Question for Surrender from the Future: What was the reaction of the rest of your family to Jack?

Woo, mixed feelings I guess?

You already know how Trendy reacted, he was nervous but supportive while being the typical protective big brother.

Fender didn't really care? He's mostly surprised I even managed to pull off a long-term relationship. He honestly thought we'd break up after a year or so, given that was my record before I got with Jackie. He asked me quite often at the beginning if I truly am sure that I love him, which, while annoying, was justified because I do kind of have a history of dating people when I wasn't sure how I actually felt... Though I think he's happy for us, he and Jack actually got along pretty well during our wedding.

Splendor was very much excited, he was giggling and kicking his feet when I told him Jack and I first started dating. Both he and Trender reminded me to not hold back if Jack for some reason crossed me given his more snarky and violent nature isn't exactly unknown, but I promise he's a teddy bear. But uh yeah, definitely the happiest out of the bunch.

Slendy I think was conflicted, mostly? He didn't want me to pick up Jack's murderous tendencies that only got stronger after his zalgoid corruption, but if we look at our family history it- it's in the blood. I don't think there's any way around it, though I'd mostly only do it for the sake of protecting. We will not talk about the times I assisted Jack in getting food. He did say, and I quote, "I may not have been the kindest to you, but if Jack hurts you, you immediately come to me", which I found pretty nice of him. He isn't the first to say it but still.

Taavi I told over the phone, since we live kind of far apart from each other. Initially surprised because he didn't think Jack would be my type, in fact he's the type of guy I'd be terrified of, but happy nonetheless. They went out of their way to send me a cake, which I don't know HOW survived the trip but uh.. it did, so.. yeah. Not gonna take it for granted but that is mad impressive. And it tasted good too!

Should I talk about my parents too...?

I mean... I only actually told them when they summoned me to their palace and that was a few years after Jack and I got married, though I'm pretty sure they already knew? They're the same status as Zalgo, so somewhat omniscient beings.

To say they were not keen on our relationship is a bit of an understatement. They couldn't care less if he was human, although they prefer I married some other powerful being. No, the reason we got into a physical fight was because Jack had zalgoid blood because of his corruption, and if you know a little bit about our family history then uh... Yeah, Malachite and Blachlust don't like Zalgo or any of his kind. That's how I got my scars, by the way. We're not on talking terms anyways, so... My son really hates them, which I can't judge, I hate them too.

Actually, Jack and my closest brothers all hate them, what am I talking about? Lol

I never really talked to any of my other siblings, especially the elder ones, but I imagine they'd be pretty disapproving, they older ones have very similar views as our parents..

But uh yeah, that's about it I think. Geez, this was a long one, wasn't it?

Both genderless, although Malachite takes on the "mother" role while Blachlust is the "father" (yes, they look like a twink and Malachit teases them about it, just to get hit with "you're the one who likes being put on a leash")

Splendor Mansion Head Cannons.

Splendor used to share Slendy's mansion, separating it into West and East wings respectively. However after a not so friendly incident in the 80's involving laughing jack and Jill, Splendor chose to move himself and his proxies/helpers to a mansion he built himself.

Speaking of the proxies/helpers.. The reason why he 'collects people' so to speak is because he feels the need to give people who usually don't quite fit in a soft place to land.

Splendor's mark so to speak, takes form of multicolor polka dots in a straight line wrapping around usually one's wrists, waist, ankles, or neck.

He also uses his Proxies/Helpers to send out on missions to go fetch him a magical artifact or two. Usually something particularly dangerous which he doesn't want falling in the wrong hands. This usually causes his Proxies to step on Slender's proxies toes quite a bit.

Anyways onto the house itself. I believe that the respective mansions can travel to wherever Slender or Splendor wants them to be. Splendor rather likes parking his house on the west coast in red wood forests or beside Rocky beaches.

Splendor's mansion itself is rather hard to find if you don't know what your looking for. Basically, if you actively look for it, you'll be lead in circles, but if you could care less, congrats you found it!!

The mansion itself has colorful walls of neon and pastel hues with various plants scattered about.

Splendor asks every new person in the mansion what their preferred decorating style is. And by the end of the initiation dinner, they'll have a whole bedroom styled to their personal taste.

^ because of this, many ghosts inhabiting the mansion get very disoriented when phasing through walls.

Due to the mostly pacifist nature of the residents in splendor mansion, most of the food made is vegan or at the very least vegetarian. Although for the residents who choose to eat meat/animal products there is a separate fridge for them.

There's a chicken coup in the front yard, where in which one particular black silkie rooster is named Jeff.

Has a walk in fridge mostly dedicated to ice cream, sherbet, and popsicles.

The pantry is always fully stocked with every comfort food imaginable.

Splendor's mansion has a lot of natural light coming in the form of, a ridiculous amount of stain glass windows that are downright impressive, various skylights on the second floor, floor to ceiling windows, two different sun rooms, and while not attached to the mansion a very big greenhouse.

The mansion regularly smells like freshly baked bread, desserts, and pastries.

I feel like the decor room by room is from completely different decades, but all goes together because it's so colorful.

Like the kitchen looks like a kitchen from a 2000s sitcom. With those themed kitchen appliances sprinkled in, like a hello kitty beldner, coca cola microwave, a my little pony waffle maker, and toy story pizza maker.

Meanwhile the main living area is very Victorian. (They even have a radioactive clock!)

And the hallways kinda look straight out of a weirdcore Pinterest board.

Has first aid kits in every bathroom. (For obvious reasons lol)

Day 21 - Splendorman! :D

He's so joyous and whimiscal! I like him a ton honestly, its a nice break from all the *Dark and edginess* this month has been with Creepypastas. Heheheh. 9 days to go!

Decided to try a quicker but different colouring technique, I actually really like it. Good for quick arts :) Especially with the background blending in, it feels unique and adds character. I may use this sometimes in the future.

Splendor Man: "Today BEN came into my room crying. I asked him what happened and he said that Sally put 80 cows in his Minecraft server while he was offline and that it was "entirely too many cows" and honestly I don’t know how to parent any of this."

Does Sally ever get lonely, being the only kid at the Mansion and all?

Sally

Sally isn’t completely lonely.

Splendor, being her main guardian, will make sure she always gets proper social interaction for a child her age.

She’ll have playdates with other children, some are ghosts like her, some are humans, and some are other species in the Underrealm.

She has tea parties, game nights, days out at the park and restaurants, and whatever else Splendor is comfortable spoiling her with that day!

Other days she enjoys spending time by herself, on any game system that’s been handed down to her.

This carries over to her (non-related) older siblings in the manor, egging Tim to have tea parties and Ben to play Roblox with her.

And while she does feel singled out sometimes, she always finds someone to talk to or something to entertain herself with, even if they’re not the same age as her.

Many of the creeps are young spirited, take Toby for example. He will happily bring her along to get slurpees at 7-11 or take her along to an arcade with Ben.

Everyone is always welcoming and happy toward her whenever she approaches.

And sometimes she’s invited on some daily adventures!
