Being a regular somewhere is the best.

No seriously.

When I've had a long day at work and need a pick me up, or just when its friday and I deserve a treat for surviving, being able to go by my favourite boba shop, where the owner will greet me with a smile and a "hi! what'll be today? [drink I mentioned wanting to try last time]?" is amazing.

She'll rec me stuff. I can give her feedback on some of the new drinks. If I look like I had a rough time, she'll double my drink or give me additional bobas. Today she gave me a whole drink as a freebie, and I really needed that extra bit of kindness. Its been a rough week.

And, that aside, its so fun to chat with her and catch snippets of who she is and to share a little about myself in return.

I hope I make her smile as much as she makes me smile.
