if it was possible i think this episode was even louder then the last episode was on how buddie is absolutely going to happen and we may get our first canon stuff by the end of this freaking season.

My mind was whirling this entire episode. I was shocked, then I was worried, then I was laughing, then I was shocked, then I was like 🤮🤮🤮 then I was FLABBERGASTED, then I was cooing, then I was like AWWW, then I was like 🤮🤮🤮, then I was shocked again!

I had to watch the episode twice because ya girl simply could not understand a word coming out these mumbler's mouths without subtitties, and then I had to do research cuz I was being a dumbass about what they were even talking about in certain scenes (I was so confused about "Manchurian catholic" "like sea monkeys!" I had to do several google searches and phone multiple friends for help).

I plan to gather my thoughts a bit more before I write any meta on this episode, but just in general, it's exactly what I was expecting: Eddie doubling down on Marisol. But what I WASN'T expecting was the introduction of Eddie's catholic guilt and it SPECIFICALLY pertaining to how he feels surrounding sex and his overcommitment crutch. GOOD LORD there's so much to unpack there and I'm not even sure it can be all unpacked. The amount of layers to sift through. Not to mention that a lot of it seemed like it was meant to be purposely vague in order to keep people guessing.

And all of that without even touching on the post-episode interviews and the eye-opening things we've learned there.

Thank GOD I have tomorrow off so I can just ruminate on it all.

But to answer your question, yes: I'm still 100% sure buddie is coming eventually.

If Arcane goes to Bilgewater there should be sea shanties. Like how the music in P/Z is a mix of rock, rap, and classical music to represent the cities. Bilgewater should have sea-shanties, maybe with some characters singing them.

Similarly, in that Irelia is a dancer (and apparently has a thing for duets), she should be allowed to sing a song or two in the Ionia show.

So very sleep deprived but dumb random idea about an Alador storyline we could have, I apologise if this doesn’t make sense.

Alador being the example of someone forced into a coven track they don’t like, we saw that Alador’s interested by magical creatures, wandering off after them. What if he was forced into or just stuck in the abomination track? and he’s used as another example of why the coven systems fucked up because your completely stopped from pursuing any other form of magic and you may not be in the one you want. Willow was ordinally stuck in the abomination track afterall.

And after new episode, if that wasn’t the only thing he was forced into if he was close with Darius but forced apart, maybe friendship like Willow and Amity maybe more?(maybe sad angst filled storyline were he’s glad Amity is rebelling and making her own choices and not falling in line like he did)

Maybe this having something to do with how different appearance/posture and stuff was between Amity’s flashback and current Alador.

I don’t know just dumb idea…I am very tired.

It could work, if they take their time and give it weight. Let Tk build up the lies & secrecy as he slowly (then swifty) spirals. Let Carlos be suspicious yet trusting then give him the gut-punch as his powerlessness hits. Have Tommy be torn between her legal responsibility and sympathy for Tk when he breaks the law... and finally: show us Tk in rehab getting better. Could be great if they're smart.

Yes, I agree that a good build up and taking time to grow the plot would be best. Even just hinting that things might be headed in that direction at first, a slow burn storyline. This won't happen, but I do think it would be interesting if they had a plot that was like Carlos studying to be a detective, and they take some of what he is learning and parallel that with some of the ways TK is keeping his addiction secret and how things slowly unravel (and to be clear, in my scenario, this parallel doesn't draw the connection between criminality and drug use, rather it focuses on the investigative angle of detective work and the idea of discovering truth). As Carlos gets closer to the exam, the signs start building, but they don't come together until a certain moment when they all come crashing down on him. It would be an interesting way to show how addiction creeps up on people and how the initial signs may be easy to overlook until there's finally that terrible realization that things have been wrong for a while.

That can also very much echo TK's experience too because it can show not just that he suffers from addiction but how that addiction impacts his thoughts. Like, they can show that it starts out with something small. And they can show him rationalizing his behavior, where he's engaging in harmful behaviors, but he's also like, "Well at least I'm not doing ___" but he ends up going a little deeper into his addiction with each rationalization. Or when he breaks his sobriety he could also experience all or nothing thinking where one slip up makes him think "Everything is ruined now, so I might as well quit trying," which can be a very common mentality. Of course, in the midst of it all, I'd want them to show the mental tug of war that his addiction would cause as the addiction and his positive coping tools battle.

I’ve noticed that there appears to be a small trend in these characters names.

Chara; Frisk; Kris.

All of them have “K” and “R” sounds in their names.

K and R...

KR... Karma.

Am... am I crazy? Correlation does not equal causation, as they say, and three pieces of data certainly isn’t enough to form a real conclusion.

It’s likely just a coincidence, but I still find it worth pointing out.

By the way, I didn’t draw that. Also the original looks much better. It’s sharper, properly colored, and not purposely cut in a bad way. What do you think about Eve kissing Malcolm in the promo for next week's episode?

After observing Eve’s suspicious behavior in ep. 5 “The Trip”, I’ve been very dubious about her intentions toward the Whitly family, including Malcolm. Even visiting Malcolm’s apartment vs. calling him on the phone this episode seemed odd. And I’m worried that being emotionally compromised by The Junkyard Killer case will leave him vulnerable to any additional manipulation. 

Maybe Eve isn’t trying to manipulate Malcolm. Maybe I’m misreading the situation. But I know I’m not alone in my assumption she’s bad news. And I credit the writers thus far with treating the audience like smart viewers. I’m holding them to a standard here. If they present us with the clues and we follow them, they can’t 360 the whole deal later in the season. That being said, I know the first season is almost over. I find it very convenient that Eve has been missing the last few episodes. I think the writers are setting something up for the finale, including a reveal of Eve’s character/intentions. It would make sense as a cliffhanger to keep the audience invested in the season 2 outcome.

Let’s predict how season 2 will be like (as a manga reader so real spoiler)

Yes, since I’m crazy I decided to do the adaptation job myself and tried to adapt the whole Goldy Pond arc for season 2. I think I still need to re-evaluate my predictions but we’ll see once season 2 is out. A few things before starting :

There’s spoilers from chapter 38 to chapter 112. If you haven’t caught up with the scans and don't want to be spoiled don't read this post.

I’m not a specialist in the narration field, I’m just well informed and I like those kinds of stuff.

I consider here that season 2 will get 24 episodes.

This is just a side note because I’m never too serious but I’ve been listening to Myth&Roid while making this so I kinda hope that they do one of the OP or ED for the next season.

I’ve read the whole Goldy Pond arc again for this. And I decided to cut parts like they did with season 2 : so little to no inner monologue, very little flash-backs. And some omake sometimes.

Also I want to Junichi Suwabe to voice the bunker man. And Jouji Nakata to voice Lewis. But that’s just because I like Fate/Stay Night. Okay sorry I’m going to be serious I assure you.

I imagined that the EDs of this season would be something similar to season 1, except that it’s with the Glory Bell kids and the Grand Valley kids.

The first OP would be about the forest and the bunker with a small shot of Goldy Pond at the end of it. The second OP would be about Goldy Pond and a small part of Cuvitidala.

I made this while thinking that the changes were as minimal as they were in season 1. It might not reflect what will truly happen. Don’t take what I say here for granted.

Okay let’s start now ! (I recommend you to have the manga next to you to understand better what I will be talking about)

Episode 1 :

The episode starts where we left of in season 1. It either uses the scene in chapter 38 where we see Isabella being scolded by her superiors or not. It doesn’t matter. The episode follows the event of the 4th first chapter after their escape. The inner monologue aren’t kept and instead replaced with conversations between Ray and Emma when needed. The episode end with the demons searching for them appearing behind Ray.

(The chase with the wild demon can also be placed in episode 2 if needed)

Episode 2 :

The episode starts where we left off the first episode. Most of the inner monologues are cut and instead replaced by a few movements from Ray. The actions scenes are extended. Events from chapter 43 to 45. The episode ends with Ray revealing that Sonju and Mujika are demons.

Episode 3 :

The episode starts before the OP. We have Emma’s reaction upon Learning that they are demon and then finding out that the kids are fine.

During the episode we follow the events of chapter 46 to 48. We have a visual explaination for what happened in between the two worlds. the episode end on the hopeful note that they might be able to flee but is quickly cut by a view of the demons searching for them.

Episode 4 :

The episode starts before the OP. The kids are Walking into the underground maze with Sonju and Mujika (chapter 48)

Follow the events from chapter 49 to 50 in the first part. The hunt is longer. Some omake’s are added (such as the kids imagining Norman handling a bow).

During the second part of the episode we follow the events of chapter 51 and 52. With Sonju’s fight being longer and more detailed. The episode end on the kids meeting the man of the bunker. (I’ll be calling him depending on where we are in the plot)

Episode 5 :

The episode starts where we left off the last episode and follow the events from chapter 53 to 56. Most of chapter 55 is cut (especially the bath scene) and most of the explanations about the bunker. The episode ends with the man of the bunker standing by the door in chapter 56.

Episode 6 :

The episode starts before the OP. We go back to where we left off in the last episode and add Emma mentioning the deal.

The episode follows the event from 57 to 59 and ends with Emma and Ray leaving with Mister (now he is Mister).

On a side note : here we basically finished the forest arc and the bunker arc in 6 episodes. You understand that with the episodes left, it clearly can’t be a season of 12 episodes, unless they wanted to stop in the middle of an arc. Which is a bad idea.

Episode 7 :

The episode starts before the OP with a preview of chapter 60.

The episode follows the events of chapter 60 to chapter 62. The chapter 62 being longer due to action scenes. Mister’s thought are said out loud to himself in chapter 62. The episode end with a preview of chapter 63 with Emma and Ray exhausted by the travel.

Episode 8 :

The episode starts before the OP, we see the small flash back of Mister from chapter 63.

Events from chapter 63 to 66. No inner monologue as always, and instead replaced with conversation between Emma and Ray and small flash-backs for Mister. the episode ends with the face of the Goldy Pond demons shown in small shots as the music is played at Goldy Pond.

Episode 9 :

The episode starts before the OP with the demons talking at the beginning of chapter 66.

Events from chapter 66 to 67 in the first part. Without flash backs. The second part finish chapter 67 and ends with the beginning of chapter 69. Only then we have the flash backs that were in chpater 67.

The episode ends with Emma and Violet in front of the windmill.

Episode 10 :

The episode starts where we left off. And follows the events from chapter 69 to 71. The chapter ends with the phone ringing. Omake’s are added such as Lucas trying to tell Mister’s name to Emma, and she explains in more details why she doesn’t want to know yet.

Episode 11 :

The episode starts before the OP with Peter Ratri in chapter 73 (without spoilers about William Minerva’s true Identity), we don't perceive Peter with his own thought but through the eyes of the people around him gossiping about him.

After the OP the episode goes back to chapter 72. The episode then follows the events from chapter 73 to 76 (without chapter 74) and ends with Lucas declaring war.

Episode 12 : (Warning : Spoilers for chapter 113 and after)

This episode is entirely dedicated to chapter 74 and Norman. This episode doesn’t have an OP and have a dedicated song as an ED. We learn more about lambda and Norman is starting to plan his escape plan with Smee. We have small glances at some of the lambda’s kids as Norman is judging them to see who would be the best as his partners. The episode ends with Norman line by the end of chapter 74.

This how ends the first half of the season, or season 2 depending on how they decided to adapt it. Now, onto the second half.

Episode 13 :

New OP ! The episode starts after said OP.

The first part of the episode is Gillian and Nigel kicking Luce’s ass. So chapter 77 and 78. The second part is the end of chapter 78 as well as chapter 80. The order of each scenes are changed so that Emma’s and Lewis talk ends the episode.

Episode 14 :

The episode starts before the OP with Gillian and Nigel scene where they found Bayon.

The episode follows the event from chapter 81 to 84. Those lines said out loud by Emma to Lewis :

The episode ends with Oliver being pierced by Bayon’s hand. Bayon and Pepe’s flash-backs are cut as well as any inner monologues.

Episode 15 :

The episode starts before the OP with a small preview of Bayon’s flash back.

The episode goes back to the beginning of chapter 84 to go through all the flash backs. The point of view is changed to match Bayon’s one. The first part of the episode ends with his flash back.

The second part is chapter 85 as well as chapter 86.

The episode ends with Mister eliminating Noum.

Episode 16 :

The episode starts where it left off in chapter 86. Lewis speech is more complet as it fuses his speechs in chapter 86 and chapter 87. 

The first part of the episode ends with the guns pointing at him in chapter 87. The second part finish chapter 87 and end with Mister appearing at the end of chapter 88. Most of the inner monolgues are cut.

Episode 17 :

The episode starts where we left off in the last episode and follows the events of chapter 89 to 92.

The episode ends with Emma being pierced by Lewis claws.

Episode 18 :

The episode starts before the OP with Ray’s thought in chapter 93.

The episode follows the event of chapter 93 to 95 and ends as Ray says that the world is changing. 

Episode 19 :

The episode starts before the OP with Mister running with Emma on his back in the forest.

The episode then follows the events of chapter 96 to 98.

The episode ends with the mysterious man hoping they are safe at the end of chapter 98. (We know who he is but let’s keep the secret okay?)

Episode 20 :

The episode start where we left off and follow the events of chapter 99 to 100.

Phil’s part is moved to the end of the episode to end the episode with Andrew asking Phil to talk with him.

Episode 21 :

The episode starts before the OP with the kids entering cuvitidala and observing their environment in chapter 101.

The first part of episode follows the events of chapter 101 and 102, and ends with Emma and the others revealing their face, indicating the timeskip.

Chapter 103 corresponds to the second part of the episode. Ending in Andrew finding them.

Episode 22 :

The episode starts where we left off. And follows the event of chapter 104 to 106 with a small part of 107. The episode ends with Yuugo and Lucas entering the bunker.

Episode 23 :

The episode starts where we left off.

Events from chapter 108 to 110 with a small part of 111.

The episode ends with Andrew holding Alicia and Dominic hostage.

Episode 24 :

No OP it’s the last episode. The episode follows the events of chapter 111 to 112.

Eventually we have a small flash back about Andrew’s past (since he seems to be related to one of the traitors). 

The episode ends with a shot of the mysterious man from episode 19 as well as Demon God asking Emma to come search for him (like at the end of chapter 101).

And this is the end for this season 2 ! This is only my idea of what it would look like. But I’ll keep this post around for when the anime comes out to see if my predictions were right or totally off the track.

I’ve actually made a lot of last minutes changes when writing it to adapt the pace (the 5 last episodes were supposed to be way slower and the first 5 ones faster). (I especially struggled with chapter 74 prior those changes but now I think it’s perfect.)
