Comic preview: Spider-Man/ Superman 2026
Yes. I might be absolutely in love with this disgusting terrible terrible man. Comic book Otto can get it.
Gotta pay rent somehow
Can I talk about how absolutely devastating Karns story is to me
Like because genuinely Karn makes me so sad
He states that his mother was both the only person in his life who showed him love and also that he was different from his siblings because he didn't like killing people and as a result it got his mother killed
His entire family blamed him for it and they sent him to wander the multiverse for centuries doing the one thing he DOESN'T enjoy (killing) in a desperate attempt to repent and to be able to go home
The weld a fucking mask shut around his face as punishment
He spends the entire first arc thinking about how he just wants to go home only for the spider-verse arc to end with him realizing his family actually kinda fucking sucks
And then he finally finds actual healthy connection and care in the other spiders and Web Warriors
AND THEN THEY FUCKING KILL HIM
He spends most of his life wandering the multiverse trying to get back to a family that never even loved him to begin with and when he finally realizes that they don't and never WILL love him he dies
I'm NOT okay

Amazing Spider-Man #91 (1970)
The Taxation of Spider-Man
I was just thinking about Silver Sable which is something I do a bit more after I saw the PS4 version, mostly because I don’t like that version, and something occurred to me. In Amazing Spider-Man #321 when Silver Sable offered to pay Spider-Man a thousand dollars a day, an offer he accepted, how does he file that in his taxes? I mean when you really get down to it multiple thousands of dollars for someone like Peter is a lot. It’d definitely be a red flag if something like that appeared before the IRS. The only way I can really imagine that Peter could have gotten away with that, save for revealing his identity, was by lying in his tax return. In other words Spider-Man, a superhero, probably lies about his taxes. Just thought that was kinda crazy.
I will admit, when I first saw Black Cat with red hair, I thought the writers went off the deep end and made Mary Jane Black Cat. That is until I did a bit more research to find out this is an alternative version of Natasha, aka Black Widow, or in this case, Red Cat in the new Spider-man Alien reality comics.
I still need to sit down and thoroughly read the series, but I can’t help but like the idea of an AU scenario of this pairing, maybe fanfic in the future. I put the last photo of Spidey x Black Widow to show at one point Black Widow was into Spider-man before.
