I can imagine an AU of the Batfamily where Ra's Al Ghul was able to find Jason after he went haywire from the resurrection, and where he brought him back to Bruce as intended.

Despite the heavy therapy he would need and is given, Jason is taking advantage of the fact he died 24/7.

Bruce : Jason, please go and help Alfred empty the dishwasher.

Jason : You ask me to do that ? WHEN YOU LET ME DIE BRUCE ?

Bruce, still not feeling good about that and on the verge of tears : Sorry nevermind.

Jason : I'll do it...

Bruce, calming himself down: Oh really ? That's nice of you to-

Jason : IF YOU KILL THE JOKER !

Bruce, tearing up again : "I'm sorry son, he's the ambassador of Iran right now..."

Jason : "Ra's would do it."

Bruce, now annoyed a little : "He's the leader of the League of ASSASSINS. Of course he would."

Jason : "... He'd still do it. Do you think I could ask him, since, you know, he got me killed ?"

Dick, who assisted silently to the discussion till now : "Maybe ? You should try."

Bruce : "Dick ! Jason, no."

Jason : "Jason, yes."

Cue Jason evading the Batcave, maybe with the help of Dick. He travels to the HQ of the league and asks to meet Ra's. He come back to the manor a few weeks later with a little boy by his side.

Jason : "So, he said yes but expect to fight him again. Also you've got a 6 year old murdery son, his name is Damian. I kidnapped him. That's why you'll probably have to fight Ra's. But he'll be better off here."

Bruce : "I'M SORRY WHAT."

Jason : "Also I'm not gonna be Robin anymore, call me Red Hood. That one kid who stalks you would be a pretty good Robin."

Bruce : *Confused scream* "I've got a stalker ??"

Dick : "Oh yeah that's Tim. I saw him in front of my apartment in Bludhaven. I think he knows our secret identities."

Bruce : "You knew ?!"

Damian : "Are you sure that man is my father ? He doesn't seem like a great detective."

Jason : "He is most of the time. And the rest of the time HE LET ME DIE!"

Bruce : "NOT AGAIN ! STOP IT !"

Dick: *Dies of laughter*

fun little fic where Mary or John was running some kind of social media on the side and featuring Dick in their posts, but Dick only really realizes the extent of it when some of his "fans" try to sue Bruce for not posting any updates about him and claim he is denying them access/knowledge to Dick's emotional and physical well being which they previously had access/knowledge of and the abrupt cut off proves he has some nefarious intentions, and if Bruce really cared he would have maintained Dick's previous sm presence. The case goes nowhere, obviously, not least of all because Bruce is clearly able to point out how none of them gave a shit when Dick was a ward of the state and placed in juvie.

Part of crime alley thinks that he's made up to try and scare them into submission, part is furiously trying to convince the others that he's real and he's actually super chill if you're not an asshole.

Jason is pissed that the street kids keep telling people that he comes around with treats and warm blankets (he has a reputation to uphold)

The working girls talk loudly about red hood ripping into anyone who hurts women or children.

To everyone he protects, Red Hood is like an older brother (even if he is a little prickly).

To his enemies, he's the flashes of movement at the edges of your vision. He's the unsettling sounds that have you whipping your head around. He's the figure you swear you saw in the doorway. He is death incarnate.

After sticking around in the Infinite Realms for a while, a reformed Dan decides his younger self has the whole governing thing covered and leaves for Earth. He ends up setting up a soup kitchen in a place called Gotham where his "weirder" behaviors won't be noticed. It is there he meets a young boy by the name of Jason Todd.

somehow   ,   their   paths   keep   crossing   ━━   call   it   fate   or   just   a   coincidence   ,   but   it   almost   always seems   as   though   mason   can   never   escape   bruce   wayne's   cheesy   smile.   he's   a   handsome   man   ,   there's   no   denying   that   ,   but   there's   something   about   the   way   he   carries   himself   that   just   doesn't   seem   genuine   in   the   pianist's   eyes.   he   seems   nice   on   the   surface   ,   charming   &   enigmatic   ,   but   mason   knows   the   rumors   about   him   enough   to   know   how   things   would   go   if   he   gave   him   a   chance   ,   how   quickly   he   would   probably   be   tossed   aside   as   soon   as   he   got   what   he   wanted.   he   doesn't   like   to   think   about   him or anyone else   like   that   ,   but   the   evidence   seems   to   prove   his   concerns   correct.   after   a   terrible   ,   horrible   love   life   ,   mason   still   isn't   really   ready   to   experience   that   all   over   again.   when   he's   ready   ,   he'll   take   the   necessary   steps   to   do   it   his   way   &   not   just   jump   in   to   the   bed   of   whoever   approaches   him   without   any   plans   to   talk   to   each   other   afterwards.   he   can't   do   that   again   ━━   his   heart   just   can't   handle   that   sort of pain & disappointment. if he considers jumping into another romance again , it'll be in his own time & on his on terms.

bruce   had   already   attempted   to   give   him   a   ride   home   ,   an   offer   mason   kindly   declined.   the   opera   is   quite   a   ways   from   his   apartment   ,   but   he   rather   likes   the   walk   there   ,   as   it   allows   himself   a   chance   to   chat   with   neighbors   &   stop   by   his   favorite   shawarma   place   too.   hands   deep   in   his   coat pockets   ,   mason   flashes   the   playboy   a   charming   smile.   ❝   you're   very   determined   ,   aren't   you   ?   ❞   mason   notes   with   a   light   chuckle   ,   amused   by   his   persistence   ,   maybe   even   flattered   ,   but   the   answer   is   still   no   ━━   he's   just   not   ready.   ❝   maybe   some   other   time   ,   mr.   wayne.   not   sure   if   i'm   ,   uh   .   .   .   ready   for   that   sort   of   commitment.   ❞   readjusting   the   tote   bag   he   had   on   his   shoulder   ,   he   offers   bruce   a   teasing   salute   ,   turning   to   walk   away   so   that   he   can   head   home.   ❝   good   night.   i'm   sure   i'll   see   you   again.   maybe   someday   ,   i'll   let   up   &   finally   say   yes.   ❞   unlikely   ,   but   the   future   is   unpredictable.   still   ,   mason   is   not   interested   in   being   a   plaything   ━━   he   has   his   own   problems   to   deal   with   &   bruce   has   better   options   available   to   him   anyway.   he'll   get   over   it   .   .   .   eventually.
