Wrote a little something on a whim. Planned for a one-shot around 1,000 words, ended up with over 2,000 words and "chapter 1/?" instead.

(Chapter 1: "Fall")

Denial, they call it. The entire five stages thing has been discredited for ages, of course, but for some reason, people seem to love it. I never understood why. I like to think I skipped the anger stage, and not just because Kübler-Ross doesn't hold up to scrutiny. If anything, and I'm sure everyone who spent time with me back then will agree, I was mostly irritated at the inconvenience of it all. Have you ever realised how much of the world is a no-go zone when you can't walk?

I haven't written an outline or anything for this, just some ideas of where to go, so don't expect a breakneck update pace like with BbH on this one.

Blame @pjotwitter for posting Rachabeth until the brainworms got me (not that that took a lot of posting, I'm easily brainwormable) xD

Why do disabled people, fat people, authistic ppl and nonbinary always get hc’ed as asexual?

Dgmw have your headcannons, some of them i have too but it’s like all of them are fanon ace? Like i love the representation but is it really representiom if it’s just a concstant stereotype thats e v e r y w h e r e? And mostly no one else gets hc’ed as aro/ace it too! Like do you think just because i’m authistic and disabled and nonbinary i’m ow so innocent and i can’t have sex??? What??

Last night at "holy fuck why am I not asleep", my pinkie finger decided to start hurting in a way that's different from the usual joint pain.

Sleeping it off did not work.

Which technically means going to the doctor.

And arguing that I know how my fibromyalgia feels, prescription strength ibuprofen kinda defeats the purpose of me taking metformin, no I'm in the middle of a move, I can not actually just do low carb everything for the weekend until they can see me again, coming back on Monday when it hasn't improved and then being told it needs to be splinted and/or subjected to physiotherapy.

And since my patience is rather limited atm, I'm just gonna skip ahead and make do.

Yes that's painter's tape. Our first aid kit is in the new apartment. Yes I did have to heat that flat shape up to 80-ish degrees centigrade and press it against my skin because PLA cools down really quickly even if it is moldable.

The important thing is that I can move my hand without being in pain again, and I'm not losing sensation in my finger. I can't lift anything heavier than 5 kilos and I can't apply pressure to a stubborn jar lid but I've got 60% functionality back and that's as good as it's gonna get for now.
