I finally finished it. 

I’m going to be busy with freelance work for a while after this so I may not post as much for a bit. But, when I can I’ll be drawing :P I’ve been in the artzy mood.

So, stray thought....

Space Emergency Services.

Roaming, massive hospital ships with hanger bays packed with fast first responder shuttles full of first aid equipment. A dozen armored ambulance units to keep rescued spacers alive and intact for transport. A few heavy rescue units with massive tugboat engines for ship rescue equipped with a contingent of fire-suppressing drones. Cargo ships refitted for mass-casualty rescue.

And its all crewed by humans and aliens, trained and equipped to pull you out of the fire, to patch your wounds, who embrace the phrase “So Others May Live”.

So imagine being stranded in the black with your ship venting atmosphere. Imagine being lost on an alien world, your ship scuttled and useless. Imagine being adrift, alone, your distress beacon beeping in your ear, no way out and no hope left.

And then you see, out of your cracked view screen, in the sky above you, when you had given up, when you thought all was lost, the shining white hulls streaked in red, the blue Star of Life, the St. Florian’s cross, all shouting to you the same message;

“Its going to be okay. We’re here to help.”
