This project took me several months to complete and I’ll have to say I’m happy with how it turned out.

Also wanna thank @gay-barbarian @literallymercy @universi8 for being my beta readers

If you plan on reading this while listening to the album you should know I did tweak some of the lyrics on certain songs and slightly altered a few other scenes.

Also if you see some typos throughout the script please let me know so I can fix it. I went back and edited this over this 15 times thinking I fixed all of the mistakes but I still end up coming across a few. This thing is 172 pages and I did not feel like going through all those again.

Anyways, enough of my yapping

I wrote a spec script for Good Omens.

This past week, I was out to coffee with a friend of mine and we got to talking about writing (as we often do). She has more of a television/movie background while I have more of a theatre background.

In the midst of our discussion, she brought something called a "spec script". When asked what exactly that was, she explained (at least in terms of television), it's an unprompted and uncommissioned script written for an already established show. The purpose is to help demonstrate a writer's ability to match the style, format, and voice of a show they didn't create.

Immediately, I said, "That just sounds like fanfiction!"

(Obviously, it's not, but I enjoyed the parallels nonetheless.)

So, of course, I had to write a spec script. (Season 3, episode 1 of Good Omens.)

Let it be known that I did not do this in the hopes of joining the writing team as I know Neil has that MORE than covered. I just did it for fun, but I'm really proud of it and I hope you head on over to AO3 and take a look at it.

Probably too many swear words. Probably too much AziraCrow too quickly. Probably too blasphemous. Definitely wonky formatting.

But I had fun! And that's what fanfic is all about.

Jeff hands Annie his phone, she looks at it and frowns.

DEAN enters. Long hair now. Played by Hillary Clinton. Wearing a dress.

DEAN: Hey guyyyyys just so you know I’ve been on hrt for seven years. My name is Janet now.

ANNIE EDISON: You look familiar.

DEAN: Yeah, I’m the dean.

BRITTA ENTERS AND LOOKS AT THE DEAN.

BRITTA: Holy shit!

Everyone looks at her.

JEFF WINGER: What’s wrong?

BRITTA: Nothing, it’s my new catchphrase.

JEFF WINGER: We’re doing catchphrases now?

ABED NADIR ENTERS.

ABED: I work for the CIA.

BRITTA GASPS.

ABED: What’s wrong, compadre?

BRITTA: Nothing’s wrong I’m just breathing normally. I have sleep apnea.

JEFF WINGER: Sleep apnea isn’t real

ANNIE, WHO HASN’T TALKED IN A MINUTE: Yeah, sleep apnea isn’t real.

DEAN: Sleep apnea was made up by the CIA (MK ULTRA— CIA program involving illegal experimentation on human test subjects (1953–1973))

ABED: Yeah
