Welcome to day 4 of #kianangyogatutorials : #STANDINGSPLIT! Today’s pose is Warrior III. This is a powerful pose that asks for a lot of core, glute, and quad engagement. It lengthens the hamstrings and hip flexors while help you to find balance. I love transitioning from this pose into standing split because it gets you into the alignment of squaring the hips and creating active energy through both legs. PLUS, since I'll be taking you through #splitpress too, this pose sets up your body for handstand (core/rib/hip alignment, joint stack from hands to lifted foot...). . .
