy. You’re always ‘pew, pew’ first and ‘wait, hold on’ second.”
“Oh, is that right?”
You both looked at each other for a moment. He chuckled.
“Do you remember why we hate each other?”
“Nope.” You replied, smiling.
“Well then,” He threw the wrench in his hand to the ground and wiped his hand on his trousers. Then, he offered it to you. “I’m Poe Dameron: the best pilot in the rebellion-“
“Ex spice runner.” You added, biting the inside of your cheek. He nodded, conceding.
“Ex spice runner. And you are?”
“Y/N Organa-Solo: force user-“
“Professional asshole.”
You pursed your lips, taking his hand.
“Professional asshole.”
You looked at each other for a few moments then, forgetting you were holding hands, forgetting that only fifteen minutes before you were mortal enemies.
“I think we’ll be good friends.” He said, smiling.
“Friends?” You narrowed your eyes, tilting your head to the side.
“Maybe not.” He shrugged. Neither of you let go. “What would you say if I said I wanted to kiss you right now?”
“I’d tell you that’s a copout. Say it or don’t.”
You watched him wet his lips, lifting your gaze to meet his eyes; eyes also preoccupied with your lips. He raised an eyebrow. A silent question.
Being so at one with the force, you’d think you’d have expected the way Poe then lunged at you, cupping your face in his hands. You didn’t. It was welcomed, though. Your hands looped around his neck as he rested you against the X-wing, which only slightly rattling with the force of his movement. His hand trailed down your hip, pulling you closer as you kissed. You felt his tongue against yours and smiled. Your smile only grew when he pushed you a little harder into the ship, the ladder he’d been using clattering to the ground. He smiled against your lips too and you thought about why in Kriff’s name it had taken you so long to get here.
A throat being cleared from the centre of the bay grabbed your attention, you and Poe breaking apart to see who was there. Your mother stood there, Rey on her right, both of them smiling at you. You went to shove Poe off you but he was already moving, standing with you, shoulder to shoulder, in front of General Organa and the galaxy’s only hope. You felt your face heat up. You could only hear the sound of both of you breathing, trying to catch your breath. You felt like children being scolded.
“I’m glad you two finally got the memo.” Leia said smugly. Rey bit her lip, looking down bashfully to hide her amusement.
“Yes, General.” Poe said, swallowing and lifting his chin, no doubt trying to recover some semblance of dignity.
“But, maybe somewhere else would be the best place for this?”
She looked at you pointedly. You nodded.
“Yes, General.” Poe said again as they walked away, leaving you two standing there.
You didn’t say anything for a minute or two but you could feel Poe’s elation; he was seconds away from giggling like a little kid.
“Yes, General.” You mocked, turning to face him with a grin. He laughed breathlessly.
“Shut up.”
And then his hands were on your face and he was kissing you. Again.
prompt: “can i request a headcanon for being han solo's daughter 👉👈❤”
han had absolutely no idea how to raise a little girl
you learned how to fix parts of a ship before you could speak
your second language was Shyriiwook
you called chewbacca “uncle chewie” growing up, which he LOVED
chewie used to brush your hair
han was pretty protective over you
he trained you with a blaster pretty well
which came in handy since you saved his life on multiple occasions
but you’re the one who needs protection, huh
han is...sort of affectionate? sometimes he forgets he’s a dad
but his hugs always give you some reassurance
even though he wasn’t the most affectionate, high fives were his thing with you
especially the group hugs with chewie
you wanted to be close with ben growing up, but he went off to be a jedi while you aspired to be a pilot
“no, no way. i’m not letting you fly the falcon!”
“dad, pleaseee! i promise i’ll be careful!”
“end of discussion”
“oh, no it’s not! i’m the daughter of the galaxy’s best pilot! it’s my destiny!”
as you can tell, you have your father’s stubbornness
and the skywalker motivation
chewie takes your side a lot
much to your father’s dismay
“chewie, she can’t get everything she wants”
“grrrrrahhh”
“do not start with me!”
after your brother turned to the dark side, your family was pretty much destroyed
your dad didn’t want to participate in the resistance, so he went back to his “old job”
you followed
it was educational
you and your dad were pissed when the falcon got stolen
“maybe i should have....stayed with the resistance....”
“yeah, maybe you should have.”
you did not enjoy your fathers sarcasm
but sooner or later he let you fly
it wasn’t the falcon, but it was something
“bet i’ll be a better pilot than you”
“in your dreams, kid”
game night
chewie always wins
actually, you have won a total of two times
once when you were 8 and you cried when he beat you, he played again and let you win
another time you were having a really bad day and he wanted you to feel better
but you learned that it’s for the best that he wins
han sees so much of your mother and him in you that it kind of terrifies him
he wanted you to have a better life than what they got, but since your brother kind of messed that all up, you were heading in the same direction as dear old dad
“hey, hey dad!”
“what is it?”
“the falcon!”
and this started your new journey, taking you to a few stops around the galaxy and back to the resistance
you watched ben kill your dad
chewie shielded your eyes
you were inconsolable
you just wanted to go down there and give ben a piece of your mind, but chewie was under strict orders from your dad to keep you “out of trouble”
you decided to honor your dad by joining the resistance and getting your brother back
Being Leia and Han’s Daughter would include (and Ben’s sister)...
( i love these gifs so much)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+ You are about 2 years younger than Ben, so you two are close
+ Growing up with him would be so fun
+ Despite the fact that he calls you his baby sister all the time
+ And since Ben doesn’t like to socially interact with many kids his age, you two are best friends
+ And it reminds Leia so much of her and Luke
+ Han takes you guys on smuggling runs, much to Leia’s dismay, although she knows Han would never let anything happen to you two
+ And Lando is practically you guys’ uncle, and he’s often over for dinner or just to spend the day
+ You and your brother have a strong force connection (not a strong as him and Rey’s though)
+ So, Leia and Han see this and send you off to train with Uncle Luke at the same time
+ Meeting Luke’s new padawans and him being your guys’ teacher is just so fun
+ When you both build your light sabers, Ben’s turns out to be a dazzling Blue, and yours turns out to be a striking Orange
+ But it all goes downhill when Ben starts being more closed off and not talking much to anyone, or even you
+ And then one day
+ “Y/N, there is something I have to tell you about Ben...I’m sure you feel it too.”
+ You take a deep breath, and with tears in your eyes, you confirm
+ “Uncle Luke, he’s... he’s not himself anymore. I know it” a deep breath. “And I don’t know what to do.”
+ It get progressively worse over the next few weeks
+ One day, you were meditating at the back of the temple at night
+ You smelled smoke and panicked
+ You turn around to see the Temple catching fire
+ You rushed to your quarters as fast as you could, and gathered your light saber and a few things in a bag
+ You ran out as fast as you could, looking for Ben
+ To only find Luke, who told you Ben had burned down the temple and has fled
+ Luke got you out of there as soon as possible, with a message to your parents
+ You hugged him one last time, promising to see him again one day
+ Before you know it, your back at home
+ And you start crying, and your mom brings you into her arms
+Your life was never the same, Ben was your best friend
+ Over the years, you see the relationship between your dad and your mom’s relationship crumble, because of all the unspoken words between them, and they had distanced themselves from each other
+ You help your mom form The Resistance, and become her second-in-command
+ You also lead Gold squadron, becoming the second best pilot in The Resistance, and being best friends with Poe
+ You continue harnessing your connection with the force, yet don’t sense your brother
+ And one day, Poe doesn’t come back from the mission that involved Poe getting the map that led to your Uncle Luke
+ Around that same time, you felt a shift in the Force
+ Your brother
+ He’s alive
+ It’s a weird sense of relief, as you haven’t seen him in years, neither has he tried to contact you
+ You are finally reunited with Uncle Chewwie and your dad on Takodana
+ You tush to them to give them a hug
+ Your mom, on the other hand, is more hesitant
+ You also happen to meet Finn and Rey
+ You are finally reunited with Poe
+ You where so worried
+ Against your mother’s wishes, you go with Chewwie, your dad, Finn and Rey to the mission on Starkiller base
+ But she respects your choice
+ Where you finally see your brother again
+ It’s You, Han and him on the bridge
+ The silence is so thick, you could cut it with a knife
+ He blinks in disbelief at you, with immense guilt
+ He tears up
+ “I-I thought you were dead”
+ You finally realized why he hadn't contacted you all these years
+ “I’m here Ben, I’m here”
+ But deep down you knew, he wasn’t Ben anymore
+ You watch as he has a talk with your father
+ Next thing you know, your brother’s blazing red light saber though your father
+ You let out a scream that makes your throat raw
+ You looked at him with anger and tears in you eyes, but decide not to fight him
+ You escaped with Chewwie, and save Finn and Rey from the Battle in the forest
+ When you get back to the rebel base, you cry as you tell your mom the news
+ She already knows, of course
+And she just comforts you and brings you into he arms
+ And you say your goodbyes to Poe and even Finn, who is in a coma now
+ And you got with Rey to find your Uncle
“I didn’t know there was this much green in the whole galaxy,” she’d said when you met her what felt like forever ago.
It broke your heart.
Your father later said that he could see it in your eyes. You’d spent your whole life travelling the galaxy, experiencing its every wonder, and there was Rey, who had never been off Jakku in her entire life.
You wanted, at that moment, to drag her back into the Millenium Falcon, point at a map, and tell her to pick a place, any place. More than anything, you wanted to show Rey every corner of the universe, every sand-free planet or moon that you could possibly find.
The pity the woman thought she saw in your eyes was much more than that; it was horror, despair at what she had missed.
You eventually settled for showing her Takodana and D’Qar, after your father was killed, but it never sat right with you. The more you got to know Rey and the longer the war dragged on, the more you wanted to give her the infinite freedom she so desperately deserved.
To put it simply, you wanted nothing less than to hand her the galaxy on a silver platter.
It wasn’t until the war was over that you finally had the opportunity to do so.
You and Rey were still travelling with Finn, Poe, Chewie, BB-8, and D-0, as you had since the end of the war. With their help, it was easy to surprise her.
Carefully, you led her down the Falcon’s boarding platform and onto solid ground. Poe had lovingly donated his jacket to be a blindfold, in order to keep Rey completely in the dark. Luckily, the Force wouldn’t tell her where she was-- it didn’t work like that.
“I’m not great with surprises,” she warned, gripping your arm tightly.
“You’ll love this one, I promise. Now, take off your shoes.”
“What?”
“Just trust me,” you laughed, having already discarded your own.
You watched with pure childlike glee as her feet met soft grass. She wiggled her toes about in the dirt, a smile coming to her face. Sure, D’Qar had gotten her used to grass rather than sand, but you were almost certain she’d never taken a moment to go barefoot in it.
“Grass?” She asked hesitantly. “Where are we?”
“Only the prettiest planet in the galaxy,” you teased, already reaching forward to pull the jacket from her face. “Welcome to Naboo.”
When the jacket came off, Rey found herself gaping-- as soon as she’d gotten used to the brightness of a sunny day on Naboo. You’d landed in the middle of a great, grassy field near the edge of a cliff. A waterfall tumbled over the edge of that cliff from a stream, a feature that Naboo was well known for. You were pretty sure Rey had never seen one of those-- something you had to correct.
“(Y/N)--” she breathed out, gawking. “I don’t-- I don’t know what to say.”
You laughed a little. “Neither did I, the first time my mom brought me here. I spent days exploring.”
“It’s so...alive,” she said, reaching down to feel the grass.
She meant in the Force, though even the least Force-sensitive person could probably see how alive it was. Naboo was an explosion of light and life, even for those not strong in the Living Force, and could be overwhelming for those who were.
“C’mon,” you called to her with a smile, holding out your hand. “I know the best place to take it all in.”
Her lips twitched up into a grin, one of the brightest you’d ever seen from her. Her eyes shined as she reached out, taking your hand in hers and squeezing it as she stood back up. With her free hand, Rey tucked a loose strand of hair behind her ear and opened her mouth to say something-- but a shout from the Falcon interrupted her.
“Have fun, lovebirds!” Poe called with a devilish smirk, waving the two of you onward.
You shot the man a rude gesture that made him cackle. Rey turned bright red, an adorable look on her, you thought, as Poe was dragged back into the ship by Finn, who chewed him out the whole way-- fondly, though.
(Bittersweetness struck you at the memory of your mother laughing her ass off at the fact that both of her children, blood or otherwise, were head over heels for Force-sensitives.)
Rolling your eyes, you dragged Rey along through the field at a near sprint. Her musical laughter in your ear made you run faster and hold her hand tighter. The breeze swept up both of your robes and hair, completely ruining your venerated Jedi facade that Rey had insisted upon since getting lightsabers, which you both wore on belts, though they swung wildly now. If your father could see you right now, he would be so, so proud. Uncle Luke would probably cry.
At the very edge of the cliff, by the waterfall, you came to a skidding stop with a bark of laughter.
“Now, this is gonna sound crazy--”
Rey scoffed. “You always sound crazy.”
“Aw, thanks,” you said, heavy with sarcasm before continuing. “Uncle Luke told me stories about Jedi during the war, how they’d jump off cliffs without a second thought. Ben and I spent weeks practising how to cushion our falls, just so we could be like the old Jedi.”
Her eyes were wide. “You what?”
“Yep! And now it’s your turn!” you declared.
“What? (Y/N)--”
Before she could panic, you grabbed her hand again. “We’ll jump together and I’ll stop the fall. You’ll be completely safe.”
She bit her lip. “You’re sure about this?”
“Completely,” you reassured her. “Do you trust me?”
Despite herself and her growing fear, Rey smiled. “I do.”
“Great! On three.”
“One.”
“Two.”
“Three!” the two of you shouted together, racing toward the edge of the cliff.
Rey was immediately screaming, out of terror at first, but as you tucked her against your side, holding her close against the resistance, the shriek turned into an exhilarated one. You let out a joyful whoop as you went down, Rey’s face buried in the crook of your neck, which only elated you further.
As the ground grew closer, you pulled on the Force and the two of you touched ground gently, as if you’d never fallen at all.
Rey didn’t pull away, but laughed gleefully. “That--” she gasped, breathless, “--was amazing.”
“Wasn’t it?” you asked, grinning. Then you pointed at the horizon ahead. “But the view’s even better.”
She followed your gesture and froze.
You were standing on another lush, grass-covered cliffside, as the waterfall tumbled onto a layered terrain, almost like massive steps. After another two layers, the falls gathered into a lake that stretched out for miles. Surrounding the lake were other cliffs with their own waterfalls, towering trees, and blankets of flora. And in the sky, the sun was nearing the horizon, painting the world in pinks and purples and oranges.
“Sweet Force,” she whispered.
Your gaze shifted to the woman next to you. You wore a smile that would make Chewie gag.
The light of the sunset fell gently on her features, outlining her face with an ethereal sort of glow. Her eyes reflected the sparkling water and the sun, a window into her soul and the flame of fierce bravery that you knew she always carried in it. Lips slightly parted in awe, Rey looked more beautiful now than you had ever seen her, watching something so simple, so unknown and taking a galaxy’s worth of joy from it.
You wanted to see that look on her face every day. You wanted to drag her across the galaxy and show her every corner of it, if only to watch her smile the way she was now.
“It’s beautiful,” she said in quiet awe and respect.
You exhaled sharply. “Yeah. You are.”
She didn’t process your words for a long moment, but when she did, her head snapped over to look at you and her eyes went wide. “(Y/N)...”
“Rey, can I-- can I tell you a story?”
She frowned, uncertain, but nodded. Before you could speak, she reached out and took your hand once more, sending a wave of warmth up your arm.
You smiled and took a deep breath. “When my grandmother was young, she was the Queen of Naboo and, after that, its Senator. My grandfather was a Jedi and-- and he was tasked with protecting her, so he brought her home, brought her here. She showed him everything about this planet: the sights, the people. He was already in love with her then, but it was here that, with nothing but them, the Force, and the life around them, that she realised she loved him back. He was a kid from Tatooine who had never seen anything like Naboo before and watching him discover something she loved so dearly, she just...knew.”
“Sounds familiar,” Rey said with a little laugh, her voice soft.
You echoed the noise before lifting her hand, bringing it to your lips and kissing her knuckles gently. “I have watched you come from nothing, seen you face down the most terrifying people in the galaxy and hardly blink. You terrify and amaze me, Rey, and I-- I think I’ve been in love with you for much longer than I thought.”
“Oh, (Y/N),” she breathed out. Turning to face you, she put her free hand on your cheek, caressing it with her thumb. “I’ve never-- well, I’ve never really...had anyone. Your family took me in and that-- that means the galaxy to me, having a family. You are so, so kind and so much more than I ever hoped for. I’m nothing. I don’t have anything, (Y/N), just this lightsaber. I don’t even have a name. How could you possibly love me?”
Unable to resist, you placed a fond kiss to the inside of her wrist. “Take mine.”
She blanked. “What?”
“You are not nothing. You are everything to me,” you told her firmly. “If you want more than that lightsaber, more than this family we have, take my name. It belongs to you...and so do I.”
Rey opened her mouth and then paused, unable to find words. Instead, she decided on an action.
She grabbed the collar of your robes and pulled your forward, slanting her mouth against yours. You did not squeak as she would claim later, but you did make a wordless noise. After a moment, you pulled her in close, slipping your arm around her waist.
For an innocent, young desert scrapper who had supposedly never kissed anyone before, she was damn good at it.
When you finally pulled away, you couldn’t help resting your forehead against hers.
(A Keldabe kiss, Aunt Ahsoka and Uncle Rex had called it. It was just as intimate as any regular kiss and meant so much more)
“Rey Organa-Solo has a ring to it,” you murmured against her lips.
She laughed, a sweet, song-like thing that melted your heart again. “Is that a proposal?”
“Definitely,” you said, kissing her again. It was soft, but sank into something deeper, the sort of kiss your father would say he and your mother shared after defying death yet again.
A fairytale moment in a fairytale place. And, technically speaking, you were royalty.
“I think,” Rey said when you finally let go again, “that we have a lot more to see.”
You grinned. “Naboo first, love. But after that, believe me, I’ll show you the galaxy.”
a/n: i got a request for a poe dameron x solo! reader so here we areeee :))
summary: as the daughter of han solo and general organa, you receive a lot of attention. one day at the base, you run into finn, a newbie to the resistance. the two of you hit if off, and your best friend, poe dameron, becomes extremely jealous.
it was late at night, the base silent as many of the soldiers were asleep in their quarters. on the other hand, you were wide awake, sneaking around in the area where all the ships, cruisers, and speeders were located. you knew your mother would be furious if she found out what you were doing, but you had your father’s curious spirit.
you snuck around, in attempts to find the millennium falcon. for some reason, you were especially drawn to that ship. your mother always told you that it was due to the fact that it was your father’s beloved ship.
your heart ached at the thought of your father. just a month ago, he was murdered. the individual behind the murder made your heart ache even more. the man responsible was your own brother, ben. you wanted nothing more to reach out to him, in attempts to bring him back home. however, whenever you tried to find him, something always went wrong.
in the darkness, your shoulder clipped a speeder. you covered your mouth in attempt to hide the pained screech, but it came out muffled. tears brimmed your eyes, and you ducked down once you realized that someone was on patrol.
“hey!” a voice yelled out, “who’s there?”
fuck. fuck. fuck. you repeated inside you head, hoping that the person wouldn’t find you.
“i can see your shadow,” the voice stated, his tone assertive, “come out, whoever you are.”
you sighed, realizing you had no choice but to show yourself. you stood, coming face to face with the stranger in front of you.
“(y/n) solo?” the man raised a brow, “what are you doing out here at this time of night?”
“i’m a fully grown adult,” you snorted, eyeing the man in front of you.
the man was medium height, and had a good build to him. you figured he was ex-soldier, just by the way he carried himself. he had beautiful brown skin, matched with curious brown eyes. he was handsome for sure, but young. a little too young for you, even though you were only twenty-four.
“but you’re the daughter of the general,” the man retorted, “you’re very important to the resistance. you shouldn’t be wandering around at night.”
you giggled, “i know how to manage myself, thank you. what’s your name?”
“finn,” the man responded, glancing at the ground, “i don’t have a last name.”
“where are you from?” you raised a brow.
you had been tied to the resistance as long as you could remember. you had seen quite a few faces in your day, but since you helped on the base, you knew almost everybody. this man was unfamiliar to you.
“i don’t remember,” finn replied, his face crestfallen, “i used to be a soldier for the first order.”
this bit of information was surprising to you, “you quit or something?”
“i quit a month or so ago,” finn answered, “i couldn’t handle it anymore. i acted on an instinct.”
“it must have been the force,” you remarked.
“what are you doing out here?” finn raised a brow, his tone curious.
“ummm,” you bit your lip, “routine patrol.”
“you’re not a good liar,” he remarked, chuckling, “well since you’re out here, i could use the company.”
“you want my company?” you were shocked by his statement. usually, you weren’t used to offers like this.
“i mean,” finn rubbed the back of his neck, “who wouldn’t such a beautiful woman’s company?”
“i think she’s heading back to her quarters, actually,” a new voice came from the shadows.
you recognized your best friend’s voice immediately. poe dameron emerged, a solemn look on his features. his jaw was clenched, and he appeared tense. you didn’t understand why. poe worked with finn on several important missions. he even let finn keep his favorite jacket.
suddenly, you made the connection. this was the finn poe talked about all the time. finn, the infamous first order soldier who went rogue. poe admired the kid immensely for his sacrifices and his loyalty to the resistance.
“oh,” finn sucked in a breath, “well, it was nice to finally meet you, (y/n) solo.”
“nice to meet you as well, finn,” you flashed him a wide smile as poe lead you away, his arm around your shoulders.
the two of you strolled away, waves of anger radiating off poe. you wondered what was wrong, and why he acted to tough in front of finn, although they were good friends. part of you wondered if you did something wrong.
“what else did he say to you?” poe inquired, leading you in the direction of the base.
“nothing?” your tone was sharp, full of sass, “you didn’t need to butt in like that, he was just being a kid.”
“yeah,” poe snorted, “an idiotic one.”
rolling your eyes, you stopped dead in your tracks, “poe, stop acting like a jealous boyfriend.”
“i can’t help it,” his voice was quiet, “i hate it when other men, creatures, and whatever else hit on you because you’re the daughter of a solo and princess. those people just want you because of your title. they don’t see the way your lips curve into that beautiful smile, or how you scrunch your nose when you laugh. they don’t realize how easy it is to fall in love with your vibrant personality.”
“poe dameron,” you swallowed, “are you in love with me?”
poe glanced up at you, his eyes full of nothing but love, “isn’t it obvious?”
your breath hitched in your throat, your cheeks burning bright red. ever since you met poe, you fell in love with him at first sight. it was the only reason you didn’t want to date anyone else. poe stole your heart from the moment you met him.
sure, he had a cocky personality. but you knew it was because he knew he was a good pilot. he was probably the best pilot the resistance had. but people didn’t see the other side of him. the way his eyes softened whenever you walked into the room. the way he grinned whenever he made you laugh. the way he made sure you were his first priority.
for the past few months, other soldiers on base teased you relentlessly about your relationship with him, saying that you guys made a good couple. you always just brushed it off, as the two of you were too close. besides, poe was several years older than you. your mother wouldn’t be thrilled, but you figured she would warm up to the idea of you two together. besides, you were a full grown adult. you had the capabilities to make your own decisions.
and you wanted nothing more to be with poe. that’s all you longed for, to be his.
“so,” poe sucked in a breath, “you haven’t said anything, so i assume you just-“
“i am completely and utterly in love with you, poe dameron,” the words tumbled of your mouth, “i have been since the moment i saw you.”
a large smile enveloped poe’s face. you hadn’t seen the man smile that big since the last victory of the resistance. he picked you up, hugging you tightly for a few seconds. he set you down, and you felt his lips against yours, kissing you passionately. his tongue raked your bottom lip, begging for entrance. you allowed it, letting his tongue explore your mouth.
you felt the world around you slow as poe kissed you, his hands cupping your cheeks. as the kisses got more intense, his hands made their way to their back of your neck, desperately trying to pull you in closer to him. you wrapped your arms around his neck, savoring every moment of the kiss.
poe pulled away, “you have no idea how long i have been waiting to do that.”
“can i have another?” you pleaded.
“of course babygirl,” he grinned, “you can have all the kisses you want from me.”
he kissed you again, this time more forcefully than the last. you closed your eyes, loving the way his lips felt against yours.
“can i stay with you, tonight?” you looked into his eyes, your lip slightly swollen.
“i don’t have any issue with that,” poe smirked, taking your hand. he intertwined your fingers together.
the two of you resumed your walk back to the quarters. in the moonlight, you looked radiant. poe smiled to himself, admiring your features. as long as he had you by his side, he knew he could do anything. loving you came easy to him, and he wanted you to know that he would love you for the rest of your lifetime.
for once in his life, the pilot felt like he was truly winning.
