Shes a bioengineering project that Shadow wants to discard, a combination of his DNA and DNA he scientifically determined was most compatible with his own, a harvest mouse. Though surrounded by love from other sources, she starts to become bitter and act out at the lack of fatherly love she receives from Shadow. Hmmm… it’s tempting to believe that. Most of the alternate versions of ourselves that we’ve met so far have been together, romantically even. I’m not sure where to place Arthur and Lancelot on that, as that’s a crossing of worlds in itself…

But I don’t think we’re inevitable in every universe. The other versions of us are different in many ways. I think the choices we made brought us together, and there are universes out there where we don’t make those same choices.

Y’know, I like that better than some invisible force pushing us together.
